A slow and disjointed conclusion to a series that ran out of steam a few volumes back when they sidelined their most interesting character. The remaining characters whine, mope, and still try to encourage each other as they race for a cure against the deadline of a nuclear option to wipe out the zombie threat. I should care, but can't, as they just complete a full circle on their journey.
A zombie story hits differently after living through a pandemic. The parallels between Covid and the zombie apocalypse presented here are easy to see, and that's what makes the hopeful ending of this series feel so much more important than it might have before. To be honest, I didn't expect this series to end so well, but it's reassuring. The zombies come, the unexpected happens, but somehow, we end up all right.
The ending was very fast-paced and things happened very conveniently but then that was how most of the series was. I enjoyed it enough I guess but I never really cared that much for any of the characters and the plot was a little too predicable for me. I would probably give this series a 6/6.5 stars out of 10 as it isn't bad but it didn't grip me enough to earn 7 or above. It's odd as I watched the anime when it came out in 2015 and I remember enjoying that a lot more.
I’ve never read a volume of manga quicker then this one, my heart was pumping! I’m satisfied with the ending and without spoiling it, it’s the way I had hoped.
This was such a perfect, emotional, realistic end for this series. I love that there is a 'happy' ending, even though it's still bleak that everyone has to live with what they went through and years later, nothing is up and running like it once was. Where every character ended up was sweet and made sense for each of their characters as well. The conversation between Miki and Kurumi on the roof was incredibly intense and meaningful and stands out as one of the most emotional moments in a series full of them. I loved reading this series and will definitely be rewatching the anime as well!

Sure, the ending is a little rushed and convenient, and the time skip means that we don't have to deal with any of the dirty parts of the aftermath. But I still thought it was a very satisfying way to end the series, and it didn't leave the world in an overly clean and idealistic position, even if it is a happy ending. Overall, I really liked this series, loved the characters, and hated the fanservice.
Really no idea when I read this, apparently I totally forgot to add this to my list. I read it sometime in 2020.... but no clue when. XD In this book, the final one! I am sad that the series is ending, it was coming I know, but there is still things I want to see. So yeah, I would have liked to see a more conclusive ending. Maybe one day I will re-read it and then I will write a longer review.
The ending felt rushed! Like there was supposed to be another volume but they changed their mind and just lengthen this volume to bring to an end. Great ending, awesome and amazing ending. Even though it was never explained what Megu-Nee blamed herself for about Yuki....unless I missed it.....or Yuki's memory or imagination. Great volume though, even though it felt rushed!
I'm going to review all the volumes of this manga for convenience. For me, it's wholesome and one of the best zombie-themed manga I've read so far. I'm thankful to my boyfriend for recommending it to me. I like the characters—their differences and how they support each other. I remember finishing it in November 2024.
