My Review:
4.5 "Best Part of My Day" Stars

WOW! I honestly don't know why I'm speechless right now. ARR consistently delivers a love story that resonates with me. But there's really something special about Falling Fast. I didn't think it was possible, but I love these characters more than any of her previous books. They are quite simply, lovable, sweet, and endearing. Absolutely amazing!

Here's the breakdown: Gia returns to Tennessee to care for her elderly grandmother. After moving to town she applies for a job at a local bar and meets our amazing hero, Colton. Sparks fly! And what follows is a beautiful story of love and acceptance.

Here's what I loved: The characters are top notch! Although Colton isn't your typical OTT alpha that were used to from this author, he is still PERFECT! He's sweet, gentle, caring, and wants to take care of his woman....everything a great partner should be. He takes charge of situations, but isn't completely overbearing. Gia is selfless, hard-working, and loyal. The two of them are a match made in heaven.
The setting is amazing, particularly because this part of the country is not far from me and I visit a couple times of years to experience the spectacular views that author describes.
Although the book is more of slow-burn than I expected, it completely works. The storyline calls for a slower pace and I think the author handled the timing perfectly.
The BOOM is back! Although it's not technically the boom in this series, that feeling is back. It's classic ARR and you'll get those tingles you got from the Until Series. I guarantee it!

I've gushed about every part of the novel and love pretty much everything...so why didn't I rate it 5 Full Stars? That was a difficult choice, but I did have a slight issue with the way the conflict was resolved. I won't go into details, but it was a small detraction. Other than that, I can't recommend this book enough. If you're an Aurora Rose Reynolds fan like me, you definitely want to read this. And if you not, you still need to read it!

So overall, this is an all-around great romance. It's a feel good story and the type of romance you want to curl up on the sofa with a warm blanket and devour. Highly recommended!

FALLING FAST: Is a stand alone contemporary romance novel by Aurora Rose Reynolds and is spoken in 'Dual Perspectives' In this we meet Gia and Colton

Imagine Gia Caro's surprise when she gets an urgent phone call at Day Dreamers Daycare where she teachers requesting that she come and see her Grandmother who is suffering from vascular dementia and is deteriorating fast. Gia was under the impression her Grandmother had passed away ten years ago. Uprooting from her teachers job in Chicago and leaving her best friend Natasha behind she makes her way to Tennessee, to take care of her Grandmother and make up for all those years lost to them.

Not long living in a new town and paying for odd jobs to be done around her Grandmother's house her funds are dwindling so she heads to an interview at the 'Rusty Rose' expecting to be interviewed by Rose the owner but is instead interviewed then hired by her son, her hot son Colton.

Colton is an ex marine who was shot up pretty bad and looked like he may never have the use of his legs again, hard work and determination he was back to the man he was.

One look at Gia and Colton was on a quest to make her his, she's the one, the one he's been waiting for.

True to the statement of the title, these two fall fast, first encounter you can feel the pages sizzling with their attraction, that first look, that first touch, everything is done at top speed.

This book was gorgeous as soon as I started reading it I was hooked, I loved both characters, Colton with his alpha male bossiness had me lapping up all his scenes and Gia who could hold her own when he became too much, I enjoyed the secondary characters and am hoping that's who the next book is about. I've not read many of this authors books but that really has to change because I really really enjoyed this one..

Falling Fast is book one in the Ruby Falls duet by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I adore this authors amazing heroes. They are always the alpha, sweep their women off their feet, protect them no matter what, and do whatever it takes to make them happy, types of guys. And this book was no exception.

Colton Allyster thought he was living the life he dreamed of in the marines and with the woman he thought he loved. But after he was injured which ended his career in the marines, he also lost the woman. Now he’s back home in Ruby Falls, managing his parent’s bar.

Gia Caro lived in Chicago, sharing a home with her best friend and working with children as a teacher in a day care. But then her world was turned upside down when she received a call that her grandmother in Ruby Falls needed her. That she had dementia. A grandmother Gia didn’t even know was alive. So she doesn’t hesitate for a second, packs a suitcase, and heads to Ruby Falls to take care of her grandmother.

