Chemistry is my love language.

I’ve always been able to separate feelings from chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin—and bam. You’re in love.

And when egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant.

I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened.

When: approximately five weeks ago.
Who: one night stand.
How: prophylactic malfunction.

The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate.

Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and dominant. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen.

And the whole package is wrapped up in a flawlessly tailored suit.

I’m having this baby, and he insists we’re well-suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage.

But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry.

And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.

I was the kid who stayed inside to read.

As a four-eyed nerd with a bad perm, I was no one’s dodgeball pick, but I had a lot of friends. Frodo and Bilbo, for instance. Kristy, Stacey, Claudia and the gang (iykyk). Once, in the third grade, I wrote a teen murder mystery inspired by Christopher Pike. On solving my mystery in twelve pages, I decided I was a terrible writer and should never, ever do that again.

Fortunately, I didn’t take my own advice.

I write romance for that feeling you get at the end, like you’re standing on top of a mountain with a backpack full of hundred dollar bills. I write romcoms because is there anything better than banter and grand gestures? I write because I love to create and I love words. I love books, and I love stretching my imagination. I love love, and if you do too, bring your coffee and have a seat. I think we’re gonna be friends.

If ever there was a man who was my exact match, my most perfect equal, it was Theo.
I am a bit obsessed with these Red Lipstick Coalition books Staci Hart has been putting out, and I was equal parts sad and excited to read this one. Sad, because it's an ending to this group I love so much, and excited, because THEO and KATHERINE! I am so in love with this couple and this book. Accidental pregnancy, a swoony and amazing hero, a stubborn and analytical heroine- it was perfect.

Katherine and Theo meet through Amelia (Katherine's best friend) and Tommy (Theo's twin) when they all go out dancing one night. It is very unlike Katherine, but something about Theo (his pheromones, perhaps?) draw her to him. They end up having one amazing and passion filled night together. Theo tries after that to get in touch with Katherine, but she's not having it. Until she shows up at his door weeks later. Pregnant.

Theo and Katherine are both excited and nervous about this, and decide to co-parent together. Theo wants to be there every step of the way. He wants to be the father he never had. Theo is all in and wants Katherine to live with him so he can be near the baby. Katherine is a bit stubborn and it takes some encouragement from Theo to get her to move in, I mean, how much easier would it be if they cohabited? As friends and partners of course... But these two couldn't stay away from each other if they tried. Katherine is okay with that, as long as she follows her rules. She doesn't believe in love and doesn't want things to be complicated, but at the same time she wants the very best for her baby and she can't seem to stay away from Theo.
Feelings were false, brain chemicals and triggered dendrites. Love wasn’t real. It was a series of chemosignals that one became addicted to. Nothing more. There was no magic to love. Because magic didn’t exist. Not for me. But partnership did.

These two are completely magnetic together. Theo is the best of the best. He's the sweetest, most patient, and exactly the type of partner Katherine needed. Now Katherine, there were moments I wanted to scream at her to open her eyes! But I understood why she was that way, and once she opened up, she was wide open. I loved these two together. I was also happy to see some of the other characters from this series I love so much!

Give me all the Staci Hart rom-com books forever and ever. This series has made me giddy and happy and I've straight up fallen in love with all of these books. Last year, 'Player' made it on to my top favorites list of the year. I have no doubt that both of the Bane's brothers books will be on it this year! If you haven't checked out this series, what are you waiting for? This book is funny, sweet, smart, sexy, and heartwarming. I adored it and couldn't recommend it more!!!

When romance is still alive, Theo knows how to bring the best of Katherine in this persuasive romance filled with passion, emotional intelligence, and unique characters... Staci knows how write a true romance that will have you shedding tears of laughter and love...

This year, I became a true fan of Staci's writing. And there is no denying that this series has a great part in my heart. A special place in my heart that will forever be in love with Theo and Katherine. If I am being honest, I actually did not read the synopsis of this novel so I just dove right in and this was a choice that I will not regret. I loved everything about Theo and Katherine, they are this adorable couple that have so much in common. Making them just a goofy couple, yet an ideal one that will have you wanting to read more of their love story. A love story that has two characters that bring the best of everything together, and there is no denying their true love is meant to be. Especially after finding out that they will be parents together, Katherine knows that putting feelings to the side is important because she does not want to get attached to Theo if he does know feel the same way that she does. However, it's Theo that has these strong feelings towards Katherine from the moment he saw her. And knowing that he is this soft romantic makes me drool for more of Theo and the love and affection he has for her;
"We'd had a total of four hook-ups, including the first. And each one had gotten progressively more difficult to ignore or forget. I'd hoped I would get the urge out of my system, but instead, I wanted to slither over to him and slide my hands into his pants so I could..."

First of all, Katherine? She is officially one of my favorite characters and I adore the candor side of her that does not back down from speaking the truth. And there is Theodore, this handsome, elegant gentleman whom wants to spend as much time as he can with Katherine and make her fall in love with him because the affection he has towards her is just so adorable and his actions make me tear up because of the aww aspect, and the care he has towards Katherine and their child.

After setting rules when living together, Katherine's guarding wall breaks because she cannot control how her body and mind react towards Theo. After spending time with him she opens up to him emotionally, and he embraces her in every way. That tender side of Theo is what drew me to keep reading more of their story, and it will keep you as a reader entertained for more as well. Overall, this is the last installment in this series that will have you satisfied and happy with its ending. Thank you so much to Staci for finalizing this series with a great, fantastic, and beyond brilliant and emotional story. Looking forward to her next series!

5 The Best Series Stars
* * * * * Spoiler Free
We all know all of the sayings out there...and yes, they are Cliches but there is a reason why they keep being said...Because somehow there seems to be a universal sense of understanding of what they mean. Some may be cheesy or sound out of date...Hey, they have been around for generations after all... But most importantly, these Cliches ring true...(see how I did that, hahahahahaha)

Like "There is a Lid for Every Pot" or They seem "Well Suited". You know what these mean...
The first, that there is someone who is a perfect fit out there for everyone...and Well Suited means the couple works well together. Staci Hart took these ideas and ran with them. She created people who may have seemed at first glance would never seem like a match...but once we started to see how their thought processes synced, it became oh so clear...These two were definitely well suited.

