This volume opens up with an astonishing declaration: Sein is in charge of finding champions in his group (the students who missed school), while Kamimaro is in charge of finding champions in HIS group (the students who attended school). After winners from each are declared, they will be forced to face each other. It is also established that there aren't 108 cubes like originally reported...there are 109! All 108 cubes in the sky are filled with Kamimaro's group. However, there is a 109th cube (the one with the school skippers)....and unlike the other cubes in the sky, this one is at the bottom of a lake! With this cube being out of sight, it is proving difficult for police offers (such as Akashi's father) to track it down.
With that now out of the way, the rest of this volume is largely focused on their next game. After defeating the oni, the students are presented with 3 choices (each choice representing a different game). After the students choose which game they want to play, they are presented with one final twist...hehu. Akashi and several others in his group decide to play a sand digging game. Luckily for them, they survive.
This was another absolute banger. I'm so excited that there are so many volumes left to go. :DDD Can't wait for more! 5/5
