All We Want… wow. This one hit me right in the feels. I laughed, I cried, and I loved it so much. Sometimes the books you relate to the most are the ones that hit you the hardest. I’ve always loved Luke and Tessa as a couple. They love each other fiercely and even through this struggle, they have each others backs.
“This will test you in ways you haven’t been tested before.”

Month after month, Tessa and Luke are disappointed with the fact that Tessa’s not pregnant. She wants a baby more than anything and it seems it’s happening to everyone else around her. And the most frustrating thing? Nothing is wrong. How can you fix something when you don’t know what’s broken?

Infertility can test a couple like nothing else can. My husband and I have been married for 12 years and struggled with it for 6 of those years. I always say, if we’ve made it through all the treatments, failed attempts, and insanely high emotions, we can make it through anything. And I truly believe that. What I loved most about this book was Tessa and Luke’s love and commitment to each other. Of course they wanted to do whatever they had to do to have a baby, but deep down, they were what each other needed and when it came down to it, they were enough for one another.
Being in this together means everything.

J. Daniels really brought the feels with this book. I was in tears from almost the start. But I also laughed and smiled a lot. Tessa and Luke are a fun couple and I love their banter. And it’s also steamy. Seriously, this was the perfect little novella. I almost never rate novella’s 5 stars because it always feels like something is missing, but this one was fantastic. The writing, the story, the emotions, the characters, I loved it all. The ending was perfect. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I love this family of characters so much!

A great short story, following up on Tessa and Luke from book 2 in the Alabama Summer series. This one can not be read as a stand-alone...You need to read "All I Want" first.

I really enjoyed reading this one, even though I had to suspend my disbelief a bit. I have always liked all of the characters in this series but Luke and Reed are most definitely my favorite "Bama Boys".

It was good catching up with all of them and I am very glad that Tessa and Luke finally got their HEA.

3,5 - 4 stars from me ;)

#ALLTHEFEELS

a beautiful addition to the series in general and a heart wrenching, sometimes really saddening but beautiful homage to one of my fave couples in this series; Luke & Tessa.

Seeing them living through their own nightmares and working towards a HEA was intense and emotional, especially considering I'm living a lot of it myself as well at the moment. This story hits close to home which is probably why I've been an emotional mess right from the start. But I couldn't just not read, you know? I mean, it's a book about Luke & Tessa! These characters are so preciousssss...

And of course, there's not only Luke & Tessa. The whole gang makes reappearances and I couldn't be happier about it since I missed all of them a lot and they are just awesome! And Nolan in particular has to be mentioned I think: This kiddo soooo frigging cute. I can't even with this kid; He gets even more cute with every new book! I cannot wait to see him again in the next Bama book - and hopefully get his own book when he's all grown up *swoooon.

This book broke my heart at first and it was so sad at times but it gives you hope & all the feels as well. I laughed, I cried, I broke apart, I was put back together again and enjoyed every single second spend reading this book, even though it was so intense and emotional to me because of this particular story-line. To every Alabama Summer reader out there; this book is nothing short of amazing! We finally got what we were asking for and J. Daniels couldn't have written a more powerful follow-up book on this amazing power couple.

If you aren't familiar yet with these books and characters; pleaaaase go check out Where I Belong, the first book in the series and get hooked. You won't regret it for a second, I promise! J. Daniels has real talent when it comes to writing beautiful romance stories filled with just enough angst, amazing characters and just really great writing. Her writing has me always hooked right from the start and it never lets go. It has you feeling so much while reading the book and you continues thinking and feeling about these characters long after you finished reading. GO READ THE BOOKS <3

From all of the couple books i read in tjis series, Luke and Tess are my least favorite. Then i found this All We Want and i thought i give it a try. Its a short novella anyway.

And i am surprise. I like them in this book. I think because in this book they are more mature adult and more realistic on working on their marriage issues. And the biggest of all, tackling having kids. They both want kids desperately. But both Tessa and Luke have been difficulty getting pregnant.

It is a warm fun loving story. A bit of plot twist on the end, but i am glad finally everything works fine for both of them.

"4 L & T Stars"

This series is one of my favorite so I know what Luke and Tessa went through until the got the family the wanted. This reading was so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I loved their bond and how powerful their love was to overcome everything even the the only thing that was missing from their lives. So as much as I liked how things turned out, I think some of the events could have been avoided, some parts were over the top and only broke Luke and Tessa's hearts more than necessary! Also I would like a few chapters with Luke and Tessa being parents, you know? Hopefully we'll get that in the next book!

