These were all such cute little short stories. I enjoyed reading how power can destroy a family. Respect, Trust and Love can bring it full circle. Definitely a Must Read!

Clan wars and love stories
Enjoyed reading about all these Bear shifters, their clans and about humans in this book.
Book 1 - Arthur's Mate: VALOR CLAN - Emma has intense stress from her father and her boyfriend. Her mother is no help either so she disappears to Valor Lake by the Canadian border. There she meets Arthur. Arthur is a bear shifter and Emma is human. She saves him and he saves her.
Book 2 - Robin's Mate: MAGUIRE CLAN - Amelie is a hunter like her father, but unlike her father she tranquilize them and takes a selfie with the animal.This time she is caught tranquilizing Robin and being caught by his family members.
Book 3 - Peter's Mate: EXILED CLAN - Kiara took her daughter to a clinic because she been complaining of excessive hair growth and extra strength. The doctor is Arlene Maguire of the Maguire clan so she knows that her daughter Leah is a bear shifter. She has to break it to Kiara and it doesn't go well. Then they search for who the father is. The find out its Peter and he's from an exiled clan and that not good for Leah.
Book 4 - Joel's Mate - WITSEL CLAN - Teresa is a Fire Lookout at the Ranger Station. She sees Joel just standing there as a mother bear and her cub just walk by him. She finally sees him as a bear.
The underlying clan wars throughout the four stories comes to just a small conclusion in this book. I feel like it needed more of that storyline.

A box set of four Bear Shifter romances.
Four sexy and exciting about the Bear Shifter of Valor Lake.
Arthur’s Mate
Emma ups and moves away from her parents and boyfriend then meets Bear shifter Arthur. Emma was depressed by her parents dumping their responsibilities on to her then blaming her for everything and her boyfriend Marcus blaming her for everything even when he is at fault so after a failed attempt to kill herself she ups and moves to a small out of the way place Valor Lake. Soon after moving there she sees a man being chucked out by his girl friend who is throwing his stuff out into the rain then as he is picking up his stuff a police car comes along and he with the clothes her had manage to collect get into the car and go off. When it is all quiet she goes out and collects what she can putting them into some of her packing boxes. Then as she is having a drink at a local bar she meets the man Arthur and the sit and chat. As the days pass she meets his sister and other members of his family but she still has the shadow of what she ran away from hanging over her.
Robin’s Mate
Amelie grew up watching her father hunt and kill big and rare game animals taking pictures and trophies as he goes but as she got older she developed her own ideas and now hunt with a tranquilizer gun allowing her to taken picture and something small as a trophy while leaving the animal alive. She is hunting a grayclaw bear and seeing one step into the river she takes aim and fires. Once she is sure the bear is unconscious she takes a picture and clips off a claw and bags it but then its fur starts to change and she finds herself looking at a man.
Peter’s Mate
Kiara takes her daughter Leah to the doctor when she complains of aches and pains only to be told that her father who Kiara has no memory of must have been a bear shifter. Doctor Arlen start looking for Leah’s father but then they meet Peter by accident and he remembers Kiara. Peter has been exiled from his family and struggles to survive and when he finds he has a daughter he wants he but sees the problems she will have as the child of an exile. He finds he is getting a stronger and stronger attraction to Kiara.
Joel’s Mate
Teresa takes a summer job in a ranger watch tower trying to forget her dead boyfriend and the abortion she had after his death when she felt unable to cope without support from her parent. When a call from two young men results in her meeting Bear shifter Joel who was already there helping them. He starts visiting and they get friendly but trouble is brewing in Valor Lake and the bear families and exiles who live in the area. Joel’s family are hard liners and a major confrontation is coming. As Joel tries to keep the exiled bears from attacking humans and attracting attention. He also find his feelings getting stronger for Teresa.

Emma needed a fresh start away from her family and her ex boyfriend. Moving to Valer Lake seemed like a good fit for her. On her first day she see her neighbor tossing out her boyfriend's things as they break up and then she meets Arthur the guy who was tossed out at a local bar. They get to talking because both are feeling lonely and out of sorts and they become friends. Arthur invites her out with him and his sister. When things turn bad Emma learns about their secret. Arthur and his sister don't really worry that Emma will out them but they worry someone will try to hurt her to get at Arthur. Can Arthur and Emma make things work with them being so different?
Book Two – Robin’s Mate.
Robin is out in his bear form minding his own business when he is hit with a tranq dart. Emilie is a hunter however she doesn't kill her prey. She takes small tokens of hair or a clipped nail as her trophies. When other bear shifters happen upon her just as Robin changes into his human form they know they can't let her go. Hunting on their land is punishable by death. When Robin comes to he is upset by what happened however the longer he is around her he is drawn to her. When she is given a choice to do something to exonerate herself she takes it even though its a dangerous task. The more they are together the heated things get between them. Soon they give into temptation and sleep together. Will Robin be able to keep her safe?