All of Katherine's college friends and past roommates have found their person.
Katherine is the last of the four still living in the brownstone they once shared. She is fiercely independent and is a librarian at the NYC 5th Avenue library. She loves order, systems, facts and the satisfaction of having things under control. She is not an emotional person and likes her alone time.

All of this stems from her childhood experience with her parents. If you looked for an example for an over the top Hippie lifestyle, Katherine's parents would fit the bill. For as long as Katherine can remember, she never felt as if she belonged with them. As soon as she was old enough, she was more like the parent then the child. This skewed Katherine's idea of marriage and love. She didn't believe in any of it, at least not for her.

Theo is a man who always wanted to have a whole family of his own. His father left his mother causing her to work multiple jobs to take care of her twin boys. Teddy, Theo's brother was the daredevil while Theo took on the maintenance of the home. He learned how to cook and help lookout for all the shenanigans Teddy got into. As they grew into men, their mother became ill. The brothers were very protective of her and when Teddy's writing career took off, the family decided to present a different picture of their lives. They didn't want their mother's privacy invaded. Teddy became the focus on social media, Theo became the manager and controlled all of the events. With the writing a success, these men were able to make the mother's life easier and Theo made sure everything fell into place for all of them.

When Teddy fell hard for Amelia, Katherine's best friend and roommate, a group gathering took place. All of the roommates and their guys went Swing dancing. From the first contact, electricity was in the air. Katherine sensed something very different about Theo. As someone who can seem blunt and direct, she did not hesitate and shared her theory of the chemicals humans share when attracted to one another...Perking up to how Katherine was feeling in his arms while he swung her around, Theo agreed with Katherine's observations. Most importantly, to Theo, she was Kate... His Kate.

They share a night of amazing passion. Intense, different from anything Kate has ever experienced and for Theo, this was something special. It was so special he wanted to pursue Kate. He wanted a chance with her. Katherine was having none of it. For five weeks, she left his texts unanswered, his calls going to voice mail.

Until she found herself holding a plastic stick showing a plus sign. With determination, Kate worked out the numbers, figured out she could do this on her own. There was comfort with a plan. She knew she needed to share the news with Theo, however. Whatever his reaction, she knew her plan and was settled with it.

When Kate approaches Theo and tells him the news, Theo is all in. He has always wanted the opportunity to be a dad like he never had. He also listened to Kate and how she was not interested in any relationship, any romance or anything which would be a path with this news. Theo took everything in and made his decision; he would play a waiting game. He would be there for Kate anyway she needed. He would not push or scare her. He would follow her lead with a plan of his own...

For Theo knew, Kate was meant to be his...

I loved this book HARDCORE. I loved everything about it. I was there for Kate and understood all of her concerns, her fears, and new feelings. She was everything and her arc was a journey of discovery with all of the new rushes of love for a child and man but also with the setbacks real life can have.

And Please May I Have a Theo for Me...This man... so good, so caring and understanding of what worked for Kate. He was real which means he was perfect in that imperfect way a human can be. His love for Kate, his mother, and brother was a thing of beauty.

I could go on and on about this book, There wasn't a missed step. We go through the pregnancy, the way their relationship develops.
Those who have had a baby will relate to all of the changes your body goes through, how even scents can throw you off, and how there is such a thing called pregnancy brain. It was as if I was pregnant again.

After finishing this book, I searched to see what else I had read of Staci Hart. I was stunned that I had only read the books from this series. Staci Hart has taken me on a fantastic journey with these amazing women and the men who fall for them. I could not have been happier and will be recommending them and her to everyone.

In Piece of Work, we met Red Lipstick Coalition...
Four women who connected and bonded during college...
Each was unique and wonderful...

In the first book, we had a taste of each woman...
Their personalities, quirks, and secret wishes...

Well, that is not exactly correct...

Because one from this group has been more of a secret...
She was there in each book, assisting and giving quirky, dry advice...

But we didn't know why she was the way she was...
And our curiosity was peaked during the last entry of this series...

So get prepared, be ready...
Because Katherine's story is coming...
And with all we know, it will be...

It's been a long time since a series had me feeling so sad that it was over, but with the Red Lipstick Coalition girls it was so easy to feel connected to them. And now that it's over I just want to go back and start all over again with their stories.

Katherine was a straight-laced heroine that was more for rule following than rule breaking. Which was the opposite of Theo who would rather break many rules with Katherine. I loved that these characters weren't completely different but they each had their own quirks that kind of set them apart, which is also what made them so cute together. And Theo was so swoon worthy when he just knew right in the beginning of the book that he wanted Katherine but he let her set the pace of their relationship. He waited for her to finally be in the right place to take a chance on him before he pushed for more and honestly it was one of the sexiest things about him.

This book, and this series, is my favorite from this author so far but I know she's going to have even more brilliant stories to come so I can't wait for more. If you haven't read any of these stories they are hugely recommended by me and don't need to be read in order so you can start with any of the books.

