Yet another fantastic novel.....I just have one teeny tiny question. How the Heck and I going to survive until may 8th waiting for The Girl Who Dared to Fight? Thinking suspended animation?
I should’ve known the penultimate book would be crazy. Seriously insane events that have me flying through the words because I’m so anxious and panicky I can’t take the time to absorb everything since I have such a need to know what’s going to happen.
Our love triangle is coming to a peak.
We have a visit from our characters in the Gender series (I mean a transmission from Melissa Croft - come on, I’m actually crying). I was all worked up and dying over the fact that Liana made mention to Thomas Croft being “sexy as sin” because I knew that he must resemble Viggo and Melissa’s description was so beautiful I was melting thinking of how much time I spent in violets story and having the pleasure of “meeting” her two children. I want more of that but don’t know if my heart can handle more of that tbh.
Aaaaaand there’s a crazy cliffhanger as always. I’m sad it’s almost over but also glad because this story has consumed my life and I need a break lol
Liana is working to find the people who are trying to bring down the tower, the stolen AI fragments that kept the tower running, and the evidence to prove the truth.
Includes blood, gore, grief, death, explicit pre-marital kissing.
Awesome read lots of action and the twists in the storyline are fabulous can't believe that after everything still underestimated someone can't wait to read the final book
Boom! How is it that Bella Forrest can write such compelling stories? I mean, all the series of hers that I have read so far have all been 7 books long, and they tie into each other so well it blows my mind. But the cliff hangers! At the end of each and every book! It's driving me crazy! I don't know if I can wait another whole month before I can finish the finale...the way this one was left...after things were finally turning the corner for the better! Things were going so good! Falling into place! And then...then....aw, no spoilers. If you like world building and high action packed books with a hint of romance, Id say, hey you! read this book!
THE ENDINGGGGGGG woooooooooah WOOOOOOOOOAH Things finally go DOWN in this book! Also Liana and Leo/Grey….um this is odd This situation is weird Im having a hard time wrapping my head around this.. BUT THE END GOOOOORL MUST READ NEXT BOOK
The best book of the serie so far, except for the leo-grey sharing a body. Grey was away almost the entire serie and I was disapointed by this weird come back and love story with the AI.

I never could have imagined all the twists and turns told. The read left in complete shock and wait for it....the ending will have you screaming for more !
That was one hell of a cliffhanger! This is the best book of this series and I can’t wait for the final installment to see where the author is going to take us!
The cons: As usual, there is a lot that occurs in this book. I have to say, though each book always feels a bit TOO jam-packed - often with extraneous information - this one wasn’t quite as bogged down or boring as some of its predecessors. However, I do feel that drawing these out to 7 books is a bit much. They could have been condensed into a much shorter, more succinct, more satisfying series.
Leaving us with yet another cliffhanger is actually working against this series. When every single book ends this way, it just becomes irritating and I may have actually rolled my eyes. I also just...don’t care. You can’t pull something out in the last 2-3 sentences that are supposed to be shocking and then end the book there. Or, maybe it’s just WHAT was chosen. Or, possibly, it’s simply that I’m over this series and am only reading it to tie up loose ends.
As always, too much interior monologue. Liana over-analyzes everything and what should take a paragraph takes 3-4 paragraphs. It’s annoying.
The pros: There weren’t AS MANY aforementioned monologues (esp. compared with the book after Liana’s mother dies). And they were scattered throughout the book versus all occurring at the very beginning as the author is want to do.
I enjoyed seeing the return of ‘visitors’ (for lack of a spoiler) and how that played out. And it will be interesting to see how it all ties together in the end. I suspect it will be wrapped up a bit too quickly and neatly, and probably leave many of us dissatisfied. But I’m still glad it will be there.
I thought the return of Grey was interesting. I can’t say whether or not I’m pleased with it yet, but at least the path I initially thought the author was going down WASN’T where she went. I was getting a bit angry over it, actually. (Again, I won’t say anything so there aren’t any spoilers.) And, as always, I truly enjoy the interactions between Liana and Leo and Liana and Grey. I truly think they’re my favorite part of each book and unfortunately, are the least occurring.