Overall, I really enjoyed this reading! I liked the catch up with the previous characters as well. I had missed them since the last time I read about them! Bama Boys going strong!

This was a sweet little novella detailing the struggles Tessa and Luke are going through to have a child. I enjoyed it a lot. You will need to read their individual full-length book before going into this one, though.

All We Want was J Daniels’ sixth book in her Alabama Summer series. It was the continuation of Luke and Tessa’s story in their pursuit to expand their family.

It was a mixture of emotional and sweet. Daniels reminded us why we loved Tessa and Luke. They were each other’s other half of crazy and balance. They click like no other couple in the series and it was perfect for them. Daniels took us through their fight for pregnancy and beyond. It was a real life issue that couples experience daily and Daniels portrayed the challenges and struggles well. It was emotional, came full circle and well worth the ride.

Daniels continued to tease us with possibilities for storylines for the offspring. However, first up is Jake in Say I’m Yours. Then onto Nolan....

This novella continues the story of Luke & Tessa (characters of book 2 in the series) and it follows their struggles with fertility.

It's as full of drama, angst and intensity as their full-length novel. It was a light and enjoyable read.

The reason I had to take a star off is that I couldn't fully get behind the downright greif and panic Tessa felt about not getting pregnant immediately. It's only been a year since they even decided to start trying to get pregnant, and she's already "been going to fertility doctors for a long time". Why? Both Luke and Tessa are under 30, generally and reproductively healthy, there's no specific reason for them to need a pregnancy fast. A year is not long at all, it's pretty normal, really. Her hystrics look either arrogant or ignorant.

YESSSS!! This is exactly just what I needed and have been waiting for for my babies—Luke and Tessa! These two have always been my favorite, and when I got wind that we’ll finally be getting more of them, my heart just about flew off the rails. J. Daniels has absolutely granted our wishes with All We Want and gave us the perfect sequel we’ve all been yearning for.

“I don’t need anything else. I swear to God, I don’t. I want you. Everything else is just bonus.”

The emotions in this book was just through the damn roof—one minute I’m laughing and giggling, and the next, I’m clutching my heart in tears. How can a novella pack so much heat and passion and love and heartbreak? J. Daniels definitely made sure we got all that and more in this. I truly felt every ounce of Luke and Tessa’s struggle, but I also felt like I won right along with them when they got the happiest news ever.

I don’t grip her like I’m desperate, but I love her desperately. It’s the only way I know how.

All We Want is, hands down, one of the most beautiful and emotionally poignant novellas I’ve ever read, and I loved every single second of it. Now I’m craving more of the other Bama Boys!

“Was there really ever any doubt here? Of course, his sperm is flawless. He’s a ten on a bad day and he doesn’t have those. I’m sure other sperm want to be his sperm.”

I can’t get enough of the Bama series and was pretty excited to read this novella about Tessa and Luke. There’s no doubt that they’re crazy about one another. Their love is truly forever . They’re struggling to get pregnant and have been for the past books. It’s been difficult following them and the author captures and depicts it with so much emotion that my heart broke for them numerous times. I enjoyed their journey cause it and their reactions felt real. It takes a toll on a marriage and it’s the same with Tessa and Luke. They’ve learned from their past mistakes and watching them communicate throughout this difficult times was a gift. They match and complement each other perfectly. This couple have come so far. I enjoyed their journey and even though this part of their story is over I know I’ll still be with them in upcoming books in the Alabama series.

For those who are planning to read this one, I suggest reading All I Want FIRST. This is the second book in Tessa and Luke's love story and if you read them out of order you won't get the full effect of their story. With that, this is an emotional story and it deals with infertility. The journey was a hard one to read about because it affects so many. J. Daniels clearly poured her heart out with this novella and I commend her for the care she gave to the story. There were moments where I was CRYING. Literally balling my eyes out because it had such an effect on my heart. But there are also moments where you can feel the love emanating through the pages because these two characters care so much about each other. It's a beautiful addition to their story and I am so glad I read it.

I'll keep this review short because it's a shorter book and I think that people need to read it themselves in order to feel the emotional rollercoaster it presents. But please remember that it should not be read as a standalone and you must read All I Want first. This is my suggested reading order below and the stories/novellas that accompany them:

Where I Belong and Where We Belong are Ben and Mia's stories. The first one is the first book in the series and CAN standalone. The second one is a novella that catches readers up with where their lives are now.