Kiara's daughter is a bear shifter and because she is away from other like her its dangerous for to change forms when the time comes. So with the help of the shifter doctor Kiara tracks down the father of her daughter. Peter is stunned when he sees Kiara at first and is a little upset that she doesn't remember him like he does her. Peter is an exiled bear shifter and doesn't want that life for his daughter so he sets a plan into motion that should create a better life for his family. However no one expects the threat to them to be so close. Will Peter be able to keep his family safe?

This is a great series once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

What a spectacular series, with four shifters finding love.
Arthur’s mate -Emma came to Valor lake to escape her troubling past including her selfish parents and abusing ex. What starts as a friendship quickly becomes more. Their bond is tested but they overcome it.
Robin’s mate - Amelie is a big game hunter who doesn’t believe in killing animals but just in tranquilizing them as she loves the thrill of the hunt. On a mission to get a shot of an elusive greyclaw she quickly discovers that the bear is a shifter. Facing death Robin steps in and they are sent on two missions that end up bringing the two together and in the end they are excepted
Peter’s mate -Kiera didn’t expect that a one night stand could result to a beautiful little girl, and when 8 year old Leah begins having weird physical symptoms she’s informed that her daughter is a shifter. Kiera sets on a mission to find her father and when she walks into a bar in Valor lake she comes face to face with him. Peter gets the shock of a lifetime when he discovers that he’s the father of Leah. Being an excile he’s in danger and now so is his new family, but he will protect them with his life and in the end they become a true family
Joel’s mate -Teresa gets the shock of a lifetime when she responds to her ranger call and finds a naked man helping the injured hikers. These two develop an unusual friendship that has them openly sharing their past. But when Joel is exciled by his family the true danger comes after him and it ends up changing Valor lake and leaving most of Joel’s family dead. I had read Arthurs mate separately and was looking forward to reading about the rest of the bears in Valor Lake the box set consists of

mma is on the run not only are her parents emotionally abusive put er ex is physically abusive she needs to get out and ut as many miles as possible between them and her. She meets Arthur a bear shifter in a local bar he is trying to get over a abusive psycho girlfriend meanwhile is mother and grandmother are pressuring him to find his mate and produce offspring. Can two people with so much baggage actually what they need in one another. With the help of Arthur's family Emma will finally realise her own worth and stand up to her parents.
ROBIN'S MATE

These four books are probably best to read together.
Arthur's Mate
This story was interesting, and the author did a good job of informing us of her shifter world without taking away from the story. I was disappointed in the ending, because it took away from the character of Arthur. Emma is a victim of bullying, but Arthur helps her stand up for herself. This makes me believe Emily will grow in character, now that she has taken initiative in her life.
Robin's Mate
She's a hunter that records her trophy by dart hunting. Her latest trophy is Robin Witsel, bear shifter. The romance between these two is good, but the family makes strange requests and Robin justs goes along with it. I guess some people don't care about what their family is into.
Peter's Mate
This one is about the exile bears in Valor lake. Kiara had a one night stand and her daughter is now showing strange medical signs. Kiara just happens to take her to a shifter doctor and knows that her daughter is a shifter. Her daddy shifter turns out to be an exiled bear, but Kiara wants her daughter to know her father, because she doesn't understand the shifter side of her daughter. In this story, we find out more about the other side we keep hearing about in the first two books. This is probably the best story of all four books
Joel's Mate
Teresa is doing a summer job of Ranger Lookout, so she can heal from her boyfriends death. She meets Joel who hates his family, because of what they have done to the exiles. She learns about the shifters and keeps Joel from involving himself in family warfare. Hopefully, this is the last book in the series, because these shifters really don't deserve a happily ever after.

I was disappointed in the ending, because it took away from the character of Arthur. Emma is a victim of bullying, but Arthur helps her stand up for herself. This makes me believe Emily will grow in character, now that she has taken initiative in her life.
Robin's Mate
She's a hunter that records her trophy by dart hunting. Her latest trophy is Robin Witsel, bear shifter. The romance between these two is good, but the family makes strange requests and Robin justs goes along with it. I guess some people don't care about what their family is into.
Peter's Mate
This one is about the exile bears in Valor lake. Kiara had a one night stand and her daughter is now showing strange medical signs. Kiara just happens to take her to a shifter doctor and knows that her daughter is a shifter. Her daddy shifter turns out to be an exiled bear, but Kiara wants her daughter to know her father, because she doesn't understand the shifter side of her daughter. In this story, we find out more about the other side we keep hearing about in the first two books. This is probably the best story of all four books
Joel's Mate
Teresa is doing a summer job of Ranger Lookout, so she can heal from her boyfriends death. She meets Joel who hates his family, because of what they have done to the exiles. She learns about the shifters and keeps Joel from involving himself in family warfare. Hopefully, this is the last book in the series, because these shifters really don't deserve a happily ever after.