As soon as these two see each other, the sparks are flying. Gia was adorable. I would say it was a bit of a meet cute. Gia needs an income so she gets a job at the bar Colt works at and quickly finds herself enveloped in Colt’s family’s embrace. A feeling she hasn’t had in a very long time.

I loved watching Gia and Colt fall for each other. But not everyone is happy about it and will go to whatever lengths possible to push them apart. It broke my heart what was taken from Gia regarding her grandmother. But, I adored watching Colt be there for her and show her what being loved feels like.

I loved this book so much. I loved Gia and Colt and all the secondary characters. Now I can’t wait to read the next book, Colt’s best friend Tide’s book in One More Time, which I will be starting momentarily!!

Why did I wait so long to read this book! Colton was pure ARR Alpha male hotness and I wanted to devour him. It was an insta love story but still had a ton of intrigue and and that amazing sexual tension that makes a book ten times hotter. The story was an emotional and cute story with just the right amount of heat, and I can't wait to go back and re-read it already. I really hope there will be more to come from these characters soon.

My rating moved down to a 3.5 Star only because I wanted to know so much more information about these characters, especially Colton since his past was a big part of the plot.

descriptionI enjoyed this one. It was classic ARR. Well written and well paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. The sex scenes were hot. There was no angst or drama to speak of. No OM drama. Some OW drama (more about that in a bit). There was a nice array of interesting side characters, and both main characters were fairly likable. Colton was your typical ARR hero. Alpha. Hot. Sweet. All in from the start. Not much else to say about him, to be honest. He was a great hero. Gia was also very likable. She was sweet and kind. My only issue with her was I found her ridiculously naive at times. The whole boyfriend conversation had me rolling my eyes. Stuff like that inevitably ALWAYS makes the heroine look like an idiot (IMO). Lastly, this was all wrapped up in a very sugary sweet epilogue.

description

So the OW drama...sigh. I don't know about y'all, but I for one am sick of absurd over the top cartoon villain OW drama in books. Can none of these heroes just have a normal ex?? Do they all have to be psychotic and ridiculous in what they do? I rolled my eyes SO much over the antics of Colton's ex in this one. It didn't overly bother me in the sense that it affected my rating, but I did find it distracting enough that I felt the need to mention it. *lol* In any case, even with that, I still enjoyed this one. So it gets two solid thumbs up from yours truly.description

Audiobook review. Really enjoyed getting to know Colton and Gia. Colton’s family was just what they story needed to round out a good cast. The plot was solid with enough going on to keep it interesting without too much to cause me to lose focus. Some parts were a bit predictable but the ride was still fun. There is definitely some ex drama which I’m not a huge fan of but it was executed well.

These two were seriously hot together. There is no skimping on the sexy here. I will definitely be continuing to read the series. I’m ready for the next!

The narrators, Lacy Laurel and Gregory Salinas, were chosen well. Their diction was clear and the pace was good independently of any rate I wanted to use at the time. Their inflections were strong and their execution was on point.

Complimentary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.

It's Live!

Aurora Rose Reynolds did it for me, again! I really adored this book! It was touching, emotional, funny and sexy. I could have kept reading about Colton and Gia and the rest of the family. I can't imagine there was 1 person who read Until June that didn't want to know more about this couple.

Colton- he was awesome. Sexy, sweet, loved his family, former marine with a determination that made him even hotter. He saw Gia and he knew. I loved his patience with her and her situation. He put just the right amount of pressure on her to win her over. He was her rock.

Gia- such a sweetheart. She'd lost both parents, and with the exception of her bestie Nat, was on her own I the world. I loved how she dropped everything to be with her grandma. She was loving, devoted and fragile, yet strong.

- No cheating - neither are with others after meeting
- no om drama
-ow drama - Colton's ex was psycho and tried to cause problems. He despised her. He didn't hesitate to put her in her place.
- No pushing away
-low angst
- no violence of any nature
- secondary characters were great and I want a story about a couple of them!
- great epilogue 3 years, then one more year out.... I would have loved even more!

