As a high school English teacher I made certain to add Edgar Allan Poe to my syllabus every semester. This hopefully qualifies me as an authority (at least minimally) regarding Poe's life and works. This anthology gets it right as regards the man's tales and his background. Every story has its own unique twist, so you're not simply getting a rehash of the man's legend but rather a complete reinterpretation of it. Evermore is worth a look for any Poe-phile.
