The three books cover the stories of the people who fight against paranormal evil. However, the scenes were described so realistically, it almost seemed like it flashed before my eyes. Strong characters and there is plenty of emotions which was perfect in the backdrop. Enjoyed it.
Contained in this box set are three very exciting stories about numerous individuals who fight against evil in an intriguing paranormal world. The Belador series is always captivating because any happenings are not only imaginative but truly seem as though the situations could take place just as depicted. It is so easy to become caught up in whatever adventure that Dianna Love cleverly conceives, as the circumstances are so convincing at all times.
DEMON STORM – Book 5
The saga of personal experiences about Evalle and her supernatural friends continues in the fifth book of the Belador series. Though they have fought and won many courageous battles over their enemies, threats never completely cease because of the single-minded determination of these evil beings. Dianna Love brings back a number of beloved characters to carry on the fight to protect humans from otherworldly predators, where the stakes in numerous emotional conflicts are exceedingly high. DEMON STORM leaves you breathless on countless occasions.
While there are several dangerous circumstances to overcome, it is the profound emotional episodes in the fifth Belador book that I will recall again and again. The characters in this series are all strong and gutsy, and seeing so many of them express heart wrenching inner feelings truly touched me quite a few times. Storm is someone I have loved from the very start, and I deeply felt for him because of all the troubling events happening in his life. Dianna Love knows precisely how to convey sentiments with a realistic sincerity, and I was greatly affected by the honest reactions of the characters in the story, especially those of Evalle who usually keeps her feelings private. There is also much going on in Quinn and Tzader's lives, and Ms. Love kept upping the stress they had to go through.
The Belador series has been a favorite since its launch, and though lots of background is scattered throughout the fifth book, it would be advisable to have read the preceding stories to fully understand all that takes place and why. A fascinating world has been created for all the intriguing beings featured in the series, and many of those whom I hold dear appear in the latest book, along with some rather nasty enemies. Evalle has constantly battled the Medb and even certain individuals who should be her ally, and those struggles continue to be a daily challenge. She has always tried to do what a Belador would think is right, and having someone special in her life gives her extra incentive to keep the world safe. The complex relationship Evalle has with Storm is repeatedly put to the test, yet nothing can diminish the passion between them. A hint of what is to come in the next book makes me want it very soon. Dianna Love makes every second of DEMON STORM enthrallingly believable.
WITCHLOCK – Book 6
If power-hungry beings ever try to take over the world, then I really hope there is a group of fighters who can stop these foes with their skills and a little luck. Evalle and her friends have been continuously battling for the good side in every book of the urban fantasy Belador series, and these warriors have looked out for their comrades while facing death in each story. Between perilous situations and torturous emotional issues, stressful lives are the norm for Evalle and her colleagues. But nothing will keep them from doing all they can to make certain the innocent are defended. WITCHLOCK is the sixth book in the compelling Belador series, and once again the jeopardy to mankind rises to unparalleled heights. Dianna Love never ceases to amaze when it comes to imaginative originality.
The risks Evalle and those who fight with her often have to take are very hazardous, and the author frequently exposes them to threats no human could survive. I held my breath numerous times because I never knew how a battle would turn out, as nothing is assured in the precarious world where the Beladors live with dogged adversaries. This remarkable author repeatedly leaves you wondering if there truly are happenings on earth of which we are not aware, as scenes come across as exceedingly convincing. Urban fantasies by Dianna Love are about possibilities brought to life with fascinating details. Regardless of whether Evalle and her friends are in a physical conflict or the confrontation is only verbal, no one ever gives in because of concern for themselves.
Dianna Love cleverly interweaves any incidents with poignant moments, which makes WITCHLOCK equally action-packed and emotional. For Evalle, being in a relationship is totally new to her. Though she has had a few close acquaintances, like Quinn and Tzader, never has she willingly shared her days and nights with someone. Storm does bring her great joy, yet his constant worry for her feels too much like control, something she wants no one to have over her. As they struggle to be happy together, one challenge after another pops up and adds to their daily trials as a couple. While Evalle and Storm are having their own problems, it seems most of her friends are also experiencing troubles of their own. While some of the predicaments are worked out in the story, other burdens still have a long way to go before being resolved. WITCHLOCK is an engaging journey of danger and personal feelings.
TRISTAN’S ESCAPE – Novella 6.5
A trip to the Belador world is made extra special with it being the Christmas season, but doing a good deed during the holidays may turn disastrous if everything does not work out as planned. The hero of this compelling Urban Fantasy novella has been met in prior books, but his heart’s desire has not been explored until now. Dianna Love has definitely created a captivating storyline for Tristan, and the choices he ends up making proves there is a good reason I had already come to really like the intriguing man despite his apparent bad temperament. TRISTAN’S ESCAPE has daring adventures that give insight into the Belador series.
With Tristan believing the human woman for whom he deeply cared had betrayed him, he has never again let anyone get close except his sister. Mac thinks she has been deceived by all the men in her life, so she does not fully trust any males who come into her life. When these two run across each other again, the spark is still there even though their feelings are very conflicted. Ms. Love takes this couple through a journey of discovery where the truth can either bring them much joy or distress. Tristan knows the existence of his kind must be kept secret, but if he refuses to acknowledge his Alterant capabilities, then neither he nor Mac may survive. Watching him decide what is most important had my anxiety level mounting with each new threat.
Dianna Love cleverly makes the Belador series constantly original, and extraordinary describes the believable escapades in TRISTAN’S ESCAPE. The potent longing between Tristan and Mac only grows stronger as they spend time together, and their desire is conveyed with open honesty. Since Mac is human, lots of surprises are in store for her when she is introduced to the Belador world. I thought her reactions were genuine, especially since she already had an interest in the supernatural. There is some humor at times in the form of colorful banter plus some witty expressions to lighten the mood. Though numerous details about the series are provided during the latest installment, reading the previous books would definitely enhance your understanding of how this story contributes to the ongoing plot.
Really enjoyed reading this box set. Kept my interest and couldn't stop reading. Highly recommend reading if you like paranormal reading. Looking forward to reading more.