2.5 stars?

Clumsy, but cute heroine.
Adorable?
I wondered how she survived before she met him…

A ‘hero’, who repeatedly called his ex bitch and cunt.
Should it make his characters strong and cool?!

OW drama overloaded.

In short: the h was the cutest

The story rubbed me the wrong way.

I have enjoyed all the books that I've read by this author, but I absolutely love the "Until" series, which also includes "Until Her" and "Until Him".

Apparently Colton and Gia where introduced in "Until June", though I have to be honest here and say that I didn't really remember this bit of info. All I cared about was getting to read a new Aurora Rose Reynolds book !!

So I can safely say...this book can be read as a stand alone...but why skip an awesome series ???

why-would-someone-do-that-gif.gif (554×314)

This author is one of the few, who can make me read insta-love..and not care about it. Her characters are known, to fall head over heels in love "at first sight" and for some reason I love that, when it comes to her books.

love+at+first+sight.gif (500×241)

A lot of her heroes are the protective "alpha" type and Colton sure is no exception. I absolutely loved him !! He was awesome, hot, sweet and very very sexy !! Gia was a nice heroine, but I would have loved her more, if she would have stood up for herself a bit more. She wasn't a doormat though...no worries. She was actually very sweet ... She's the kind of person, to give the clothes off her back, to someone in need.

When these two meet, it's love at first sight....especially for Colton, who knows exactly what he wants when he sees it.

SerenePossibleHamadryas.gif (500×280)

It takes a bit of time for these two to actually "get" together, but when they do....HOT DAMN !! It was sweet, sexy and HOT and Colton really knew what he was doing ;)

17892486.gif (500×206)

I really enjoyed this one and I loved the side-characters. I hope we will get Nat's book next. She is Gia's best friend and I really think she's my kind of girl !

Highly recommended, but then again...I recommend all books by this author ;)

* I found out I've read this one before.. I totally forgot it until I was reading it and put it on here. I still enjoyed it a lot.*

I enjoyed this one, but not as much as the Until series.
Maybe it's just because it's all kind of the same? It's nothing bad but this alpha didn't get my alpha fix. Maybe because it also was a bit of a fast one?
I really have a bad day, I know why don't you put your review off for now then? Because I only have bad days these days...

I love Aurora her writing style and her alpha's they will always have a special place in my heart! This one was also a bit on the scary side. Also a relating factor my gran had dementia also, she always told us she didn't wanted to end up like her mother (with dementia). So we took it bad she had it, but there isn't anything you can do about it so.. She still got live to be 91, but she had dementia from around her 88.

This was one of those books that was just ok for me. I really liked the background story with the heroine's grandmother and how she had to move to a small town. My rating probably would've been higher but I could not warm up to the hero at all. I have a hard time with heroes calling women, even their "psycho ex" a bitch or a c*nt. For me that's a huge turn off.

On the other hand, I'm sure this is just me, as there are a lot of five star ratings and ARR has a huge fan following. I really wanted to enjoy this one, but I wasn't wowed and the OTT hero grated on my nerves. With that said, I do think this will be an enjoyable read for some...especially if you're a ARR fan:)

Enjoyable, low angst romance. The heroine is shy, good with kids and just all around sweet. Maybe a little too sweet. The hero is former marines, owns a bar with his family and a protective hero. His ex is a total disaster and creates drama but I do like how the hero handles it. Overall a sweet romance.

I listen to the audiobook. And the female narrator is horrible. She can make the entire book boring due to her voice.

The story itself does not help at all. It is flat boring. There is not much character development. The romance and sexual tension is also boring to death. Too much insta lust/ insta love.

Its just not working for me

Hero loves heroine. Heroine loves hero. But Hero has a psycho bitch of an ex looming over him. The evil ex tries various tricks on the heroine so that she leave the Hero.

So,
If you want to read a book on an evil ow trying to separate the hero heroine ....read this.
If you are an Aurora Rose Reynolds fan.....read this.
If you like slow and low angst (yeh I mean dull😏).....read this.

