Hungry for Her Wolves #1

Hungry for Her Wolves

Rate this book
She's desperate to sate her hunger. They're determined to possess her. Is she willing to give up her freedom for a taste of passion?

Amara was content to live as a lone wolf, the only one of her kind—or so she’d thought. Her world was flipped on its head when a strange man with a familiar scent showed up at her work, demanding a private meeting.

Desperate to find the mate Luc had scented from four hundred miles away, he was shocked to find her living as a lone wolf. Amaroki women were to be cherished and protected. What had happened to her family? More importantly, how was he going to convince her to return to the reservation with him? And how would his possessive brothers react when they found him with Amara?

Amara couldn’t deny her attraction to the wolf-shifter named Luc, but she wasn’t about to give up her career to bond with him and his three brothers, no matter how hot and bothered he made her. When his brothers arrived—tall, tanned, and virile—she could no longer deny her savage hunger. But how could she satisfy her desire and still maintain her independence with four overbearing wolves around? And how would she bond and adapt to their lifestyle when she couldn’t shake her dark memories? More importantly, how would they react when they learned of her past? Would they reject her, or would they risk their lives to seek vengeance on those who’ve dishonored her?

DNF at 12%. The blurb makes it sound like she's a strong independent woman but within a few minutes of meeting one of her mates she tells him all about her past except that she was (possibly, it kind of just skimmed over this) raped because she felt he "wouldn't respond well" to that information-no shit. After meeting the rest of the brothers and their father she passes out and they proceed to kidnap her. She wakes up and starts crying because she won't ever be able to get back to her old life. She is an absolute damsel in distress despite the fact that apparently she has been taking care of herself for years.

Not to mention that it feels like every other sentence she is saying how wet she is. I'm okay with lust-at-first-sight if there is more to the story, but so much of it in the beginning has focused on how horny she is that I got bored.

If it was advertised as a damsel in distress kind of book I would have completely avoided it, but the blurb made it sound like she was going to be a strong character- and hey maybe as the story unfolds she gains strength- but she annoyed me too much in the beginning to care to find out. I feel like this story had so much potential but her woe-is-me, victim-playing attitude (I realize that was redundant but this whole story felt redundant so I am justified in the description) tired me out. I'm sorry, I hate leaving reviews like this but just wanted to warn other readers who are like me.

DNF @ 44%

Man I tried. The feminist in me is screaming right now. I knew that this book was going to be meh when, on all of page 3, the narrator explained that the MC was immediately and inexplicably moved to jump a dude's bones. Page 3, ya'll. Now to be clear, I don't like it when an author drags it out ad nauseum, but come on... When little miss #ICanDoItMyself turns into a doormat in the space of 2.5 seconds... I'm done. I was actually starting to like the boys and the premise was interesting, but a sniveling MC who lets other people dictate to her without so much as a rebuttal? And you've known them less than 24 hours? GTFOH. Nope. I'm done.

"“Relax, bros.” Luc chuckled. “I smelled her virginity.” Hakon, Drasko, and Rone heaved simultaneous groans of relief."

WTF?????

Going against the FMC's No/Stop? Check! (Edit: Not rape, talking about people making choices for her against her wishes. She has zero say.)
Stockholm syndrome? Check!
Virginity smelling? Check!

With the explosion of the reverse harem genre, there has been plenty of hits and it’s changed my reading tastes. As a result it has allowed me to discover West and her witting through my love of this genre . It’s been a treat reading this book. I don’t know if I would have stumble on her writing otherwise given my tastes lately. Obviously West join the ranks of instant favourites I have discovered this year with Hungry for Her Wolves
This is the first in her reverse harem series and explores one of my favourite shifters, werewolves. West weaves a magical tale, that reveals a mystical world that she has created. A world that our heroine, thinks she should run away from.
As who wouldn’t blame her, a world where werewolves live by their own laws and goddess and gods. It’s all foreign to her and with her past it’s hard to believe everything that has been handed to on a silver plate. However the bond we know between fated mates is oh too hard to ignore. Especially when there are four sexy werewolves involved. The Thunderfoot men sure know how to make an entrance and the moment that Amara meets them sets the tone for this novel. I liked how each pack was a family in this scenario and that the men have defined roles. It’s makes for distinct personalities which helps with the storyline.
It’s hot and steamy everything reverse harem is known for but West ‘s take on the genre. She gives an intriguing story that has been brewing for some time. West doesn’t offer easy time to the characters. There is plenty of action and adventure with this story. Readers are definitely going to get plenty of moments. As there is one thing I have learnt about werewolves, when alphas around they like to throw a little testosterone around and there was plenty of that. Given what was thrown in this story, I thought I had all things figured out West likes to give certain things straight up and it’s hard to imagine otherwise, as some ways we all want that. However even I was surprised by how things ended and honestly hope that this is going to be a long series given the possibilities running through my head right now.
Whilst I was left satisfied, West left plenty of ammunition for the second book and it’s going to be very interesting to see where she takes us after this great opening book.

