Sweet!

Molly was a reporter. Well, she felt like she could be, if only the men around her could recognize it. They relegated her to the position of secretary and never acknowledged her reporting skills, even when she took over for one of them when they were unable to finish their article. When the story of tne children in Idaho who were asking Santa to give them a new mother came across the te!egraph lines, she convinced her boss to let her go to Idaho to research and write an article about how the family managed. Molly was soon enveloped in reading the barrage of letters that came from dozens of women offering to fill the position of wife and mother to the family. She didn't bargain on falling in love with the children herself. When the week was over and time for leaving came, Molly opened the Christmas gift from the children just befotre getting on the train. Why did the mittens remind her so much of the tiny ones in her mystery ornament box?
Another fun read in this series! I love seeing the different takes authors have on the central theme of Ms Santa gifts of love!

I really loved A Cozy Mitten Christmas. Rarely do I shed tears over a story. With the emotions turned on, I did. A lonely father. Children who need a mother. A disappointed writer. Add all those together and a beautiful story emerges.

A Cozy Mitten Christmas

This is a short but sweet and refreshing Christmas story. I recommend it highly. Molly is an orphan struggling to be a writer in New York but her boss sees her as only a secretary and no matter how many articles she writes gives her no bylines. After noticing a story of four children asking Father Christmas for a mother for Christmas, Molly convinces her boss that she is the best person to tell the story. Nathan is a widower who has no desire to remarry after his wife’s passing; but his four children need a mother. Molly shows up and the family dynamics change. The problem is that Molly will be leaving for New York when her job there is done. Will they be able to convince her to stay?

The last person they expected?

This is s really sweet story that will tug on the heartstrings and if Nathan and Molly don't steal your heart then the gorgeous Emma, Susan, Forrest and Harry will!
A story of hope, of growth and of finding love in the last place you expect to.
A lovely addition to the Ornamental Match Maker series, which is available on Kindle Unlimited, there are a number of typos/incorrect words which is frustrating, for example 'save journey' rather than 'safe journey'. But other than that a sweet christmas read.

I really enjoyed Molly and Nathan's story. A story about two people so far apart in life style. A man who is not afraid to step up and raise his children after losing his wife, and Molly who so wants to make a name for herself as a journalist. Will they realize what they could have together before it is too late? Can a mitten ornament be the key for their future happiness? A must read. Will pull you in and captivate you with the wonderful children in the story! I highly recommend this book.

Molly who wants to be a journalist but didn’t really get that chance, discovered a story about 4 children who had sent a request to Santa Claus for a mother. She took the train to help that family to find one. Nathan wasn’t looking for a wife but maybe he has found her without looking.
This is a fun sweet enjoyable holiday story. It has all the right ingredients, a sweet girl, adorable children and a handsome man.

A sweet Christmas Story you will enjoy. It is a short read and I finished in one afternoon. Molly Griffith is a secretary working for a important New York newspaper. She has wanted to be a reporter for a long time. She is often used to tweak and finish the work of one of the male reporters, but she never gets any credit or a by-line from it. Being a woman in a man's world her chances to succeed seems to be out of her grasp.

Of course, this story has a happy ending!

In the period this story was written, of course men would think that women could be nothing but subservient secretaries. Molly was smart to get out of New York where nothing could ever advanced her career.
She fit perfectly in with this family of children and a young father. And they all wanted her there. This is a great holiday story full of love and warmth.

So loved this story, I couldn't put it down!!!

Christine Sterling is such an awesome writer. Loved the way she weaved the story together. Because of the nature of the story, I would recommend it for Teenagers and YA too.
When the children write a letter to Father Christmas a newspaper publishes it. Oh my, read for yourself what happens next.

The premise was cute, but this did not work for me. It did not make sense that the news paper would pay for this trip. There was not much connection between the H and h other than finding each other attractive. The editing errors were also distracting. Regale instead of relegate for instance. Will try the author again.

Missing Mom

This series has been so much fun to read and A Cozy Mitten Christmas is no different. Molly is a sweet, driven character who I found myself cheering for from the beginning. The Parker children are so wonderfully written it made me want to be their mom. This is a delightful, heartwarming story.

short and sweet

It was a cute story and nice and short, yet still complete. I do wish there was an epilogue or something with the children’s reaction to the ending but otherwise it was good.