Emma and Arthur are the first book and Emma definitely got more than she imagined when she ran to Valor lake to escape both her boyfriend and her parents. Lots of steam and some great chemistry between these two. In the second book we have Robin and Amelie who is a big game hunter who tranqs her prey and takes pictures with. Robin was the bear and his family was not happy with a human knowing their secret and wanted her killed. Plenty of fun with this story. The third book had Kiara going to Valor lake to find the father of her daughter who was a shifter. Peter was not what she was expecting as she couldn't remember her one night stand. Both had issues with their families and the story had some action and some sexy time. The last book was Teresa and Joel. Both of these also had issues. Teresa was a ranger watching for fires in a tower and Joel just didn't agree with his family. Some action and some fun while these two grew to know each other. Each story had great secondary characters and an HEA. Fun stories. I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received from Booksprout.

There is tension among those families. there are the Exiles who stay close by, but are scraping by. The 4 books weave stories of love found, families who love, and families who don't. As always Ms. Daniels touches on relatable and relevant subjects with poise, compassion, and care. Her heroes and heroines are believable, likable, and leave you wanting more of their stories. The author crafts such full characters, such passion and depth that you will miss these characters when you close the book. Valor Lake is a small community and a large number of bear shifters. They are mostly secluded, living on land marked as indiginous territory, with their own laws and rules. Outsiders are not encouraged. But in the 4 stories of this boxed set we meet four strong human woman, who fall for their bears and are willing to do anything for them.
Well-written and entertaining, these stories are all stand-alone and just the area and families connect the stories.

All these bear shifter stories I couldn’t pick a favourite I loved them all, 4 bear shifters finding their sassy mates. At the end of the book there is a preview of Taja’s Dragon as a bonus I loved this box set and I know you will too. A fantastic box set a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this box set it’s definitely well worth the read.

This series of stories take place at Valor Lake but they are all stand alone. I enjoyed all of them. Arthur was the best one in my opinion. I think if they had been longer with a little more character development, they could have been better. There was a historical error in Joel’s story, so be prepared to ignore the facts. The French Revolution took place two centuries after the Pilgrims/Puritans came to the Americas so no one escaping the dangers in France would have travelled with the Pilgrims.

In this box set we get 4 books. In each we meet the bears who not only find their mates but they have to fight to keep them. These books have non-stop action from the first word to the very end. There is so much I want to tell you about this set. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say that each of these books have you craving the next and in this box set there is no waiting for the next installment. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Bears of Valor Lake
This isn't quite the sort of bear shifter book I usually read, dosn't mean it wasn't good though. In the Valor Lake community there are 3 main families all trying to be top dog, or in this case bear. You break any rules, you're exiled, not nice, your family dumping you, possibly trying to kill you, for daring to be slightly different. This is the story of 4 men/bears, finding their partners and the change coming to the valley, with their part in it. It's well written and enjoyable

Overall, I didn't like the heroines in any of the stories. Joel's mate was almost a DNF for me, the abortion discussion was disgusting, adoption is always an option but nope, just kill the baby bc her life would be harder. At this point in the series, I decided to fast forward and see if the bear conflict gets some resolution and couldn't have cared less about any HEA for either the H and h.

Lisa Daniels has put together a box set containing four stories about four bear shifters finding their human mates, each with their own interesting tale and circumstances. The families are multi-generation, so that means you get all the personalities that would involve. Sometimes, laughably so!! What a great way to spend a weekend, by letting these stories carry you away to a magical shifter world where all things are possible.

Love this box set of bear shifter romances! This series is about four women who end up in the small community of Valor Lake where they meet their mates who are bear shifters. I really like how each story is a standalone but together they tie together perfectly. Each story is entertaining and full of drama, suspense, action, twists and turns and a great HEA's. Bear shifters hiding in plain sight in a small town. The story has a twist. A bear spirit gave their ancestors the ability to shift. But for some it can also be a curse. They must stay near the location of the spirit or suffer extreme pain and possibly death. In each book we meet one specific shifter as he finds his mate. But things are never easy and there is a lot of strife within the families of bears. So expect lots of romance, a little hotness, family fighting and even death.

A great box set...
This is very good series and all together in one place. The storyline is interesting and kept my attention to the end. The characters were developed and charismatic. I really luved them. The writing was good and very few typos. The dialogue was believable and fit the story time and place. A nice paranormal romance series. I would recommend it to any adult reader. Best of all it's free on KU.

Loved this box set. Very well written with excellent characters and a plot line to match. They are exciting, emotional, surprising, fun, enjoyable, suspenseful. And hot male alpha bears and the females they mate. I couldn't put them down they are so good. I recommend them. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.

Four books filled with paranormal shifter romance. Taken from different families these shifters know what they want and it's not always easy. A great collection of books which has left me wanting to know more of the background characters. Completely entertaining, easy to read and equally easy to lose yourself in.

I really enjoyed reading this seires. Each story had such great characters, each dealing with their own issues, human and shifter.
Lisa Daniels breaths life into each one and takes you on a journey that eventually brings the HEA.

Hated,Power,lose, and finding a kindred soul!

Where to start.....um... the writing wasn't bad, the characters were totally unlikable at I personally would not want to have a cup of coffee with any of them. Almost no romance, minimal sexiness, and a small amount of action.