Love/hate this story. 3.5 stars.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have to say I am surprised but I have mixed feelings about the new release I reviewed. I know I am going to be one of the few that will not give top stars. I started at 3, but due to some areas I did love, I am bumping to a 4 with and overall of 3.5.
Have you ever read a book where you did not care for one of the main characters? It is rare for me as I can usually find some redeeming qualities but this chick... nope.
She (I’m not even going to say her name!) is ridged and only cares about her feelings and beliefs. No one else’s, including her weird parents. She is hurtful to Theo who only wanted to love and care for her. He opened his life and heart for her and she trampled on it all. Then at the end she figured it all out and we are supposed to be happy. Nope.
This book ticked me off more than once. However, it does contain some amazingly well written love scenes that will take your breath away. Hart definitely knocked it out on the romance scenes. So hot with deep emotion. Sigh.
Overall I am wholeheartedly team Theo and honestly, in real life, I don’t think they would make it. I don’t feel they are Well Suited at all. Ish on her!
this was painful. it felt like i was slogging through the longest book ever and i hadn’t even made it to 10%🙃
the clinical and robotic way the heroine spoke was so fake infuriating. it was so manufactured and stilted. you can make someone sound intelligent without it sounding so forced.
seriously, you’re on a night out, would ya fuck off with the science language. no one really talks like that ffs. i mean, she calls sex with the H “a transaction”🙄 and later tells the him when she’s pregnant ”I am fully capable of raising the embryo on my own.”
what the fuck. an embryo??? if you’re calling it an embryo, i highly doubt you’re capable of raising it my gal.
but just imagine you’re trying to get drunk, having a good time, dancing and laughing with your friends, and one lass is being a gobshite in your ear, giving you a Ted Talk? let me drink my pina colada in peace.
“Lip contact engages five of twelve total cranial nerves.”
“They know when to open and close gates for pheromones, how to detect chemosignals from another human and make decisions based on them. Adrenaline. Oxytocin. Dopamine. Before we know anything about each other, there’s a level of compatibility that can be determined simply by smell.”
“Something about the way you smell, the way you move, makes me salivate.”
“Did you know that lips are the most exposed erogenous zone we possess?”
then the insta-love/obsession of the hero was boring. like at least give me SOME build up. they literally don’t know each other and he’s so in love and obsessed, and tells her they should live together now she’s pregnant, ahem, i mean “cohabitate” according to the h.
let me breathe, sir💀
Apparently, I have read one other book by this author. I didn't recall that I had, so I know already that she's not someone I put on a top 20 list of authors. One of those one-off type of situations.
This book is no diff. I'd give it somewhere between a 3 - 3.5 star. The concept is intriguing - the heroine is one of my fave "types" - the awkward, socially dysfunctional sort. She probably has a bit of an autism spectrum disorder. One of my fave heroines from another series has Asperger's. I also like male leads who are like this.
So I was ready to get into the story. Unfortunately it fell flat. There was no real connection apart from instant physical attraction. I contrast it with Dark Pleasures (Pure/ Dark Ones #4) by Aja James where it's also an awkward heroine with instant attraction to the Hero, and it's totally night and day. Where you feel the sizzle and chemistry (both physical AND emotional), I felt nothing here. It was stilted. It was like reading an instruction manual.
I also never really connected to the Hero. He was just meh. Patient and understanding and etc. Great looking with a great body, but not a whole lot of personality beyond that.
Don't think I will read books by this author again. I def won't recall this book after a few days (or even hours)
Well this book is indeed well suited to my taste. This is the second book that I read in this series. Pregnant romanceis not really my favorite. However with Well Suited, it gives a different angle to the story.
Theo and Katherine are match in heaven. They just do not know it yet. I especially love Katherine. She is quirky and controlling character. Something that I can relate to. Theo has such patience to wait for her to fall in love.
Their character development and banters are so sweet and cute. Really cute.
Overall I do enjoy this book very much.
“His name was on my lips, written on my heart, etched on my soul. I’d never believed in fate, never subscribed to soul mates. But if ever there was a man who was my exact match, my most perfect equal, it was Theo.”
For anyone who has followed my reviews over the years, it will come as no surprise when I say Staci Hart is one of my favorite authors and RLC is one of my all-time favorite series to date. Knowing Well Suited is the final installment in the RLC series, it is certainly bittersweet to see the ending to this group I have grown to love so much. Like all Staci’s books in the past, I positively devoured this one, Katherine and Theo were probably my favorite couple to date and I am a huge sucker for the accidental pregnancy trope. It was just everything I had hoped it would be and more.
Katherine was positively amazing; I loved every aspect of her persona. I can’t even tell you how many times I had to stop reading because I was laughing hysterically, the words were becoming blurry from my tears and I therefore had to stop because I didn’t want to miss a thing. One of the things I loved about Kate is her randomness. I love random people who spill lots of random facts, so she was definitely my kind of heroine. While this is Katherine’s story in all it’s glory, it was great to meet up with the other girls from the previous RLC books too.
After spending one night filled with unbridled passion and lust, Theo and Katherine go their separate ways, well from no fault of Theo. Katherine is an extremely intelligent and independent woman who has walls built up around her to guard her heart. She doesn’t believe in love, only facts and logic. The more I got to know Katherine, the more I understood why she is the way she is and I really started to feel bad for her.
“You’re different, and every difference you have, I admire. Everything you consider difficult and inflexible, I understand. We’re very much alike, you and me.”
“I know. But… Theo, you could have a girl who’s beautiful and charming like you. You could have someone who would complement you, make you shine brighter.”
“Well, that’s the trick, Kate….
I don’t want anyone but you.”
Theo is the perfect hero and he could not be any more perfect for Katherine. He is smart, sophisticated, but also very down to earth, sweet, caring and open to the prospects of something more with Kate, she just needs to break down her walls and open her heart and her mind to Theo. His feelings for Kate run deep and his patience towards her were nothing short of inspiring. He was just utter perfection.
