So this is a little different usually I read these in volumes, larger bind ups of issues, however, I am at a point in the series where the next volume will not be out of a little bit and I really wanted to keep reading. So I decided to take the plunge and keep reading the individual issues. The last volume left a lot of things open and I really did not want to wait, Hoopla has all the individual volumes available through my library so I am totally going to read all that is currently out there. Then wait impatiently for the next ones.
SPOILERS AHEAD
In this issue, we mainly see Daisy who is headed home for the summer after breaking up with her first girlfriend. This girlfriend happened to call her home and spill the beans to her Granny that she was dating a girl. Now Daisy is unaware of what she is coming home to and when she arrives home Granny is hostile and gives her the cold shoulder. After two weeks they have it out and Daisy ends up deciding to leave and go back to university to stay with her friends and figure out living arrangements for the upcoming year as well as just to give Granny time and space. Daisy ends up looking at lots of places and one day when she arrives back at her friend's place for the night her Granny is waiting for her.
I absolutely love this graphic novel series. Daisy is adorable and I am so glad I got to read more of her story arc. I love how she is working through everything and how things are turning out for her. I am excited to see where the next issues lead for Daisy. I gave this issue five stars on Goodreads.
I always enjoy following Daisy’s perspective throughout the series and issue 37 was no disappointment. Daisy is fresh out of her failed relationship with Ingrid and is navigating ‘what now’ and prepping for the next school year. She’s feeling like life is great but per usual..I know better than to think that. Especially when this issue ends with a ‘To Be Continued..’
Still am loving the fact that Daisy’s been our main focus, but I’m sure it’ll rotate to our other main characters soon.
Daisy and her grandmother dealing with the fallout from the last issue was painful to read while still feeling very realistic. But at least they saw eye-to-eye in the end... And was it just me or was the lady in the Accomodations Office flirting? Hmmmmm.
Seeing them living their lives between terms has been fun, especially the quick peeks at Esther back in Tackleford. I suppose it’s too much to ask that we had another cameo by our Bad Machinery cast! Maid Esther’s ninja skills made up for it though.
Keeps on going strong!

Picking up right after the last issue, I was relieved to know that Daisy was in good hands with her friends and family again. Now I need to know if the library has the latest issues.
Another great issue from Giant Days. After the way volume 9 ended I’m sure we were all anxious to see how things were going to pan out, so thankfully this issue didn’t waste any time getting to the point and showing us what happened. I’m so so happy that this plot didn’t end up spiraling out like I feared it would. You never know with that sort of subject, so I was worried for our darling Daisy. I know it wasn’t an ideal situation though, so I’m glad Daisy came through it okay. I’ve been really happy that Daisy has been the main focus for the past few issues, though I’ll admit to missing the rest of the girls. Thankfully we do get to see Suzie a bit more this issue, so likely we’re swinging around to a plot revolving around her next. That should be fun! Especially since we still haven’t see how her big move-in with McGraw went.
YES YES YES YES YES! I'm so happy for Daisy! If this year has taught me anything myself it's to never give up your own security for love. Always, always, ALWAYS have a back up plan! An easy escape route if the situation calls for it. No more horrible, narsarcistic relationship! No more windowless, non-sound-blocking, wooden box! No more mysterious smells! I can't wait to see how Daisy mentors the new first years. I can't think of another charecter more suited to the task. I'm happy she got out and away from the crazy Ingrid before it did her any more harm. Hazzah for Granny and Daisy's relationship repair and Hazzah for all that's to come! Too, TOO freaking excited! Another perfect issue! I love the Giant Days team <3
I love Daisy so much, and this issue was more of everything I love about her! I also liked seeing a glimpse of what Susan and Ester are up to over the summer. The creative team managed to capture their characters fully in the few panels that featured them. I also liked getting the chance to know Granny and Daisy's home life a little better.
