I have received advance copies of the three books which comprise this boxed set.
I found the first two books, set in England and Kenya to be rather disappointing, but I rather enjoyed the third one, set in Hawaii. I suspect that this may be because I am familiar with England and Kenya, but not Hawaii, and my frustration is with unbelievable situations and factual errors particularly those relating to cultural issues, obviously as I am not as familiar with Hawaiian culture I am not as aware of errors of this type.
Having said that, on the positive side, I rather like the character of Pauline and Kendell, but I have to admit that character development is fairly basic in these books, but again, to me improved in the 3rd book.
So If you can suspend disbelief to a very high degree, then these are quite fun cosy mysteries, but for me, a long way off being the best series around, and indeed quite a way off the author's best work.

While the books are well plotted--I didn't guess the killer(s) until near the end--I was disturbed and distracted by the very poor editing. All three stories are full of typos and occasional misspellings, most of which would have been caught by a couple of proofing reads. Also, there were some informational errors that would have been caught by a little minor research, such as a one-hour helicopter tour from Oahu taking the riders over an active volcano--I'm not sure whether that's possible--and the main character in "To Kill a Mockingbird" having the first name of "Abacus"--it's "Atticus." The books were still fairly readable and I might read more of this author's works, but putting out a sloppy book isn't a good idea. Major publishers and agents wouldn't touch a book submitted with these errors.

These stories are fun to read, but should be taken with a grain of salt. An elderly lady goes on a world tour, decides to take an over worked airline attendant as her companion. Together they solve murders every where they go. The characters, especially the elderly lady, Pauline is a hoot. Kendell, in a bit wishy washy for me when it comes to her boyfriend. All in all a fun read. After all we can all one day dream of taking a world tour like Pauline and her little dog Dot. Can't forget about Dot!

What a delightful set of books. Kendall and Pauline are close friends and traveling to search for adventure. Wherever they go, adventure is with them. Not the type they’re looking for, definitely not murder. Love these books.

What fun
So great to get the first three books together. Not only is there a fun and feisty older woman, a airline attendant, her friends, acute pup named Dot, you get murder and wonderful vacation sites.

Enjoyable cozy books! The characters are really fun with an older woman in charge. She gets a airline stewardess to travel with her and they have unusual happenings in each country they travel to! I really enjoyed the craziness and the suspense in finding the murderer in each country!!

Fun read.
Take one flight attendant, with to much vacation time , team her up with a independently wealthy retired flight attendant on a world tour, add in a friend and a murder at each destination. Wow such a great read in these books.

I've read all the books in this series. They are just plain fun. If you haven't started to read these books this is the way to buy them.