The hero in this book has got to be one of the sweetest ,sexist hero that I have read of in a long time.
Every girl deserves a Colton..I loved that the minute he met the heroine,Gia, he knew that she was the one and only for him.The "Boom" was really working for this couple.
The setting of Lookout Mountain/Ruby Falls in Tennessee is a particular favorite spot of my family.
Sweet epilogue that made the perfect ending.

Thank God it's over!
It was 214 pages of suffering and my eyes are hurting from eye-rolling over the ridiculous story. It'll be impossible to find a book with more predictable plot, more overprotective hero or more innocent and virgin-y heroine who cries all the time. There is no chapter where she wouldn't cry in two situations at least.

Such a waste of my time.

Talk about a BOOM!!! Colton and Gia’s story is HERE!!!

I’ve been dying for Colton and Gia’s story since we got a glimpse into them on Until June, so you can imagine my level of excitement when Aurora Rose Reynolds announced the release of Falling Fast! I’ll tell you, it was a *running around screaming and squealing* kind of enthusiasm, since it was one of my most anticipated books EVER!

Watching her go, I know I’m fucked, because I have never in all of my life wanted anything the way I want Gia Caro.

“That’s the kind of woman you lay all your hopes and dreams on, the kind who will make the struggles you’ve been through worth it.”

Well, after finishing Falling Fast I can honestly say the level of giddiness and exhilaration was more than justified, because Colton and Gia were everything I’d been hoping and craving for, and then some!

“I’m in love with you, and I know that isn’t going to change. I don’t want to be without you, so if you said you wanted to live in Chicago… fuck, if you said you wanted to live in Hell, I’d follow you there and do it happily.”

“You just breathing my air makes me happy, baby,”

Colt might have come with a big of nasty baggage, in the shape of a crazy ex, but the man himself and his unwavering faith that Gia was the One for him, and that he wouldn’t allow her, anyone or anything stop him to show Gia they were meant to be, was absolutely swoon-worthy and one of the reasons for which I feel for him as fast as I did. That and his insanely HOT alpha manliness! Oh boy, was this man hhhhhhhooootttt! Straight to my Best Book Boyfriend and my ARR fav H list!

Aurora Rose Reynolds really outdid herself, giving us in Falling Fast, a super sweet, sexy and, one my personal fav trope, insta-love story in most perfect of settings. Loved and devoured it from start to finish, so much so that now I’m begging to see more of all these fantastic secondary characters, specially Colton’s brother and Gia’s bff! Can’t wait! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

“I love you, Gia. Had no idea what love was until you, but I know now, and I know I’ll always cherish everything you’ve given to me.”

I might have fallen fast, but I fell right into the perfect life.

”4 Falling Too Fast Stars”

I might have fallen fast, but I fell right into the perfect life.

I really enjoyed this book!

Colton and Gia were so cute together!

”I love you, Gia. Had no idea what love was until you, but I know now, and I know I’ll always cherish everything you’ve given to me.”

I liked their story and how smoothly it unfolded!

I love the “Until” series and her possessive heroes are my undoing but I enjoyed the slow pace this one had! It wasn’t all about “the heroine is the one, I want her, she’s mine, she doesn’t get out of my sight, and marry me and boom kids on the way”!

I mean don’t get me wrong I love all these and some, but I liked the pace this book had. They started to know each other and slowly fall in love and and plan a future together and finding their real one in the end!

Sweet story and awesome second characters!

”Best thing that ever happened to me is you. You’re the best part of my day, the best part of my life, and I’m really looking forward to spending my life with you.”

It’s been a while since I read one of ARR’s book without having blanks or unanswered questions!

It was refreshing and gave me hope that her next books will be as well written and detailed as this one! *fingers crossed* Because I have a long list from this author to read! More specifically an unfinished list because I love this author and I’ll read her books until the end of time!!!

“Dramatic Much???” O.o

...I tend to forget the world exists outside of
Colton when he is anywhere near me.

P.S. Can’t wait for Tide’s story! I wanted him pared with Natasha but who knows! ;p

P.S.S I really love the cover! So pretty!!!