All I Want and All We Want are Luke and Tessa's story (this is the one I am reviewing here)

When I Fall is a standalone in the series and features Reed and Beth (Reed is best friends with Tessa, Ben, and the crew. He doesn't have a novella yet but I'll update if another book is released for them

What I Need is another standalone in the series and features CJ and Riley!

#BamaBoysForever!!!

Ugh. My heart is soaring after this one. All We Want was raw, emotional, and beautiful. I laughed, cried, and got angry. I felt everything!

It was such a journey watching two amazing characters struggle to become parents. It was absolutely heartbreaking. It's was a long time coming, but Tessa and Luke got what they deserved and more!

Jessica once again proves why she's one of my favorite writers. She doesn't hold back! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of this squad that is the #BamaCrew. I cannot wait for Jake's story and I'm forever waiting for my sweet Nolan's turn to shine.

What an emotional roller coaster this was for Tessa and Luke Evans! I am always happy to go back to the Bama crew because I love these characters so much and I am so glad we got more from Tessa and Luke. It was heartbreaking to see them so sad, unable to do anything more to get pregnant. Of course, the story was difficult and sentimental but it all finished fantastically at the end.

I really enjoyed seeing more of this couple, their off-the-charts chemistry and their journey of extending their family. And seeing the Bama crew all together again! I cannot wait to read more stories in the Alabama Summer series!

All We Want is a quick and satisfying read that is a great addition to the Alabama Summer series.

While their friends are having babies left and right, Tessa and Luke are struggling to conceive. J. Daniels explores this topic in a thoughtful and realistic way. The strength of Tessa and Luke’s marriage is put to test as they deal with disappointment and guilt. Instead of being a bitter one-dimensional character, though, Tessa is the same sassy and caring woman we’ve grown to love. Luke continues to be a triple threat: strong, supportive, and sexy as hell.

Some aspects are predictable, but I was surprised by how touching the story is. An epilogue would have made it extra sweet, but that’s just nitpicking. This book was a hit for me, and I really enjoyed the narration as well.

I think we all had been missing the Bama world. And we all wanted more Luke and for him and Tessa to have babies. That's what this book was all about - Luke and Tessa. And babies.

And omg you guys it was amazing. I had missed this bunch so damn much. I had forgotten how fun these two were and how hot too. I loved getting reacquainted with it all. But my damn this book was not for the light of heart, it was pretty emotionaç and a tiny bit hard to read at times and even so it was so damn good, fun and most of all beautiful. I loveddddd it!!

I just wish it had been longer. After all that heartache, I wanted more of Luke and Tessa and actual babies but we'll get more of that on future books though, so yay!

That was the cutest shit I’ve ever read! Ok one, the pain, I was not expecting the pain y’all and it slapped you all up in the feels. But outside of that was how real it all felt, the good and the bad, the sad and the joy. It packed a hell of a punch for being under 200 pages.

What we want de J. Daniels serie Alabama Summer libro 6

This was such a wonderful surprise. I was so happy to get another glimpse into the BAMA life, and check on all the amazing people form this series. Also thank you J. Daniels for the emotions.
"Four years ago I hit the fucking lottery meeting Tessa Kelly. It was always her, and every time I swear she can't give me any better, she does. Every time I think life has peaked, she shows me we aren't finished.
We're just getting started."

Luke was such a sweetheart in this book. I always pegged him as a bit of an asshole but with a heart of gold when it comes down to Tessa. And here he proved just what an amazing man he is - in the first chapter, no less.

Tessa was her wonderful, and brilliant self - I always adored her, and I am so happy that she got her happy ending, because I feel like she deserved one.

This was one sweet,a bit heartbreaking and hot read. And it showed how strong their love is no matter what. And now I'm craving more - I can;t wait for Jake's story - and I think this series and I need a re-read.

4 ASK ME CROWNS

The Alabama Summer series was one of my first interconnected standalone series that I ever read. I love the family feeling of the all the books, the ribbing, the support, that drama that comes with a family is what constantly brings me back. I love this crew, and Luke and Tessa are one of my absolute favorite couples from the whole series.

With two words, Luke Evans stole my reader heart. ASK. ME. That is seriously all it took. Two words and I was a swooning mess. My love for him over the course of this novella has only escalated. His all consuming love for Tessa, his need to protect her, and his desire to see her happy not with words but actions solidifies not only why I love this series but Luke. He could no wrong. I swear.