Summary: If you’ve read this far into the series, keep going. Just know you’re going to get more of the same and we are basically just plodding through waiting for the conclusion.
Talk about ANOTHER great cliffhanger! I won't reveal anything, but it's just GREAT!!!!!!!!! First, I owe an apology to Ms Forrest. I gave her a hard time concerning the lengthy detail she put into Baldy and Plain Face in book 5. I forgot the general rule that each scene usually does have a purpose. So, The whole Grey/Leo/Lily thing is a bit over the top for me. Grey is the most evolved male I have ever been introduced to. It's hard to believe this relationship would actually be sustainable. I guess if Lily ever has children, she no longer has to explain, Daddy use to live inside a computer. I guess it's progress. I wondered for some time how this could possibly get sorted. Just WOW !!! This installment felt like our characters accomplished more than previous books in series. Suspense was great because we finally got answers. Yay! I highly recommend this series to YA and older. There are no sex scenes or gratuitous graphic violence. Bella Forrest delivers great drama, action, mystery, suspense, and strong characters. Definitely some girl power going on. I feel this series shows growth and improved pacing for the characters compared to Gender Series, which I really enjoyed. That series was very original, but it made me dizzy from so much action. The characters never slept, healed, or took a 10 minute break without a life threatening emergency situation again and again. The pacing was a bit unrealistic. I realize these stories are fiction, but I still think some of the story should feel a bit authentic to the reader. I am very happy to have given this series a chance. I really like the story. If you are new to her works, Just beware Bella Forrest always has a lot to say or opts for repeating things. I have never waited for a book to be released to finish a series. I am an avid reader, and a lot could happen between now and May. I hope I do come back for #7.
This was my 500th book on Amazon Goodreads, but this number doesn't reflect any paperbacks or hardcover books read in the same time frame.
There were too many plot holes created with Alex's presence and decision. The Leo/Grey body sharing was just weird and sloppily done. Also all of the arguing in the first 20% was so hard to get through. The worst in the series for me.
This series just keeps surprising me at every turn! I have to admit there were moments where I could feel my heart pounding, and I have to read the next book! The fact we meet some characters that are RELATED to our Gender Games characters is just mind blowing! I won't reveal who they are but you'll be satisfied to a point. I was a bit overwhelmed but happy! BUT I was not happy about the damn cliffhanger, I mean come on its just lucky I have kindle unlimited otherwise I would be screaming. However, I am off to read the FINAL book... I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Sad but excited I want to find out how it ends.
Omg! Just when we think Champion Liana and her friends are about to uncover the biggest conspiracy of the Tower since its inception, the literal sh@@ hits the fan! I don’t wanna wait!! I feel like throwing a two year old temper tantrum, on the floor, kicking feet, flailing arms, and wails of the injustice of it all!!!
But seriously, this has been the best book so far in the series!!! I cannot wait to read the next one!!! Like literally, I cannot wait!!!
Oh My Gosh, I just wrote a long review of this book that went *poof* so the cliff notes are: Lianna is like the Bella Swan of the Dystopian YA genre and I could have done without 2/3's of this book. I kept putting it down... so boring & The big ending, no surprise. I have come this far so I will take one last trip to the tower.
As usual, more than acliffahanger, a black screen in the middle of a sentence more likely!
All in all the best thing in this one is the evolution of the relationship between Liana, Grey and Leo, pretty curious about it will play out in the end.
There's a lot more obviously, but it's all spoiler if I talk about that XD
I was OK with the Leo/Grey thing at first. With Grey waking up, though... No. It is a weird sort of reverse harem. It was distracting from the plot. I don't like it and hope there is a better solution. I really like Leo. Grey is great, but LOVE Leo!
i was wondering when HE was going to respond!!!... THat ending... So i accidently started reading in the middle of the last book when i was still on book 5 and totally messed myself up so i already knew who fathered those many many undocs but still i am looking forward to that last book!