“I’m not having all those kids”

Don’t worry! You’re an independent woman, if you don’t want kids you don’t have to have them. Right…?

Nope.

Apparently, Amara is not so much an independent woman as setback for gender equality. Every few pages I would growl at how frustrated these characters made me, but I kept reading because of some pointless hope that somebody would see sense.

Amara works at a vets and dreams of being a pet photographer. Okay, sure. Even though she can tell when an animal is ill and what’s wrong with them just by touch. I wish that could have been explored more. Anyway, in comes her mates who drag her away- is she a person or a piece of property? (This happens early on I don’t want to spoil it if you do want to give it a go.)

Amara doesn’t stick to her principles, she’s portrayed as a strong independent woman, but she mainly cries and gives into everything. I can understand that Amara is being brought into another culture with different ideals but that doesn’t mean that she has to give in, and it doesn’t mean that her ‘supposed’ mates have to manipulate her, downplaying her choices and beliefs. I want her to grow a backbone and stand up for her beliefs but even when she vaguely protests, she’s not respected. Amara wants to work and raise kids (not that she even originally wanted kids) but they all treat her as if that’s impossible and everyone in this book has a really twisted idea of what virginity means. Sex is sex- just because its anal and doesn’t break a hymen doesn’t change that fact.

There are so many things that drive me crazy about this book, I honestly wouldn’t have time to write it all down. I hate giving bad reviews and often just because I don’t like something it doesn’t mean someone else wont but… I struggled with this book. I really struggled.

1.5-2 stars. Have you ever wanted to recommend a book to a friend not because it stole your breath with its beauty, broke your heart, or saved your soul.. but because it was so bad you think maybe you just read it wrong? Maybe you were in a mood? You just need a friend to cosign on how bad the book was to make you feel justified in your feelings? Yea me too...... This is that book for me folks. So yea friends.. ya'll give this a shot and tell me if maybe I just was in the wrong ballpark and was nowhere near catching what this author was throwing lol.

I rarely give 1 star ratings because I try really hard to find things I did like in the story... I barely finished this book. I picked it up off Audible and I just want to say I don't think the narration had anything to do with the fact that I could barely make it through this.. I don't necessarily consider myself uber feminist by any means, but I do love a strong FMC that doesn't take crap from anyone.. Even loving those, I completely understand that not every character is a strong character, the beauty of some characters is their weakness, their vulnerability. But this FMC.. was a straight pushover.. and these dudes.. this was not Alpha male at its finest.. In fact it made me uncomfortable.. like almost insulted at their attitude toward women and the fact that it was stated, multiple times, that their expectations of her was somewhere along the lines of barefoot and pregnant.. Usually I can shake that stuff off I mean I have a love of historical romance and females in those rarely got fair treatment historically speaking. For some reason this rolled all over me wrong.. It was bad. I stuck with it because I thought maybe the FMC was just thinking and taking things wrong causing me to do the same and really the females of their kind were more worshiped but nope.. It was borderline disrespectfully domineering.. Those of us who love a good Alpha shifter novel know there is a difference between respectful domineering, bully romance, and just downright cringe worthy Alpha behavior. This book, unfortunately for me, fell in that last category. The funny thing is had the FMC been the strong willed, independent, take no crap type this might have totally shifted how I saw this story, but because she was a complete pushover she constantly got steamrolled and I instead of being excited about her story all I felt for her at the end was pity. And as if that wasn't enough, the girl had a straight gutter mind and she never clawed her way out..

It was just bad for me.. I'm definitely done with this. I want to say that the story made up for it.. and it does have a unique premise, but the character dynamics here just really ruined it for me.

Now that’s was one hot (batteries required) type of hot read.

Amara a lone wolf, or so she thought... well until destiny or in this case the ancients step in to change that...

