Loved by You was a fun Christmasy cowboy read.

The Gist: Justice stopped by an art fair and, well, he watched some clog dancers and fell in love. Too bad she's not interested in having her own personal cowboy and is hiding some major secrets.

Justice and Fiona were nice. He's a stand up guy. Knows what he wants and goes after it, loves his family, does what's right and protects those who can't protect themselves. And Fiona is a woman doing everything she can to provide for her daughter and keep her safe from a horrible past that's always nipping at her heals.

Their romance was slow but fast? lol He's all in from the second he spots her. She's...not so much on board and needs a little convincing from Justice and her daughter. They definitely have chemistry and as things get a little dangerous trust and fondness and a little more. Things do heat up real nice but it's limited overall.

There's a spot of danger which was a little ridiculous but it provided a catalyst and drama and...okay. lol

There were a number of editing issues --ex--At the start of a conversation saying it's already 4pm then moments later it's not even noon. Erms.

All in all, though. It was sweet. A touch of drama, a sweet family forming with Fiona, Justice and her daughter. Christmas spirit and sexy cowboys. Really can't go wrong with that.

Rushed plot, unrealistic characters

Wow, lets throw together a women from a family of con artists and thieves, an abusive ex, hiding on the run for 12 years, a genius daughter, spiritual strengths like reading auras and the future. Wrap all that up with some guy who is a rancher / cowboy, who falls in insta-love, was honourably discharged with a (repaired) knee injury after serving as a Marine in Afghanistan, who just found out that his long-ago ex was hiding his 12-yr old daughter from him. He (of course) takes her to his home when the abusive ex comes calling, she manages to rescue herself after being recaptured. Um... yeah. I finished this book after significant page flicking which is why the 2 stars. A horrible read.

Justice McBride fell in love with Fiona when he sees her dancing at the Christmas festival. He is captivated by her. Fiona and her 12 year old daughter Sophie travel, selling their jewellery that they design and create. They are both running away and hiding from her ex, who is now out of prison and looking for them.
Oh my, this story was so intense. I hate reading stories when there is a child kidnapped in the mix. I had to flick a few pages to get over that part. This is a great "bite your nails" story, but I did love it.
I just love reading this author. 5☆

Wow! What an amazing book that kept me on edge. I couldn’t stop reading. Loved how it only took one look, and Justice was hooked on Fiona. He also fell for her daughter Sophie. But Fiona has been hiding from her ex, can he keep her safe? What a wild ride this book was. Loved how he kept searching for his own ex, could he possibly be a Dad too? It’s such a heartwarming ending too. Really loved this book and I highly recommend this book. Looks like this is book 2 in a series, was easy to follow. I think I’ll go ahead and get the first book, can’t wait to read it.

LOVED BY YOU takes readers on an amazing journey, where the need to protect at all costs is not just the male thing, but also the one true purpose in life for a once tortured and abused woman.

Fiona appears nothing less than confident and self-assured on the surface, but hides an inner fear of the past and the repercussions of actions taken to protect herself and her child. While Justice is a warm-hearted, caring and fiercely loyal soul, who has emotional scars that are buried deep. But nothing can diminish Justice’s passion for life, so how can he convince the guy-shy and ever-cautious Fiona that their future is meant to be together when she fears putting down roots.

There’s nothing better than reading a story that makes you feel like coming home, and that was definitely the overwhelming feeling I had when I immersed myself in Loved by You. There’s nothing not to adore about the characters in this wonderful book, and the storyline grips you from the very first page. Justice is every woman’s dream and his ability to give of himself so wholeheartedly is breathtaking.

Ms McCray has penned a beautiful, heart-felt story that is destined to make her readers anxious with anticipation for what’s to come next. So even if you haven’t read anything by this talented author, I would strongly recommend that you read LOVED BY YOU.

Loved by You
Riding Tall, Book 2
By: Cheyenne McCray
Narrated by: David Quimby

Fiona and her daughter are passing through. Never settling down long, the two make jewelry to sell and stay for shot periods. But Prescott is different. Justice for one is here. This man sees Fiona dancing and knows she is the one, loves Sophie and is ready to do what it takes to make them his. Fiona's past is coming to haunt her though, which is why she is on the run. And when it does, danger is not only lurking for her. Everyone is in the path and if in the way, will become a victim. Will Fiona take the chance to stay with the first man to make her feel? Fiona is a strong, feisty woman, true to her hair color! I love her strength, and was completely frustrated when she was ready to pick up and leave. Justice is the perfect book boyfriend. He is an alpha protector, not only of Fiona, but of Sophie too! His strength is like a warm blanket! Plus we get glimpses of our friends in Prescott which always a plus for me. That sense of community with characters I have met in the past is so much fun! Another great addition to Cheyenne McCray's stories!

