About the author

Jordyn Redwood is a pediatric triage nurse by night, suspense author by day. Her love of all things medical led to the creation of Redwood's Medical Edge-- a blog devoted to helping contemporary and historical novelists write medically accurate fiction.

Jordyn is known for her edgy medical thrillers. Proof, Poison and Peril earned several critical reviews and Proof and Poison were each nominated for several awards.

Malicious Intent by Jordyn Redwood
Great suspenseful novella. Jordyn brings her expertise as a medical professional to her thrilling writing. This novella chronicles the first case as partners of Detectives Brett Sawyer and Nathan Long.
Heroine Lexie Sloan is a novelist of thrillers but when murders happen that are taken from the pages of her best sellers, the detectives try to figure out if she is the victim or the culprit.
With every turn of the page there is suspense and intrigue. It really keeps you guessing. Is there one perpetrator or is this a collaboration? To make it more interesting, there is a history between Brett and Lexie. Can Brett be objective and do his job as a detective? Does Lexie’s strained relationship with her husband Dr. Mark Sloan and their daughter Grace have anything to do with the body count rising?
Very well written and complete, although it is a novella. It is pretty believable.
For those who enjoy thrillers and Medical Drama, this one fits the bill. Five stars!

I liked the book very much. It is full of suspense. Not easy to figure out what is happening next as people around the main character, Lexie are found dead. I really enjoyed the interchange between two characters in the book, the new two man team investigating the case. Its a good novella. This book is apart of the set The Kill Zone: Ten Deadly Thrillers. If you like suspense I think you will like Malicious Intent

Wow! What a great start to a series! Hard to tell it’s a Christian book because there’s not really specific mention of God, unlike most of these genres. Very suspenseful, excellent pacing. Not very romantic but the story was absolutely captivating. Just on the border for me of being too creepy. Not sure if I will read the rest of the series yet. I’ll probably give them a go but not sure if they will creep me out too much. Really well written.

Very suspenseful, very imaginative short story.

If Ms. Redwood writes Christian fiction I will definitely look into her full-length books.

Lexie Sloan, a murder/mystery author, is being stalked and tormented by someone who has killed before… Many of the scenes parallel her novels. It’s a pretty good storyline. RECOMMENDED.