Luc Thunderfoot has done it he found their mate, yep THEIR MATE, the challenge is for all four brothers Hakon, Drasko, Luc and Rone, each with their own unique personalities, strengths and flaws have to step up and claim Amara as their own!
Things don’t go as planned but any good relationships has it’s ups and downs.. pun intended..

definitely not going into anymore details this really is a fast hot steamy book that you must grab and read for yourself.

I have read books by this author before and loved them so when I heard she was venturing into the PNR Reverse Herem genre I knew I had to one click, so glad I did the author hasn’t disappointed, another wonderfully written well detailed and thrilling read.. oh and the sex!! Tara West sure can write some hot and horny sex scenes.. (Fans face) be prepared for a cold shower or two! And a good supply of batteries.. you can never have to much sex in these type of books.

I can’t get past the way this group of five went from no sexual experience whatsoever straight into an anal-gang bang. I’m sorry, are they virgin porn stars?

The blurb made it sound like we would get a strong independent fmc, but it was more of a damsel in distress that repeatedly needed saving, unfortunately. She was CONSTANTLY ”gushing” in her panties, and I am surprised she doesn’t have a yeast infection yet.

Also, it's a minor pet peeve, but the fmc can diagnose issues in animals, and despite her working in a veterinary office and then living in rural farmlands, we only ever see her do it with dogs?! It’s just a bizarre choice by the author.

All that, plus the dialogue is giving written by a boomer. I can’t put my finger on it, but it felt dated.

An absolutely Furtastic Shifter Read!

Tara West is an Absolutely Wonderful Writer, But this is a new one to read from her!
Her first step into Shifter Heaven and OMG, she does it with a resounding Hurrah!!
I was totally immersed in this read, it was fantastic. The characters all had good and bad points about them, but I loved how each and every brother in each of these matches all had similar traits.
Alpha one Protector and Alpha two Protector, along with the Best Beta Tracker and the adorable Gamma.
Each and everyone had there own qualities and intricacies that made them who they were.
You could see right away who was who in each relationship.
I really loved the Alpha Two, Protector. He was the harshest in the group, but in my opinion the one who needed the most reassuring and love next to the Gamma.
These Wolves/Men are exactly what I would dream of having if I were lucky enough to have a such mates!
I enjoyed how Amara came to grips with her heritage, and the love her family actually has for her. I could see the difficulty she has with them, based on what she grew up with.
The fact that she had to adjusted what she knew about family, to the new ideal is amazing.
Great read, incredible characters and an absolutely HOT Storyline, can’t wait to see what happens next!

Trite and poorly written

It ticks off all of the boxes for annoying writing.... female protagonist who was once independent but now allowing herself to be dictated to. Telling the backstory in an info dump rather than showing, a complete lack of world building, two dimensional characters and insta-love rather than real relationships make a book I was hard pressed to finish. I don't feel the need to read anything else by this author.

This book was so annoying. I am determined to pick a book and get thru it. Even if it kills me. All this girl did was cry, and cry and feel so bad and so hurt about everything. Sorry, but if you have the girl cry and quote it a million times!! I literally put this book down over 10 times. Not for me.

The book starts out with Amara working as a vet tech until shifters show up, claim she’s their mate, she doesn’t want to go so they scare her until she faints and then they just kidnap her. Which she’s only upset about for a split second in the car. She’s cooperating and trying to learn about shifters culture but any time she isn’t comfortable with something they just ignore her. This is a theme throughout the book, Amara has no real choice in anything and no real agency at all. At one point she is going to hang out with her mates but says she’s afraid of one of her mates, the other mates tell her it’s fine, he doesn’t have to come, it’s entirely her choice. Then the guy she’s afraid of drags her off alone to confront her about it, the other mates just let him and fool around with her to change her mind. So she didn’t actually have a choice. Even during some of the sex scenes she asks them to slow down or says something hurts they either ignore her or tell her to open up and take it.

The book has a weird obsession with virginity. The shifters culture and entire mate bonds are dependent on virginity, even the main plot of the book is about the female leads virginity. The importance of her virginity, waiting until marriage or just virginity in general are brought up in almost every chapter. Apparently some shifters can scent virginity? How? Fuck if I know.