I thought I was reading the last book of the series! I was so disappointed when I realized it wasn’t the last book! I have to read the final book but I’m really frustrated this wasn’t the end.
I love this series. I only just found out that this is tied to the Gender Games! I guess if I would have read the authors notes sooner I would have known so it was a surprise when I learned it in the story. This is a must read series.
Absolutely loved this addition to the series! Would have loved to hear more from th characters in Patrus again.. but the twist at the end... I was not expecting that at all! Great book!
this one was a little rough... i'm invested in the series so i want to see how it end, but it feels like it's taking a painfully long and boring journey to get there. one left!
When I started this book I thought it was the last in this series. Nope there’s another. Sooo much happens in this 6th book. It begins with a lot of action. A crazy plan Liana and her team manage to pull off. 200 pages are a single 24 hour period. They get a visit from ‘aliens’ in need of their advanced medical equipment. It finally proves that there are more populations outside the tower. And we learn that the radiation surrounding the tower which makes the environment unlivable is coming directly from the tower. We learn the undocs are one large family. One man kidnaps and forces women to have his babies and they’re brought up to fight against Scipio and to try and bring down the tower. These legacies have people spread into all the departments. Liana and her team find everyone and arrest them all in a large coordinated effort. In the meantime there’s this weird love triangle going on between Liana, Grey, and the AI Leo who is inside Grey. Grey is recovering his memories and is now awake and sharing his mind with Leo. They can take turns controlling his body and they both care about Liana. She seems to want to be with them both. Honestly it’s weird and uncomfortable. Liana’s brother gets involved in the mess they’re always dealing with and murders someone and his number begins to drop. So he escapes with the visitors and is going to request asylum for others wanting to leave the tower. The book ends with many arrests made and Liana accusing 2 council members of being involved in trying to destroy Scipio. But plot twist!! The old man Sage isn’t who we thought he was. How is he even still alive? And he has a gun and starts killing other council members and locks down the council room.

Okay so I am giving this 4 stars and it lost a star for a very very specific reason.
I love all these series that Forrest has written. However, at some points in this book I felt my self screaming no!! For example, I hate the idea of Lianna sharing both leo and gray. Like I hate that! I want her to just be with Gray and I feel that his character has completely changed from what it was. Also, it felt rather random and unattached with the idea of the people who live outside of the tower. It was gently touched on, and then suddenly alex was forgotten? The final issue I had was that every new chapter, when a character is reintroduced, we learn everything about them again and it’s really repetitive.
But, I loved so many things about this book and can’t wait to finish it. Plus the cliff hanger at the end was really good and unexpected. I also am very addicted to all the characters apart from Leo who I want to just get killed off please! Here is hoping for book 7.

Book 7 is on my Phone waiting to be read, but I feel at a stand still for two reasons: 1. I don’t want to influence my Book 6 review with Book 7 knowledge and 2. I just don’t have the fire for the series as much as I did.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...#
Our heroine, Liana, is forced to help run the Knights as Champion while she tries to figure out who killed her mother and the legacy group trying to ruin the tower by destroying Scipio. Overall, we still get lots of tension and twists that are fun to work through with Liana. But… (come one, we all knew it was coming)… there are a few things that I don’t love…
The Grey/Leo thing has reached a weird head. I can’t go into too many details, and honestly, maybe I secretly love this part the most? It may be worth reading the series just to live through this thread of the story. It’s unique. I’ll leave it there.
But if you love Divergence Series, this series is the one for you.
I'm so happy that we finally got some more of the story from when Violet & Viggo from The Gender Games came to The Tower!
OK, I'm seriously dying inside right now over that CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!! I think out of all the books in the series, this one has been my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! Mostly because of the connection to The Gender Game Series finally coming about.... (Don't worry, I won't leave any spoilers.) I thought we were finally getting the answers to so many of the questions we have had since the whole Legacy Groups scenario came about, so I was thrown for a loop when at the very end I was left hanging with a huge question about the Legacy Groups! I completely recommend this book/series. I love every book I've read by Bella Forrest.