David Quimby is the Prescott characters! No one else can do them! He has become a staple for McCray's stories and I love his calming sound. Each voice, distinct and natural sounding, he lets us sit back, and enjoy the books.

(Justice & Fiona) RECEIVED THIS FREE ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW! : TRIGGERS: abuse, stalking, child selling, rape, kidnapping, assault. Slooooooow Burn. This story dragged on and on and I mean it didn't get exciting until the antagonist finally made a move. Let me just say, that was a HOURS into the book. So it starts at a town festival and Justice, former military, is there and entranced by a dancer on the stage. That dancer also happens to sell jewelry that she and her daughter made as well as tell fortunes. She has an Irish brogue and lives kind of like the gypsy life. Most of the beginning was just Justice trying to get a date. 🤦🏾‍♀️ No game whatsoever. Then once he gets one he starts moving faster than the cars at NASCAR. Fiona is running from her past. Her family gave her away to another clan and she ended up pregnant. Knows she's just trying to keep her daughter safe. But her past had caught up with her and he wants his family back. To me, the book was boring. The main characters had no real chemistry and the one sex scene was even plain vanilla. Then there's the random element of someone from Justice's past joining the story and I'm like "wait what now?" I can't even with this book..

The first time Justice McBride laid eyes on Fiona O'Shea he knew that she was the one. Along with her daughter, Sophie, they were on the move on the festival circuit, selling their jewelry, doing tarot readings and clogging. For twelve years they've traveled as gypsies, trying to stay one step ahead of her abusive ex. This is the first time she's dared to enjoy the company of a man, and her daughter seems to be naturally drawn to him. Sophie and Fiona have never been a part of family celebrations or something as simple as baking cookies together, and the McBride family has taken them in as if they were one of their own. Justice finds himself falling in love and he knows that he has to be careful to take things slow. When her abusive ex finds and threatens her, Justice needs to remain vigilant in order to protect the mother and daughter who have touched his heart. This is a touching, delightful story with just enough steam. There's a special warmth of a found family on the way to their HEA. I would have loved to see an epilogue to show how they are doing in the near future.
David Quimby does an admirable job with the narration. His uniquely accented voice is well-paced and brings each character to life.

Justice McBride is at a Christmas Festival before Thanksgiving and falls smitten for a clog dancer. She has an adorable, outspoken daughter. Fiona is very reserved and very protective over Sophie. Justice’s attention is very disarming. Justice isn’t giving up. Sophie would love to go out to lunch. She is a brilliant pre-teen. Fiona also reads tarot cards. Her reading that morning introduces a man but also danger.

A brutal blast from Fiona’s past comes roaring into Prescott. Justice is there to help and takes Fiona and Sophie out to his ranch. Fiona moves a lot for a reason in order to protect Sophie. Now the truth is out and Justice will do all he can to save these two who are important to him.

This is a quick read. You understand Fiona’s need to move a lot. Sophie is adorable. Part child part young lady. Justice admits he was with someone while home from the service and discovered she was pregnant and married someone else. For years Justice has searched for her, is the child his?

Love at first sight.
Justice McBride knew the moment he saw Fiona O’Shea that she was the woman that was going to change his life. Fiona and her daughter Sophie have been running the festival circuit for the last twelve years. Alway moving from place to place selling jewelry, clogging and doing readings. The cards have foretold of a man coming into her life but she never thought a man like Justice existed and he seems to good to be true. Justice knows Fiona is scared, has secrets and she’s used to taking care of herself and Sophie. He knows their meant to be together but just as things are coming together Fiona’s passed threatens to take it all away.
Good story and strong characters and I loved Sophie. With that being said I wish there was more story and that the last chapter was the epilogue because that’s how it read to me.

Love Will Find A Way

The book was great reading for an interesting story taking you through many steps of life, showing how and what one can and will do to survive to make a life of love and get out of a cruel upbringing, loved the story, I could have done without the sex scene, but it I suppose worked its way in the story, loved the ending, couldn't put it down when I realized it was going to take me into an interesting world, and a situation on how Fiona would get out of it and was happy to see the way she never faltered with fantastic love for her very intelligent daughter, a good read for an adult of any age or gender, but I think maybe women, enjoyed it right to the end.