“If the Ancients had a hand in it,” Rone said and rattled Hakon’s seat, “why would they let humans raise her?” Hakon shook his head. “I’m not sure.” “Do you think she’s a virgin?” Rone asked. “I don’t know.” Hakon grimaced. “And I don’t want to think about it.” If she wasn’t, they’d have to improvise during the wedding ritual, which would be awkward, and pointless, too. He wasn’t even sure if the bonding would work if a human had taken her virginity. He’d had enough encounters with humans to know that sex in their world was oftentimes done with random strangers as a means of release. He prayed to the Ancients that Amara was untouched, because the thought of another man touching her made his blood boil. “I’ll kill any humans who touched her,” Drasko seethed.  “Bro,” Hakon spoke through gritted teeth, “you need to control your temper.” “Don’t tell me to control my temper.” Drasko clenched his hair by the roots, looking ready to rip it out of his head. “This is fucked up.” The tension in the cab was getting so thick, Hakon could feel the weight of it pressing down on his chest. “Relax, bros.” Luc chuckled. “I smelled her virginity.” Hakon, Drasko, and Rone heaved simultaneous groans of relief. Hakon looked at Luc in the rearview, forcing a smile. “Thank you, brother. I will never doubt your nose again. I didn’t know you could pick up a scent that far.”

After they kidnap her and take her home, she gets out of the car and walked into their house, literally the first meeting with one of their fathers He questions her about her virginity.

“Have you been living among humans all this time, child?” “Um, yeah.” Unnerved by his penetrating glare, she broke eye contact, choosing to look down at her untied shoe lace. “I didn’t know there were others like me.” “Have you been living like them?” She looked up as he assessed her with raised brows. “I-I don’t understand,” she stammered. His lips pinched as if he’d sucked on a sour lemon. “I think you do,” he said accusingly. “What have you been doing with the humans while living in their company?” A nagging in her subconscious told her he wanted to know if she’d been sleeping with humans. How rude! As if it was any of his business.  “Skoll,” Tor interrupted, placing a hand on his brother’s back, “now’s not the time. This is between Amara and our sons.” Skoll turned a dark look on his brother. “We need to know if we must alter the ceremony or if the bonding will work at all.”

Apparently to be mated you have to do a ceremony where she has to drink their blood and they each have to take her virginity, specifically make her bleed. This made me so mad. This whole idea of a first time having to be painful and bloody is misinformation and bad public health and education. There’s no reason why a first time has to hurt or tear as long as you take proper time and care. A lot of women don’t even have hymans in the first place or tear them when dancing, running, horseback riding, falling, any number of things. Can we stop spreading misinformation on the women’s body?? If they can just pick their fingers for the blood why can’t she do the same thing?

After she gets to their house they have a whole discussion about how they couldn’t take her virginity but they needed to fool around with her so no other man could take her while she went to visit her family, a family she only needs to visit so she can bond with them, learn their culture and specifically so she knows how to have sex before she’s married.
Not joking.

Literally the first night she is at their house after being taken she sleeps and their literal goddess admonishes her for fighting them and not accepting this excellent match the goddess made for her. She hasn’t even been fighting them! She’s there! She’s trying to learn! It’s been one day! She was kidnapped and didn’t even try to escape! She’s just like well I didn’t even know other shifters exist but this is my life now but sure let’s be mean to her.

Women are prone to fainting. Apparently.

They don’t listen to what she wants about anything. Ever. It never gets better.

The literal plot of the story/climax of the story is, her mates want to take her virginity so they can stay with her forever but oh man these other guys want to kidnap her and take her virginity so they can have a mate instead.
With this rape attempt as well as two others in her past all they really seem to care about is whether or not she’s still a Virgin. After she was kidnapped they literally take her right there so that the bad dudes can’t take her. They leave a big old blood stain on a tarp for the bad guys to find to know she’s safe now. Cool. Cool.

There were a LOT of anatomy issues when it came to sex. If you haven’t had sex just literally do some research. Also, no prep before anal or proper care, and again, not listening to her when it hurts.
Frustrating.
Weird obsession with parts “expanding like a balloon.” Either her or them or both in every single sex scene.

Also also, weird like in breeding going on? So each “pack” consists of one female and 3-4 males. How are the males matched up you might be asking? Well they are brothers. So she will then birth each of them a son who will be a new mating pack and a daughter who will go out and find her own mating pack. All the packs are in groups of tribes and they all just breed with each other. Which is the only reason our heroin exists. The gene pool was getting to in bred so the goddess stepped in and spelled her dad and her mom, strangers and not mates, to have sex and have a daughter outside of the mate bond bringing in some new genes or else the species is going to die out. But like. The goddess makes the mate bonds. Couldn’t she just stop mating the same people? And maybe don’t make your pack consist of all brothers? That means each pack is each other’s brother, cousin and brother husband? Lol ok. Each dad creates a son exactly like him, alpha creates alpha, beta creates beta, gamma creates gamma and they all have the same exact personalities so it’s just like, cloning? Over and over again?
Lol I’m not even joking.
Stuff is wild.

