When Bailey McBride finishes grad school, her four older brothers give her the gift of a lifetime—a trip to a Hawaiian paradise. She’s looking to relax before diving into her professional plans full force.
Seth Greer, a Montana rodeo cowboy, is on the island to guest star in a charity island rodeo. He’s got several possibilities for a good career and life lined up. It all depends on what fate sends his way as to which fork in the road he will take. But then he spots Bailey.
Seth’s head hasn’t stopped spinning since he met gorgeous Bailey who has turned his world upside down and has made him think fate has given him the nudge that she’s the one.
Although Bailey has had some bad experiences with men in her life, Seth isn’t like the others. He’s got plans for a life beyond the rodeo, and those plans include helping others as well as himself. Still, he isn’t part of her carefully made plans, and the only thing she knows how to do anymore is run.
Cheyenne McCray fell in love with reading and writing early, deciding in kindergarten that one day she would become an author. Today, she is an award-winning New York Times and USA Today bestselling fiction author who’s sold millions of books worldwide. Having published more than 100 novels and novellas in contemporary and paranormal romance, urban fantasy and romantic suspense, she is now also writing cozy mysteries as Deb Ries.
Chey grew up on a ranch in southeastern Arizona and delights in creating stories of suspense, love, and redemption with characters and worlds her readers can get lost in. Chey and her equally geeky husband live with their two dogs, six ducks (the neighborhood celebrities), and a small flock of chickens in a small Arizona town where she enjoys gardening, crazy quilting and, of course, writing.
I loved everything about this book, sweet with off the charts sexual tension and some very hot, hot, Hot page burning sexy times. Bailey McBride is on a trip of a lifetime after finishing grad school. She will spend 2 weeks with her best friends, when they are able to get there. Seth Greer spends 2 weeks every year on Moni in Hawaii, on his way over on the ferry he spots a beautiful woman and finagles a taxi ride with her. They just happen to be staying at the same resort. They have an instant attraction but neither will admit to their feelings. They each have a life plan and Bailey’s definitely does not include a man at this time. She’d been burned to many times in the past. It was a fast romance but strangely enough it didn’t feel that way. It felt like they took all the steps of falling in love but it was only a little more than a week. Miscommunication and lies by omission just might end a relationship of a lifetime.
A chance meeting with another person born and raised in the cattle country of the US, is last the thing they expected under the golden rays of the Hawaiian sun, but meet they did and an instant attraction proves to be a complication that Bailey doesn’t need. Seth is charming and sweet, so his genuine interest in showing her the sights of his beloved Momi meant keeping her distance was never on the cards, and the wonderful adventures that ensued and an untimely romance that grips them tight, only makes Bailey’s ultimate decision so much harder.
There’s absolutely no doubt that Cheyenne McCray writes heartfelt, meaningful and simply delicious Cowboy novels that make every reader want their very own Wrangler wearing, smooth talking, tall drink of water. That Ms McCray decided to make this particular sexy Montanan, sand loving, a surfer, and fluent in Hawaiian too, only made Seth’s appeal all the more intriguing.
Midnight with You is in a word…. beautiful. There are wonderfully descriptive scenes that had this less travelled reader, wishing I were there, taking in the magnificent sights. Then there’s the relationship between Bailey and Seth; so well developed and full of fun, with great food, explorations and a burning attraction that simmers, but is never doused before it finally erupts. Theirs is a romance made of dreams and heartbreak; they just need to decide which will triumph.
Reading the first two books in this series isn’t a must to enjoy Midnight with You, so if you only add one book to your “MUST READ” list before the end of the year, make sure it’s this one. I can’t recommend this story highly enough!
Bailey McBride is headed to a Hawaiian island. She has just finished grad school and she has plans to travel and conquer the world. Her two best friends are suppose to go with her but they get tied up at home for the first five days of the trip. Bailey has barely made it off the plane when Seth spots her. Seth is on island for a rodeo fundraiser. He’s been to the island once a year for fifteen years. He’s a rodeo champion. They are both at the same hotel and share a ride there.
This is definitely a love at first sight story. While both seem a little stunned how fast they are falling they aren’t stopping it. Until Bailey who sabotages all her relationships realizes it won’t work because she has plans. Plans she hasn’t told Seth about. Plans that had Seth known about might not have gotten so involved with Bailey. Both heartbroken Bailey sees no hope. Seth goes for a long run and then has a conversation with her two BFF’s Seth offers Bailey an option.
If it could be, this would be 4 1/2 ****. Bailey willing to throw a love away, briefly had me angry she wasn’t willing to fight for it. This third book in the Riding Tall 2 series moves through this other McBride family.