One of the things I loved most about Theo, was his ability to step up and take responsibility for his actions. When Katherine shows up weeks after their hot night together and shares the news of their impending baby, he never once backs down and wants to be there every step of the way. He is a true hero in every sense of the word and he has the ability to make any girl week in the knees.
This book was just everything to me and more, I’m so sad to see the RLC series end, but I am so happy it went out with an absolute bang. Well Suited was funny, sweet, heartwarming and just so beautiful. Theo and Kate came together in the most unexpected way, but as their relationship and feelings developed a lot more, it was clear how well they really were suited for one another. I finished it with the biggest smile on my face and it just made me so happy. I can not recommend this story enough, it was the most phenomenal romcom, definitely worthy of being one clicked today.
4.5 'Theo is magic' Stars!
ARC provided by the author via Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review.
Wow, I can’t believe this is the conclusion of this series. I fell in love with Staci Hart’s writing when I first read Piece of Work (the first installment of standalones) and I just knew this love would continue throughout my reading of the rest of the books. I fell in love with these characters, this group of girl friends and the men who become their soul mates. We’ve been waiting for Kate and Theo’s story since we saw a sneak peek of what they would become in Work in Progress and let me tell you, the wait was worth it.
Well Suited is live today and, as I said, this is the last installment in the Red Lipstick Coalition series. It’s now time for Katherine Lawson and Theodore Bane to get their happy ending. Kate likes her life, her job, her rules and she does not enjoy changes. Well, that is inevitable now that her three friends have found their soul mates and even more when she discovers she is pregnant from the unique night she shared with the man she has been avoiding since then. And Theo is not having it, he felt the connection between him and Kate and he is about to turn her life upside down. For the better!
“You are an anomaly in my universe, and ignoring that fact is a testament to my devotion. I won’t break the rules. But I hope you do.”
Damn him. Damned hormones. Damned heart, pitter-pattering without my consent.
Gah, this whole series made my heart so very happy! I’ve fallen in love with Staci’s works and writing, her beautiful characters, the way she develops love stories and the mind-blowing chemistry between her couples. Of course, as you can imagine, Theo and Kate are no exception. They just work together. Oh so well! Their connection is impossible to ignore and that grows even bigger when they decide to have the baby. This romantic comedy just clicked with me and my tastes in romance. This couple is amazing and their chemistry so stunning. I loved them together and I am so glad they found each other and they got their happy ending together with their beautiful baby. I am not ready to say goodbye to all these wonderful characters!
I’d happily spend the rest of my days making sure she was happy. Because my reward was her. It was my family. It was my child and our future.
Therefore, my rating for Well Suited is 4.5 STARS because it was exactly what I expected from Staci and I loved how she worked on these unique characters and their love story. Kate and Theo killed me with their banter, moments and their chemistry. I loved them as a couple and as new parents. I am also so sad to say goodbye to Rin, Court, Val, Sam, Amelia, Tommy and, of course, Kate and Theo. I wish we got a longer ending with all of them but I enjoyed it as it was obviously. Again, congratulations to Staci Hart for this outstanding series! Guys, if you still haven’t read these books, please trust me and go read them!
Boy oh boy, Katherine was so not prepared for Theo! He was blown away from the first moment they met. Theo completely understood how Katherine's mind worked and laid siege with a gentle assault. He didn't try to change her, but accepted her for all her quirks and knew that she was going to be his family. Katherine never expected to have a partner, especially a partner that didn't try to change her. They were very Well Suited and I loved every minute. SO sad that this is the last of the Red Lipstick Coalition!
4 ⭐'s
I was excited to finally read the uptight and super organized Katherine's book. I couldn't wait to read about who could make her let her hair down.
And I loved that it was Theo (Tommy's brother)...nice to keep things in the family.
Katherine and Theo have one hot night together and Theo wants more...only Katherine does not. Fortunately, she gets pregnant and has to have some type of relationship with Theo and Theo is totally onboard.
I LOVED reading about Theo getting Katherine (or should I say Kate!) to loosen up and to just really get to know her. And as he does get to know her, it becomes very obvious as to why she is the way she is.
Theo has his own hang-ups but they're settled in a much more physical way. I didn't like the tension between Tommy and Theo but I did like how they worked it out. However, I would've loved more of the twin thing.
There's plenty of drama and plenty of "chemistry". Thank goodness, Theo hung in there because the ending was amazing.
It was also great getting updates on the other couples. I quite enjoyed this series and I'm sad that it's over.
Can we just take a minute here and bask in the glory that is Staci Hart's wonderful, romantic, and poetic writing? You can’t read the quote above and say you didn't just swoon all over the place…you just can’t!
𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 by Staci Hart was a stunning, entertaining, and absolutely magical romance that I devoured oh so quickly. My plan was to take my time, savor it, and appreciate it wholeheartedly, but like all of Staci's love stories, taking my time…it just wasn't in the cards. The minute these amazing character’s voices resonated in my mind, I was a complete goner. I needed that happily ever after like I needed my next breath, and nothing was going to deter me from that epic journey.
The long awaited, and the long dreaded final book in the inspiring 𝘙𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘪𝘱𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘊𝘰𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 series is about friendship, family, and learning how to love with everything you have in you. It’s about a man who falls so fiercely in love with a woman, that he will do anything to adapt, to have the patience needed to wait for her love in return. Theo and Katherine are hands down, my favorite Staci Hart couple to date! I can't even with these two! It’s such a unique, but powerful sort of bond that they developed, and I can’t even stop thinking about it. The more I think about it, the more I know that this may be 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫! I have this tremendous and exhilarating feeling every single time I think about Katherine and Theo's happily ever after. All I want to do is drop everything and experience it for the very first time ALL OVER AGAIN! When you have those feelings the very second you get to THE END…well, that’s when you know you just experienced something truly special.