Fast paced medium to fast burn

This book moved quite quick and little to you know it you’re done with the first book. There’s a bit of denial, but it didn’t linger and everything else came fairly quickly. There’s a bit of rape intent, even if it didn’t happen, so if that’s a trigger for you, you’ve been warned.

This was surprisingly good - very sweet, emotional, and hot 🌶️! Occasionally cringy 😅, but I mostly found it amusing or downright funny 😂🙈.
I was thoroughly entertained while reading this 👌

"Hungry for Her Wolves" follows the journey of a young woman thrust into a world of wolf-shifters, pack dynamics, and overwhelming lust. Amara is a lone wolf who hasn't had the easiest life. She discovers her connection to a pack of wolves when one of her mates scents her and comes to find her. She is then escorted to the reservation, where she will learn the intricate politics surrounding their existence. As she navigates this unfamiliar world, the story unfolds with a mix of suspense, romance, and supernatural intrigue. Tensions rise as she grapples with her own identity, love interests, and the challenges that come with being entwined in the complex relationships within the pack. It’s a tale of passion and danger, keeping you hooked with a blend of mystique and emotional depth throughout the narrative.

Paranormal reverse harem 👌, 4 wolf-brothers and one lonely she-wolf 🐺. It was steamy all the way through 🥵

3.5 but rounded to 4
I wasn't a fan of the first 60% of the book. I wasn't really sure what the point of the book was... The characters seemed much younger than they actually were. Very childish language. And some of the vocabulary for spicy times really took me out of it... BUT the last 40% really sucked me in and I needed to know what was gunna happen.
I shall move to book 2 :)

This is a fast-paced wolf shifter reverse harem romance. Very entertaining, the FMC is very sappy she definitely could have had a stronger character with four wolf shifter mates. Very steamy, I was drawn in with the beautiful book cover and have two more books to read in this book of three stories! I hope the found family and the story continue to get better!

Spoilers Ahead.

Disappointing to say the least. I had somewhat high expectations of this book, a strong willfull heroine and whatnot.

That is not what we got. While i get being drawn sexually and just overall drawn to someone, who's supposed to be your mate. I just couldn't get on whatever train to crazy town this was. We got an idea of an independent woman, she thought she was the only shifter left. Until she meets her mates. After that, she cries in over half the book, she tells her life story within 5 min of meeting the first guy. She can't make her mind up about one of her guys/mates. One minute she loves him, the next she hates him, doesn't want him in the harem. But she can't cut him out, because they come as a package deal. Then he's the best thing again, and then she hates him again. She's so insecure of herself and the supposed bond with her mates/guys, that she caused a lot of unnecessary suffering. I won't be continuing this series.

Interesting storyline. I kept reading because I wanted to reach the end and find out where the story went. I wasn’t happy to see an abrupt ending but I wasn’t super surprised either.
What I absolutely hated was the heroine. She spent the ENTIRE book with her emotions ping ponging like a pinball machine. She made me forget she was a well educated, mature, adult woman because she acted like a petulant teenager. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING was her fault. Even things that happened before she existed, in fact in one of her internal diatribes she said things would be better if she hadn’t been born. Ugh, she was just so dramatic… I hate you, I’m horny for you, I should run away to save everyone from my drama, I hate you again, it’s all my fault that the stepmother I’ve never met before hates me so I should run away, on and on. It really was overwhelming and made it difficult to finish.
Unfortunately, I won’t be reading the next book.

I liked her brothers, her grandparents, and all the characters and backstory --- but it was drowned out by the most annoying insta-love, insta-lust and cringe-worthy hormones. Overdone and unrealistic. Still, the story was hard to put down and there were some genuine feels.

