Sekani just planned to stretch his Egyptian fruit bat’s wings a little while his vampire lover, Master Borscht Kuznetsov, sat through a conference call. Unfortunately, his short flight takes an unexpected turn when he runs into another bat…of the non-shifter variety. Sekani’s headlong rush puts him in unexpected peril. While Sekani can speak telepathically with Borscht, will it be enough for his vampire to find and rescue him?
This was such a cute little tale of Sekani getting sprayed by a skunk and chased away by another bat. He ends up falling and hitting his head and then finds that he is lost and can't find his way back home. He is saved by Borscht and then taken back home for some passionate fun and cleaning. I enjoyed it and I've always loved little Sekani. He's so adorable. Fun, and very sweet read. =)
I didn't care for Sekani the first time around and I really dislike this name, sorry it's just not for me. Plus, just... smack self you KNEW it was coming that it was gonna be like super stupid.. just wanted it gone is my only excuse..
On a compulsive re-re-read of the various series that make up the Stone Ridge world. One by one as stand alones, these short stories and novellas are usually a 3 with the occasional 2 dropped in. As a binge read they move to a higher category as the world building and plots become cohesive and more complex as the individuals merge. Alone they often feel like there are gaps or unfinished plots. Problem is there are over 190 books.
This was pretty silly and fun! Sekani and Borscht (not my favorite name ever) are one of my favorite couples in Charlie’s series. Sekani is pretty sweet and innocent still and Borscht is still his hunky savior.
Don’t expect anything to substantial, just a bit of fun.
An adorable story of Sekani's misadventures as a bat leading to the entire coven banding together to find and rescue him. Sometimes everything seems to go wrong in a day, but everything can be better when you're with someone you love. Very sweet!