"I could have lost myself in his eyes, like a black hole. He'd stretch me to infinity, and I'd die happy."
THIS. BOOK. *thud* Okay, I can't be the only one who had been waiting for Katherine's book ever since we were first introduced to the girls in Piece of Work. Right? RIGHT? I mean, she's HILARIOUS. Her dry sense of humor hooked me, and I always found myself drawn to her in the other books when the girls were all together. Val is my soul sister, and Amelia is my little bookworm twin, but Katherine was NOTHING like me -- which, in turn, made me give Staci Hart all the grabby hands for her story.
And man, I was BLOWN AWAY when I finally got it.
"Love is no more real than mood rings, and marriage is a trap that ends in divorce."
Katherine is intelligent. She's studied. She's well-read. And for that reason, she doesn't believe in love or marriage or any of the shenanigans that go along with it. After all, she knows all the chemistry behind "love," and she knows first hand from watching her parents that it's just a big mess waiting to happen if you give into those chemicals and mistake them for actual magic.
But, how can she -- or ANYONE -- say no to Theo?
We met Theo's twin, Tommy, in Work in Progress. And I LOVE Tommy. Truly. I'm obsessed. But Theo?
DEAR BABY JESUS JUST LET *me* HAVE HIS BABY IF KATHERINE DOESN'T WANT TO. lol!
Seriously, this man sees Katherine and has one night with her and he just KNOWS. And to me, that's the sexiest thing in a book boyfriend. I love when the connection is instant and even at the avoidance of the heroine, the Hero is like IMMA GETCHA. Lol!
So, Katherine and Theo go home together the first night they meet for an epic romp in the sack. Katherine doesn't call Theo after... not for months...
Not until she shows up at his door with the announcement that they're having a baby.
And then, the hilarity ensues.
She just wants a "partner," someone to raise the baby with WITHOUT all the feels involved. But Theo? He wants more. SO MUCH MORE. And through a sneaky mind game, he wiggles his way into Katherine's heart.
But, push the girl who doesn't feel too hard and you just might lose her altogether.
"What do we do now?"
I glanced at her over my shoulder. "You don't have to do anything. It's me who has to figure out how to stop loving you."
MY POOR HEART.
Well Suited is the perfect ending to Staci Hart's most spectacular series to date. It's fresh, smart as hell, and so devastatingly real and raw that I don't think anyone can escape without a few tears shed. To Katherine, science is simple: A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin = love. And to me, these characters + unexpected pregnancy + Staci Hart's brilliant writing = this spring's best romantic comedy. Well Suited isn't just a must READ, it's a must BREATHE -- a must devour, a must sigh and hug to your chest and think about long after the last page has been turned. Five witty and romantic stars. This series will stay with me forever. #RLCForLife
Katherine is the sensible friend, the last one to even think about applying her RLC red lipstick and being bold, but when life stops going as planned the lipstick, and a bit of bravery, might be the only way to get back on track. Theo shook up her senses on night, but that was all he was meant to be, one night. One night has turned into 9 months though and pragmatic Theo, in his well tailored suits and endless patience, has an offer for her. Theo sees Kate, the girl behind the lists, the books, and the rock solid plan, he sees the lover and knows its up to him to bring it out in her, to give her the best partnership he can. He knows he can be a father to this baby and the best man for Katherine "not Kate," especially when that tempting red lipstick is on. They've got chemistry and they've got emotions, but they're views may not be well-suited.
"I should have realized right then that I was doomed, damned. But the novelty of her, the unexpected intrigue, the sheer sight and smell of her were too alluring to resist."
Katherine, who from here on out we shall call Kate, has had the best quips through out the Red Lipstick Coalition series novels, but despite knowing she's an all facts kind of girl I still wasn't prepared for her. She's the kind of no-nonsense girl with a wall 10 foot wall between her and anyone else, so thank heavens Theo is a tall man willing to scale it. She likes her books, she likes the explanation science can give her for everything, and she likes Theo despite her best intentions not to. Theo is quite a bit more charming than his brother, Tommy, who you might remember from Work in Progress, but he's also ten times more serious. He's always in a suit, he manages money well, and somehow he even manages to show Kate he's the guy to trust with the direction they'll take this partnership they're forming for their upcoming child. He's also the man who cooks, who offers the sun and moon, and who believes in love in the innocent way a child does. They may not be well-suited on paper, but my word I love when these two clash together.
"Emotions were exhausting, and I had no practical use for them. But Theo inspired extreme emotions in me."
I am the most anti-baby romance reader ever, so it says a lot that I fell head over in heels in love with Theo and Kate. I had my fears, I've read plenty of bla-cliche versions of oops-baby drama, but this was nothing like that. There wasn't an oops feeling, there was excitement and sensibility, there was realistic tension and worries and fears. The romance, sure it was wanted and the fire burning between these two is always flickering, but there was a very realistic approach to an upcoming baby from Theo and Kate and I so appreciated Staci Hart giving us that story first. I love love loved their co-parenting approach and I appreciated Theo's sneaky way of using that to get just a little bit closer to the serious Kate. Plus, I had no idea how much humor could be put into a story about babies and practical partnership. Theo and Kate give us those swoony moments too and soon I was loudly (actually out-loud) begging Kate to give into the emotions she doesn't understand.
"'We do so solemnly swear,' she recited, 'to use this shiny little tube of power to inspire braveness, boldness, and courage. We promise to jump when it's scary, to stand tall when we want to hide, to scream our truth instead of whisper our fears. may we be mistresses of our destinies, and to hell with anyone who tries to tell us otherwise.'"
*cryinggggggg*