It is love at first sight for justice McBride when he sees Fiona dancing. Fiona and her daughter Sophia are on the run, not staying anywhere for too long. They sell their handmade jewelry and glass decorations to put food on the table and to survive.
Justice was immediately captivated and felt the need to meet Fiona and make her and Sophia his family.
This was a suspenseful and thrilling novel, with bumps along the road and twists and turns to add to the story. These westerns are cleanly written with just a flavor of romance and love.
The narrator is one of my favorites, I take his work in the car and to camp!

Loved by you is Justices story. When Justice sees ‘Rose’ for the first time he just knows he has to get to know her. Fiona ‘Rose’ has a past that even her daughter doesn’t know of and now that past as comeback to haunt her.

The action is great there is a great plot build up and I really enjoyed reading the different characters. I wish there would have been a greater connection with Justice and his long lost daughter, that part felt like an after though and did not add to the store. Besides that, this was another great Cheyenne McCray cowboy story.

Oh be still my heart. Love at first sight for this sexy hot cowboy. When Justice saw the beautiful red haired woman dancing, he knew he had to meet her.
Theona is strong willed, stubborn, independent, mystical. She is on the run with her daughter Sophie, trying to hide from her abuser.
The mystery surrounding Theona could get them all killed. This story kept me on the edge of my seat.
David Quimby narration is very good. Bringing all the emotions into each character.
I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

Good, well written story of a woman travelling between country fairs, selling their handmade jewellery and clog dancing to make money; hiding from the man who bought her from her terrible family then raped and abused her. She’s trying to keep her daughter safe from the monster who fathered her. Justice McBride falls for her instantly and wants to do everything in his power to keep them both safe. What happens when the monster is released from prison and tracks them down?

Loved it

Justice was watching her dance at the festival and just knew she was his soul mate. Rose\Fiona was trying to raise her daughter Sophie while hiding. They made and sold jewelry on the road traveled. So when Justice approaches them she is leary. Fiona's family were Irish travelers and the sold her to a different clan when she started causing problems with their cons. Gilroy took possession of her and abused her & then killed someone so she ran pregnant. Now he is back.

I am sad to say that the villain of this story is the most well-written character. It had potential but fell short, plot was rushed and had to many holes. Especially the climactic fight, where they use self defense skills they supposedly learned but is never written into the story then she hears the door get kicked in...it is so poorly worded after that I think some of the pages are missing. Read Amazed By You and it was better.

Justice and Fiona

A loved story of two people who met unexpectedly, Justice what a wonderful, kind and loving man., who met the daughter he suspected but never knew for 12 years. Fiona , who was sold by her family and her daughter constantly on the run from an abusive ex-boyfriend.. How all these people came together to make this story come to a wonderful ending, after so such tragedy.

Justice McBride falls in love the first time he sees Fiona O’Shea dancing at the holiday festival. He wiggles his way into her life through her smart, and outspoken daughter Sophie. Sophie feels a connection to Justice and wants him for her Mom. The past has a way of catching up though and they first have to conquer the past in order to move on. A great romance with intrigue and a little steam!

This book was okay. There were some editing issues - a police officer whose name switched from Groves to Graves and back again; in one chapter, it mentions that it was 4 p.m. and he was going to take something out for dinner then boom, same day, it is noon and he's making lunch. I also thought Sophie seemed to act like a twelve year old some times but other times she seemed to be much younger.

I really liked this book. Justice was an awesome hero and Fiona was a great heroine. Her daughter Sophie has so much joy for life and you just want everything to work out for these three. Little bit of sex, lots of good old fashioned read. The book flows well and keeps you reading to see what happens next. Some scary moments with the ex and a strong woman and child who have each others backs.

Enjoyable

Strong characters, good writing and a mostly good storyline. Two men fathered children and are kept from them but are polar opposites. An obvious clue and storyboard was skipped with not following up on how a text was sent. The ending was a quick wrap to get to the HEA.

Ah, Justice McBride….honorable, smart, drool-worthy. Justice is enraptured by a performer at the annual Prescott festival and makes it known. Fiona is attracted to the hot cowboy but she’s on the run from her past. Justice isn’t deterred and it’s a good thing because Fiona and her daughter needs his help to stay safe. Lovely story.