Bailey McBride and Seth Greer meet in Hawaii, fall for each other quickly as Seth shows Bailey all the local sites and makes her holiday really special. She has on problem with falling for the sexy Montana cowboy because she has plans to t each in Europe using her graduate degree in teaching English as a second language.
Seth is on the National Rodeo circuit and is a doctor of physical therapy and with a ranch in Montana with part of it for special needs cowboys and people that can't afford treatments when hurt, so he can't leave the States and maintain his business, retirement goals from rodeo.
I loved the compromise that Seth suggested to Bailey and how they worked out their differences with communication and a mature attitude about their relationship. Midnight with You is a perfect title for this story set in Hawaii with all the midnight beach walks.
This book was awesome, I loved everything about it. The characters were down-to-earth, relatable and charismatic and the storyline well-written, plausible, engaging and fun. I was engrossed in Seth and Bailey’s story from the first page and well invested by the end, rooting for their happy ending. The book was full of drama, excitement, fun, laughs, tears, sadness, romance, and sexy times. It was everything you could want in a good read. Midnight with You is book three in the Riding Tall 2 series and can easily be read as a stand-alone without confusion; though I would suggest reading the series in order to get the most out of your reading experience.
*I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy from the author and am voluntarily providing my honest review.
I guess this is book three in the series but it is the first book that I have read from this author. This book can be read as a stand alone, I did not feel like I was missing anything by not reading the other books first. The characters were great and easy to like and cheer for. The story line flow was a nice natural pace. This was a nice romance story. I gave 4 out of five stars because I feel the ending could have been handled better. I would recommend this book.
This was a very good book. You have a beautiful smart woman who goes to Hawaii for vacation and meets a handsome cowboy. They get to talking and then he shows her different places to see on the island because he has been coming there since he was in high school. They fall in love but have some issues because she wants to travel around the world teaching English to students and he wants to stay in the USA. Great book and it has a happy ever after!!!
I totally enjoyed this book. I loved the characters Bailey and Seth. I loved that Bailey was a strong and independent woman who knew what she wanted out of life. Seth..well if only I could find a Seth of my own on a vacation. He was the perfect cowboy gentleman. I think their story unfolded perfectly.
So I took a different direction on this one and went cowboy/rodeo romance instead of my usual dark and twisted (mainly as I’ve been watching Yellowstone and have a cowboy thing at the moment! 🤠)
Gotta admit I quite liked it too for something different.
▪️Friends to lovers ▪️Vacation romance ▪️No cliffhanger
Bailey McBride and her two friends were supposed to be going to Hawaii, but Bailey went by herself and her friends would follow in a couple of days. Bailey meets Seth, a rodeo cowboy, when they share a cab and end up in the same hotel. They meet up again to dine together. A good story, but it took a time for them to "get it on". I enjoyed reading this story. Good series too! 4☆
This is the first book I've read by this Author and I wasn't disappointed. Strong, independent woman meets equally strong and independent Cowboy. This is such a sweet love story with great sexual tension and a few spicy scenes. A definite good read!
Seth took one look at the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and fell in love. She really hadn't been looking for a rodeo cowboy, but seeing Seth changed her mind. Could it possibly work out for them.
Slow starting for me, almost too much detail. But then i do have A very clear picture of the characters. Maybe that was the point. Sweet characters and presents dilemma that many people have encountered. Glad i kept reading.
Hawaii is a beautiful place for romance. Bailey and Seth had it all. They're country people with big plans. Following the elation and angst of their love was a real pleasure. Ms. McCray is an awesome author. I'm looking forward to more wonderful stories and characters. Thank you
A holiday romance that ends with forever. Bailey and Seth meet and fall in love on an Hawaiian island holiday, neither is ready for the fall but you just can't plan when you will meet the love of your life. The story is sweet and the romance is hot.
This was such a sweet and fun book. Loved how quickly Seth falls for Bailey. But she’s got plans, will she make room for him? Loved his compromise, and they get a very happy ever after.
Wow what a story! Bailey McBride is on two weeks vacation and meets Seth Greer right off the fairy at Momi. They share a ride to the hotel and they both stay at. Seth is a cowboy and has been coming to the island for years and he offers to show her around. Great read!😊😁
Enjoyed the last two books.Going to read the next in this series. Hopefully there.will be another book in this series or a continuation of this same series.
Cowboy romance with no real angst or drama. Just a sweet read about a couple who connect on holiday and then sort out the logistics of life together. A sweet read.
Good story and remarkably interesting to learn about the flora and fauna in Hawaii. Too bad the author felt a need to give the same details on sex. Superfluous.