"“Colton.” Evan smiles, and my eyes go back to Colton.
Holy hotness.
I mean, I have my very own hot guy, a man that is the definition of hot, but this guy is gorgeous. Tall and lean with dark hair and even darker eyes, surrounded by thick lashes, his jaw is square and shadowed with stubble accentuating his full lips and straight white smile. Seeing him and his smile, I do not even understand how his bitch of an ex could stand to walk away from him."

Until June by Aurora Rose Reynolds

"“Gia, baby, come here,” Colton calls, looking to his right, and I follow his gaze toward the open door to an office, where a very pretty, petite girl with loads of curves, long, dark, wavy hair, olive-toned skin, and startling green eyes is standing next to an older woman who looks a lot like Colton.
“One day, I’m going to kill your son,” I hear the girl, who must be Gia, mutter. The woman she’s standing next to laughs loudly, saying something I can’t hear before shoving her our way.
“You rang,” Gia says when she’s close, and Colton grins at her.
“Gia, this is Evan. We were in the marines together, and this is his wife, June,” Colton says, and my heart contracts, and not in a good way. I’m not his wife anymore, and even though I’ve known that for a very long time and felt like I came to terms with it ages ago, hearing what once was kills me.
“Nice to meet you guys.” She smiles, showing off two dimples, one in each cheek.
“You too.” I smile back, as Evan lifts his chin and asks, “This your girl?”
“Yeah,” Colton says, smiling as Gia states, “No,” turning and tilting her head way back to frown up at him."

Hero may not want the OW, but the whole book is OW shitfeast! It is heavily majorly completely relied on the OW drama.
So it’s a no from me.

There’s also the fact the hero calls the OW a bitch or a cunt without any remorse and nonstop! Pretty sure so does his BFF! No matter what, it was quite unacceptable, if you’ve moved on, you need to leave the bitterness and name calling behind.

“I want you to let me in. I want you to let me be there for you when you need me.”
“Colton,” I start, but he pulls his feet off the rail and stands.
Leaning over me, he wraps his hand around my jaw, forcing me to look into his eyes. “Let me in, Gia,” he urges, before bending at the waist and pressing his lips to my forehead.”

This was such a low in angst read, it was more uneventful than anything.

Recommended for anyone looking for a dramaless instalove with a lil bit of alpha, a lil bit of sweet.

A sweet story

I know that the characters are from Until June. I don't remember them from that book which means I'll have to do a re-read in the near future. The story was sweet, but also a little sad. Gia lives in Chicago and one day gets a call about her grandmother who she thought passed away 10 years ago. She has dementia and isn't doing so well. Apparently, her stepmother concocted the story that her grandmother died two weeks after Gia's dad passed away so she could keep Gia with her because she only got money if she took care of Gia. What a cold-hearted biatch!

The instant attraction between the two characters was great. I did like that they didn't fall into a sexual relationship right away and got to know each other first. It was just sad that Gia lost out on so many years with the grandmother she loved and that her grandmother never fully realized it was her granddaughter who was there taking care of her because of the late stages of her dementia.

I did wish that her stepmother got hers in the end, instead of hearing the news that she was getting married. I was also hoping that Gia's best friend Nat would've fallen for Tidal. Hopefully that is another book after this one since I feel in love with this town.

This was a sweet story. It certainly won't change your life, but it was fun and kept me reading until I finished it.
We have insta-love, drama, family, hot scenes, and sweet scenes (almost too sweet, that had me rolling my eyes, but whatever).

So... This is perfect if you are planning on spending the evening reading.

I had mix feelings about this one. We needed some angst in here, which I thought was lacking.

This is a nice story, but it was pretty much the same as all the other books of this author. The Hero is a typical 'Aurora Rose Reynolds' hero. Colton falls in love with Gia the moment she comes at his bar for her job interview. He has a crazy ex. So you know how the story is going to be. Hero and heroine in love. But the crazy ex loves the Hero and she can't see them together.

It's a good read, but don't expect anything different than anything that happens in any of the other books. It's pretty much all the same. It's safe but I don't like the ow drama.