Well Suited is the final novel in the Red Lipstick Coalition series and it has been such a pleasure spending time with these four best friends. Commonsense Kate, bookworm Amelia, awkward Val, and shy Rin have been each others protection for so long, but a pact to wear a shade of bold red lipstick has brought to them each newfound confidence, bravery, and the men they never thought they'd find. I have loved this series, I have felt like one of the girls at various points in my life, and in these books I have found a comfortable home. Putting my lipstick on alongside Kate as she faced her fears of emotions and relationships was such a joy and while I'm sad to see this series go, I am ever so thankful Staci Hart gave it to us in the first place.
"Because I'd known from the moment I first kissed her that this was it. She was it. It was irrational, illogical and imperative. And that she was pregnant only solidified what I'd only had an impulse of on that night, the first night when everything changed.
She was mine, and I was hers. It was an undeniable fact."
Çok şükür ki şu kitabı bulmuşum ve okumuşum. Yaşasın Goodreads ve onun 24 New and Upcoming Romantic Comedies to Fall for listesi.
Daha önce söyledim mi bilmiyorum, ama ben yaz mevsiminden nefret ederim. Onun o insanı leş gibi terleten, uyutmayan, bunaltan ve kendinden bıktıran sıcağından nefret ederim. Havanın geç kararması, gün ışığının fazlalığı ve güzelliği de bir yere kadar bunu tolere etmeme yardım ediyor ama asla açık kapanmıyor. Ve gün içerisinde bıkkınlık veren ağır sıcak yüzünden hemen hemen istediğim hiçbir şeyi yapmadan bütün günlerimi yatarak ve telefonda/bilgisayarda gezerken geçiriyorum.
İşte yine böyle leş sıcak bir günde, üstelik jürime 10 gün kalmışken ama gerçeklerle yüzleşip ders çalışmayı ertelemek için goodreadste gezinirken news bölümünde bu haberi gördüm ve sırf romantik komedi oldukları için tıkladım. Çünkü genelde news bölümüne hiç bakmam ama romantik komedi kelimeleri benim aklımı çelmeye yeter. Her zaman.
Listedeki çoğu kitap ilgimi çekmiş ve tbr listeme de eklemiştim ama o zaman bu kitaplardan sadece birkaçı çoktan yayınlanmıştı ve bu yüzden sadece onların epubını bulmuş, sonra da aralarından en çok dikkatimi çeken bu kitap olduğu için de hemen başlamıştım. Aslında sadece biraz göz atıp çıkmayı planlıyordum ama hem dersten kaçma içgüdüm hem de Theo'nun tatlılığı birleşince bırakamadım ve sanırım o iki gün içerisinde-aslında gece başladığım için 1- kitabın yarısını okudum. Ama daha sonra finallerimi ve jüri gerçeğini es geçemeyeceğim bir noktaya gelince bırakıp jüriden sonra devam etmeye karar verdim. Ve jüri gününden bir hafta sonra da devam edip bitirdim.
Ee bir haftada anca kendime gelebiliyorum, maalesef jdfkskfh
Öncelikle şunu söyleyeyim, bayağı uzun zamandır romantik komedi okumamıştım ve zaten bayağı uzun zamandır kitap bitirmiyordum. 'Başlıyorum, sonra yarım bırakıyorum, sonra başka kitaba başlıyorum ve sonra onu da yarım bırakıyorum, bırakmak istemediklerimde de araya vakit giriyor ve sonra dönmek istemiyorum' gibi bir döngüye girmiştim ama artık yeter. Hem bu okuyamama durumundan çok sıkıldım hem de yılın yarısına geldik sevgili dostlar, silkinip reading challenge'ı toparlama zamanı!
Ayrıca çok uzun zamandır yorum yazmamanın baskısı var üzerimde, hadi hayırlısı.
"There had been no moment to pinpoint, no lightning bolt of realization. It had grown like ivy-in slow tendrils and unfurling leaves, day by day, hour by hour. It had been happening since the first time I laid eyes on her, in every minute spent with her, in every breath and heartbeat between us.
I loved her."
Theodore Bane, bence okuduğum en kibar ve en sevgisine inanan karakterlerden biriydi. Kate'e ilk tanıştıkları geceden beri ilgi duymuş ve tam üç hafta boyunca ona ulaşmaya çalışmış, bütün bu süreç boyunca görmezden gelinmesine rağmen Kate evine geldiğinde onu aynı ilgiyle karşılamıştı. Üstelik Kate ona hamile kaldığını söylediğinde de çoğu insanın düşüneceği ve söyleceği cümlelerden hiçbirisini kurmamış, onları düşünmemişti bile. Kate açıklamasını bitirir bitirmez hamileliğin ve hamilelikten sonrasının her anında onunla olmak istediğini, hiçbir detayı kaçırmak istemediğini açıkça belirtmişti. Çünkü hem bebeğe, baba olacağı fikrine hem de Kate'e olan ilgisi gerçekti.
Beraber yaşamaya başlamadan önce birbirlerini daha iyi tanımak için geçirdikleri o ilk zamanlarda bile Kate'e olan ilgisi açıkça belliydi ve bunu göstermekten de geri durmuyordu. Ama bunları, Kate'in aşk ve ilişkiler konusundaki rasyonel, akıl ve mantığa sığmayan hiçbir şeyi kabul etmeyen, insanlarla samimi olmayı bile sevmeyen ve her şeyi akıl çerçevesine oturtarak yaşayan, aşkın kimyasal bir reaksiyondan fazlası olmadığını düşünen ve buna gerçekten inanan yapısını göz önünde bulundurarak, onun zorlanıp korkmasını ya da iyice uzaklaşmasını engellemeye çalışarak yavaş adımlarla yaptı. Asla zorlamadı ve onun o anda veremeyeceği bir şeyi istemedi ondan. Ama ona olan ilgisini, aralarındaki çekimi ve bunun gözardı edilemeyecek bir şey olduğunu, sadece bir tutkudan ibaret olmadıklarını ve hamile olsun ya da olmasın, bütün bu duyguların tanıştıkları ilk geceden beri aralarında olduğunu yavaş yavaş aktardı Kate'e. Sözleriyle, davranışlarıyla, bakışlarıyla ve dokunuşlarıyla Kate'in bariyerlerini yavaş yavaş yıkıp ona ulaştı. Kate'i, bir insanı sevmenin sadece kimyasal reaksiyonlarla, kan bağlarıyla ve beraber geçirilen zamanla açıklanamayacağına, aşkın gerçekten varolduğuna inandırdı. Bütün bunları da aşık olduğu kıza sırf onu korkutmamak için ona aşık olduğunu bile söyleyemeyerek, onun da kendisine olan duygularını fark edip aşık olmasını bekleyerek, sabırla yaptı.
Ve bütün bunların ışığında sadece Kate'in değil, benim de kalbimi çaldı.
"I should have been offended- I was no one's but my own. But I wasn't offended at all. I wanted to be his. I wanted him to own me with the respect and care he'd always shown me.
I wanted to be his, and I wanted him to be mine."
Katherine-with-a-K-not-Katie-or-Kat için hayatın sistemi çok basitti. Onun için her şeyin bilimsel bir açıklaması ve koyduğu kurallarla daimi bir düzen içerisinde, her şeyin planladığı gibi ilerlediği bir hayatı vardı. Diğer insanların inandığının aksine duyguların bile bilimsel olduğuna, kimyasal tepkimelerden öteye geçemediklerine inanıyor, hayatını da buna göre yaşıyordu. Ama Theo ile tanıştıkları gece ona duyduğu ilginin tehlikeli olduğunu hissetmiş ve bundan kurtulabilmek için tam 3 hafta boyunca ona ulaşmaya çalışan adamı görmezden gelmişti. Ta ki hamilelik testinde iki çizgiyi görene kadar.