Drivel

Patriarchal, knuckle dragging blathering. Completely gross. Amara is introduced as a strong young woman who has survived a horrible childhood and come out stronger. Then some rando with wounds shows up at her work and her inner ninny takes over. Suddenly her backbone is gone. She went from "take your misogyny and shove it" to pouring and chugging her own cups of koolaid. She's apologizing for her childhood and abuses. She's catering to their every whim like her brain leaked out with all the gushing she's doing downstairs. She's willing to abandon her dogs, her career, every goal she's ever had because of complete strangers. Didn't want kids, the very next day she wants a passel. Can diagnose every animal illness, and as a vet could treat them, but sends her mom-in-law's dog off with the guys to a vet and hour away? For a splinter?? And how are all these small dogs ok with wolves and werewolves around? Trigger warnings for 2 attempted s**ual assaults when she was a child. That deserved a warning in the blurb. She also referred to herself as slave labor, but then said she was being docked pay by her aunt? But never said she was being paid. The boys only have 4 roles? Girls don't ever get to decide if they don't want kids? You can't tell me a constantly assaulted and abandoned foster kid is going to do a 180 from independence in less than 48 hours and just jump in a car with 6 strangers and then head off for 6 weeks with another set of strangers. The speech patterns go from modern slang to old school formal. She starts stamping her feet and crying over ridiculous things. She refuses food, has always been half starved, yet her body doesn't show signs of starvation. Everything contradicts itself. And I only made it about 40% in before I just couldn't take it anymore.

I guess I’m in the minority

I feel that regarding this book there are two types of reactions : loved it or didn’t finish it. While I was lured in by the cover and plot, I ended up in the second category.

Usually in each harem, there’s this one heavy-handed character who demands more often than he asks. And after meeting Drasko it became clear he would be it. But turns out they all are (even the in-laws) and that was a problem for me. You can’t just kidnap a stranger and expect her to be ok with it just because you’re like her…

I also feel a bit cheated because our FMC was presented as independent and strong but she stopped fighting for her choices so quickly she gave me whiplash. I thought it would be about her finding her people AND her voice, not just the first. Every strangers and their brothers making decisions for her became old real quick and after 33% I just gave up and skipped to the end.

I had such high hopes for this book and they were not met. I will not be continuing this series.

Such a disappointment :(
I am usually a very committed person to series that don’t start the best but are said to get better, but I can’t …
I just can’t continue reading the series

Mixed feelings about the mc tho
Most mc are defiant, confident, aggressive, and etc. but this mc was a change
She was scared easily and didn’t put up much of a fight when she thought something was wrong and she cried way too much

Also I am so annoyed with the mc in books just going with everything and barely putting in any resistance to what was changing their life so fast in the beginnings

Amara knew she was different but after all she had been through as a child, she never thought she would find any other like her or have a loving family until Luc turned up at her work and everything changes.

Suddenly Amara is thrown into the world of the unknown, having to learn the shifter culture and everything they hold dear whilst trying to keep a lid on her undeniable attraction to her mates.

Then enters the big bad right on cue to disrupt Amara’s world just as she starts coming to terms with her destiny....

I have never been so reluctant to swoon over a hot male before, until I read about Drasko! He was infuriating yet so yummy at the same time..
My heart literally melted for the brothers, Amara is a very lucky lady!

Reading so many shifter/omega romances, it was nice to get something different. The plot of an independent woman finding people who could help her with her culture and connecting with her family. There were good spice scenes, I realized after half of the book the plot just wasn’t doing it for me. The dialogue and scenes were just not flowing.

Hungry For Her Wolves is an entertaining book. Like all books there are bad parts and brilliant moments throughout a story. I loved that her companions are passionate about Amara, although I felt they fell for her to soon with little struggle. Another thing that I disliked was that Amara is introduced to us as a resilient, stubborn, strong young woman; however, with little time her character completely changes to a meek, still strong, and non-independent young woman. Her personality change is a change that I did not agree with. Then again I didn't write the book. Other than Amara's personality switch and the wolves (Drasko, Rone, Luc, and Hakon) swift fall into love this was a great read.

This is my own opinion if you do NOT agree please skip over my review; not everyone has the same taste that you may have.

Full of action (all kinds) tied up in an unusual mix of independence and dependence. Some would say that the female lead was giving up all of her freedom. I disagree. The men in her life were ultimately the ones giving up. There's always a lot of give and take in any relationship. Sometimes you just have to look a little closer to take in the nuances. I am not one who usually reads this kind of book. To be honest, I did skip to the dialogue a couple of times. I was just more interested in the communication between the characters. I have to say that I really liked this book. First, it is refreshing to read outside of a series. When it ended, it was truly over. Well Done.