Tessa, for this novella, really resonated with me. I have been in her shoes. The blame women put on themselves when infertility occurs, the isolation we feel, and the worry about how not being able to conceive will affect the relationship a person is in all weighs heavily on the mind of a woman trying to conceive, and J. Daniels did such an amazing job conveying the tumultuous emotions that plague a woman who yearns for a child in the most desperate way.

The story is pretty clear cut from the synopsis. J. Daniels takes readers on the journey with them. We see the emotional warfare of trying to conceive, the self doubt, and the pain, but we also get to see a couple who truly loves each other, who is in it for each other and not just the typical picture perfect married couple life. I fell in love all over again with their love and devotion to one another.

The Alabama Summer series will always be one of my favorites. The family and the steamy relationships between each of the couples will always bring me back to this crew. Now, it is time to bring on JAKE.

I. CAN’T. STOP. SOBBING. All We Want was so beautiful and heart-wrenching and special. The Bama gang is one of my all-time faves to read about, and J never disappoints, but WOW... Luke and Tessa’s novella was on a different level. Boy did J Daniels deliver with this one— I’m not sure when I will recover.

I wanted to write this review, and put this post up yesterday but I honestly needed a bit to process all the feelings that I had surrounding this book, and emotions that were coursing through my body. This book hit me right in the gut, and was so spot on with the feelings that can come with the struggle of having a baby, that I wept through a majority of the pages. Many people don’t know because it’s just not something that I speak of often, but my husband and I struggled for three years to have our son. We went through testing, and shots, and countless blood draws and ultrasounds. I struggled with feelings of inadequacy, and failure. The pressure to have a baby was immense. It was something that I had dreamed about for years, and I would cry for days every time that one of my friends would announce her pregnancy, or another girl would let us know she was expecting at work. It was miserable, and depressing, and put a tremendous amount of strain on my marriage. But we persevered through three miscarriages, and countless months of anticipation to finally welcome our son in January of 2011. Our struggle to have our daughter was of a lesser time frame, but also came with two more miscarriages and heartbreak. Surprisingly enough, when we were settled in our life, and were comfortable with our two little ones, God decided to throw a ringer at us, and our youngest was born in 2015 without a single struggle. Our family wouldn’t be complete without him.

Tessa and Luke have always been a favorite of mine, and I knew that I couldn’t wait to read All We Want, even if it would be an emotional struggle to do so. Dredging up old feelings can be painful, but also cathartic and that’s how I feel about this book. It was a painful book to read. If you’ve read Jessica’s story behind writing it, you know it was a painful book for her to write. But at the same time, it was fulfilling, and hopeful, and left me with a heart bursting with love for these two characters. I’ve been with this group of friends from the very beginning, and I truly believe that this is, and will always be, my favorite book of the group. I connected with these characters in a way that I haven’t done in the past. I saw myself in Tessa. In her disappointment, and her feelings of despair. The conversations that Luke and Tessa had, while hard and tough to read, were real. I’ve said those same words to my own husband. I felt broken, and like less of a woman because I couldn’t have a baby. I thought that my husband would be better of with someone else that could give him the family he always wanted. I was wrong in every regard, but in that moment it doesn’t stop you from thinking them.

All We Want is such an important book into today’s romance community. Pregnancy is something that seems to happen easily for our favorite characters. Often times it’s a surprise, or something that wasn’t wanted but in the end is the greatest blessing. I’ve read very few books that brought the true struggle of having a baby to the forefront. That were both beautiful and ugly at the same time. That showed the dark parts of marriage and the stress that trying to bring a life into the world can bring. This book, however, had it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly parts of life. All We Want is an absolute masterpiece, and is J. Daniels at her ultimate best.

I'll forever marvel at the way J. Daniels manages to skillfully and effortlessly write this series. As with the others that came before it, All We Want was the perfect addition to the Alabama Summer Series. It's smart and hella sexy, but it's also funny and deeply, heartbreakingly emotional.

That Ms. Daniels can move between those emotions, those feelings, so seamlessly . . . amazing.

This series is a favorite of mine, and the continuation of Luke and Tessa's story was beautiful. With cameos from all of our favorite Bama Boys and Girls, plus a meaningful story about family and love and hope, All We Want is sheer perfection. And now, all *I* want is more, more, more of this series.

All We Want no te deja indiferente.

3.5 Estrellas!