Theo ile konuştuktan ve ne yapacaklarını, beraber yaşamayı ve bebeğin her anında beraber olmayı planladıktan sonra içine girdikleri durum onu korkutmuş ve gerilmesine, endişelenmesine yol açmıştı çünkü kontrol altına alamayacağı bir sürece girmişlerdi. Kurallarına ve planlarına göre yaşayan, bunlara sadık kalan bir insan olarak tanımadığı insanlarla yaşayacağı fikri bile ödünü patlatmış, üstelik Theo'ya karşı hissettikleri de onun daha çok rahatsız olmasına yol açmıştı. Her şeyi tekrar rayına oturtabilmek için oturup kurallar koymuş, hamileliğine ve nasıl ilerleyeceklerine dair her şeyi planlamıştı. Ama Theo'nun bu kuralları tek tek yıkacağını, onun kendi kurallarından nefret etmesini ve aslında onları ortadan kaldıranın kendisi olmasını sağlayacağını hiç düşünmemişti. Hisleri yoğunlaştıkça, Theo olmadan yapamayacağını ve onu her zaman yanında istediğini fark ettikçe ilişkilerinin ilerlemesini kabul etmiş, hem duygularını hem düşüncelerini çok daha rahat şekilde Theo'ya açmış ve aralarındaki ilişkinin ikisinden birisini inciteceğine olan korkusu azalmıştı, daha sonra da tamamen yok olmuştu. Theo'ya olan aşkınn farkına vardığında ise bunu içinde tutmamış, engellemeye çalışmamış ve anında dışarıya vurmuş, ona aşık olan ve aynı karşılığı asla alamayacağını düşündüğü için kalbi kırılmış adama, ona en başından beri aşık olduğunu, sadece bunu fark edemediğini açıkça söylemiş ve aralarındaki bütün engelleri ortadan kaldırmıştı.
Theo'nun bu itirafla nasıl mutlu olduğunu ve bunun beni nasıl mutlu ettiğini size anlatamam.
"I wish it could be like this forever," I said softly, breathing the words, giving them life. Forever was what I wanted, and I wanted it with him. Just like this.
"It can," he said. "It will, Kate. I promise you that."
And he sealed the promise with a kiss.
Ama bana kalırsa, ki asla yargılamıyorum ve aynı şeyleri düşündüğüm için onu tamamen anlayarak söylüyorum bunu, Kate'in tek sorunu aşka inanmayışı ve bu yüzden Theo'ya duyduğu hislerinin aşk olduğunu, karşısındaki adamın ona aşık olduğunu fark edememesi ve eğer bir ilişkileri olursa, ikisinden birisinin diğerini kesinlikle inciteceğine olan inancıydı. Bütün kuralları kendi isteğiyle kaldırdıktan ve Theo'nun sonsuza kadar onunla beraber olmasını istediğini kabul ettikten sonra bile aşık olduğunun farkında değildi. Sadece hayattaki perfect-matchini bulduğunu düşünüyordu. Onu tamamen anladığım için de kitabın birkaç yeri dışında davranışlarını fazla mantıklı bulduğum noktalar olmadı. Ve kitabın bir noktası dışında da ona hiç kızmadım. Ve o da öyle bir noktaydı ki, gerçeği göremediği için Theo'nun kalbinin parçalanmasına, aralarındaki ilişkinin ikisinin de istemediği bir yere sürüklenmesine sebep olmuş, benim kalbimi de kırmıştı.
"If I had my way, we'd have our happy ending. I was gonna marry that girl one day. Someday."
Bunun dışında kurguda ya da karakterlerde sorun olarak gördüğüm bir nokta yoktu. Sadece kitabın genelinde hakim olmamasına rağmen neden takım elbise göndermesinin yapıldığını anlamadım ama bu beni hiç rahatsız bile etmiyor çünkü zaten ufak bir iki noktada geçiyor. Yani rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim ki mükemmel bir kitaptı. Birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri, Theo'nun sürekli Kate'e takılması, beraber geçirdikleri zamanlar, bebekleri hakkında yaptıkları sohbetler, epilog bölümü... Mükemmeldi.
"That, and I don't feel like you're a stranger at all."
"But I am," she insisted.
I shrugged my shoulder as I slipped a hand into her hair. Her stubborn little jaw rested in the curve of my palm.
"Technically, yes."
"There's no other way but technically."
"Oh, there is. And when you figure it out, I think you'll marry me."
Bir de şunu söyleyeyim, bu tür kitap kapaklarına -çizim ağırlıklı- tamamım ama keşke bu kitabın kapağını biraz daha çabalayarak daha güzel yapsaymışlar. Çünkü çok daha güzel olabilirdi ve Theo aşkım da hep en iyisini hak ediyor.
"Wear that lipstick. I want you in it when we... scratch. And that'll be my cue."
Ne diyeyim, Allah herkese bir Theodore Bane versin.
The anticipation for Well Suited was REAL after I finished Work in Progress (which was amazing). Katherine is the fourth and final girl in this Red Lipstick Coalition girl group, and I just KNEW she’d end up with Theo, the previous hero’s brother. Even better, theirs is an accidental pregnancy romance. I normally am not a fan of romances where a surprise baby is thrown in the middle of a book to further the plot, but thankfully this is different. We know about the pregnancy from the beginning, and we’re along for the ride with Katherine and Theo as they navigate their way towards parenthood, with love and romance along the way.
Katherine is different. She’s very analytical and logical, and sees love as something to do with brain chemicals. Which is why when Theo enters her life, she doesn’t understand why he makes her think and feel differently than normal. He makes her want, so she gives in for one night… which unexpectedly leaves her knocked up.
I could be her everything. She was already becoming mine.
Theo has wanted Katherine from the moment he met her, and being around her makes him even more certain that she’s the one woman meant for him. Her getting pregnant couldn’t make him happier, since this is his chance to show Kate that they’re meant to be together. And boy, does Theo turn up the swoon dial! He is SO sweet, sexy, kind, understanding, and considerate of Kate. He really was the perfect man for her.
I couldn’t get enough of Well Suited. It was a hot, fun read that left me with a smile on my face by the end. I adored Theo and Kate together, and of course I loved seeing the Red Lipstick Coalition gang again. If you want a series about a group of strong, independent women, you definitely need to read this series!
4 STARS
I'm so, so sad this series has now come to an end. I've absolutely adored this group of friends ever since meeting them in Piece of Work (book one).
There's something so empowering and fun about seeing four wallflowers come into their own as they fall in love with their forever men. Rin, Val, Amelia and Kate have become some of my favorite female characters I've had the pleasure of reading about, and I'd love to hang out with them, alas they're not real. Le sigh.
One of my all times favorite Historical Romance series is the Wallflowers by Lisa Kleypas, and this series is like the modern version of it. Four girls who are confident in some areas of their lives but less so in love all buy the same shade of red lipstick and promise each other that when one of them wears the lipstick, she'll be confident and fearless and empowered and will go after what she wants. Uhm, hello? Just like the best premise I ever did hear. Move over Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, this is so much better.
This series has it all: office romance, hate to love, fake boyfriend, friends to lovers, arranged marriage, surprise pregnancy. Basically, all the best tropes!
Well Suited was another hit for me, especially because surprise pregnancy is a guilty pleasure trope of mine. And for that to happened to KATE of all people? Freaking genius 🤣👏🏻
She's such a unique character, full of super dry humour and random facts. What can I say, I just love quirky characters.
We first meet Theo in Work in Progress (book three) seeing as he's Tommy's twin, and I already had the hots for him in that book (I can never say no to a man in a suit) so I was suuuuper intrigued when I learned HE would be the one who'd make the infamous Katherine fall in love.
Turns out, they really are perfect for each other. I loved his tenderness and care towards Kate, they were super cute together.
And of course, it's always fun to get a little inside look on what the other couples have been up to. 🤗
I'd say the drama is fairly low in this book (as is the case in pretty much all the books in this series) so if you're looking for a feel good romance that'll make you laugh and swoon and leave you full of girl-power energy, I definitely suggest you pick up this series!
You know that feeling you get when you finish an incredible book? You see the percentage, you know it’s coming, but you do your damndest to drag it out because you’re not ready for it to be over.
Staci absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark with this one. It’s fresh, it’s real, it had me in my feels and I never wanted this story to end! Well Suited is a five star must-read that guarantees a special place in your heart.
”Every step, every box checked, every marker passed had brought us closer to something bigger, something more. It’d brought us closer to us, to the place where we could be together fully. And, if I played my cards right, maybe forever.”
I can’t believe this series has come to an end! And WHAT AN END IT WAS!
I’ve never met a couple that just ebbed and flowed so seamlessly without even trying to. Like LEGIT not even trying to. They’re the couple that’s there for one another bc they care about the well being of one another and the situation they found themselves in and then it just turned into like this entity that surrounded them that no one could penetrate. GAH!
Katherine and Theo just shut the house down. I’ve never met a heroine like Katherine and I fell so in love with her. And don’t even get me started on Theo. Theo is the BEES KNEES this man.
Well Suited is the book that’ll gracefully catch you in a net of swoon and feels so gracefully you’ll barely feel it. And GOD was it the best fall of my life. Thank you Staci!
I love this book so much.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review
Katherine is smart, beautiful and guarded. She’s closed off to love after seeing first hand what can happen in relationships she knows it can be one big mess. Although a little irritating you end up loving her
Theo is gorgeous and a TWIN, a twin people. We meet his twin in Tommy in Work In Progress and now we get the lovely Theo. From the very first meeting between him and Katherine he just KNOWS. The connection is instant and he knows what he wants.
How does a woman closed off from love and a man wanting more work? Well you just have to read this beauty to see if it does end up working
Staci Hart never fails to write books that book you in and Well Suited definitely hooks you. You’ll be captivated from beginning to end and never want it to stop.
Well Suited is a fun and emotional read. A little heartbreaking and a lot fun and the perfect ending to the perfect series.
As much as I hate to say goodby to the RLC, this was the perfect way to end it!
I was waiting for Katherine’s story from the moment we met her and it did not disappoint. I love how her brilliant mind works and this author did an amazing job at writing her in a way that was relatable. She is so unique. I have never read another book with a character like her and I LOVED it!
Theo was so dang amazing! He understood exactly how Katherine worked, how she thought, and what she needed before she even did. I love that he completely accepted her how she was and never once tried to change her. She may be a little quirky but he loved her deeply regardless.
I love all of the characters in this world and I recommend you read them all. This one is amazing but so are the other three stories. These characters are extremely relatable, unique, and I know I could be best friends with all of the girls. Don’t miss out on the Red Lipstick Coalition!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
After reading this book, I think we can all agree that we want Theodore Bane to be our baby daddy. The man who’d be over the moon to claim being your partner in life, the man who’d do just about anything to make you happy and feel every single ounce of love and passion he has for you.
I was hers, and I’d do anything to make her mine. And lucky for both of us, I never failed.
Theo absolutely made me swoon so hard—no doubt about that—although Katherine might’ve been a bit of an odd ball on top of being incredibly smart and rigid. She was very logical and stern when it came to her rules and what she believed. But these two couldn’t be a more perfect match for one another. They understood and got each other on a level that no one else could. They had chemistry that just ran wild and sparked so bright from the very beginning. And it was only amplified by the fact that they were having a baby together.
I’d never believed in fate, never subscribed to soul mates. But if ever there was a man who was my exact match, my most perfect equal, it was Theo.
I can’t believe that we’ve reached the end of the line for the Red Lipstick Coalition. This series—the journey these four fierce and very relatable ladies has taken us on—has been nothing but an unforgettable adventure. It’s definitely bittersweet to say goodbye, but having Theo and Katherine close this series was truly the icing on the cake. We’ve waited for this moment and damn was it utterly worth it.
“She smelled like rain and fresh-cut flowers, like desire and unspoken promises. She smelled like my last meal, like a color I’d never seen before. Like a sense I hadn’t known I had was awakened simply by the proximity of my lips to her skin.”
“You make me feel like I’ve been starving my whole life, and I thought my deprivation was just the way life was. That living in a constant cycle of exhaustion and retreat was just how relationships worked. That’s the best I can explain it–I was starving, and you are a feast. You even engage my salivary glands.”
“A truth that had been right there, right in front of me all along. His name on my lips, written on my heart, etched on my soul. I’d never believed in fate, never subscribed to soul mates. But if ever there was a man who was my exact match, my most perfect equal, it was Theo. And if that wasn’t love, I didn’t know what was. That word was defined by his existence.”
Beautiful, angsty and just freakin perfect is how I would describe Well Suited. Well Suited is the kind of book that begs to be devoured and will give you all the feels.
Well Suited is the fourth book in the Red Lipsitck Coalition and follows the story of Theo and Katherine. Right off the bat, I was captivated by these two. They couldn’t be more different if they tried, but their chemistry was way off the charts. I just knew they’d be explosive together and I was not disappointed. Theo and Katherine shared one perfect night together and if Katherine had it her way, that would be all there was, but fate had other plans for these two. In a matter of moments, two blue lines will turn Katherine and Theo’s world upside down. It’s terrifying. It’s scary. It could be hands down the best thing to ever happen to these two…
Well Suited is an emotional and heartwarming romance that just tugs at your heartstings. Katherine likes her life to be filled with order and rules. She likes her space and rarely lets anyone get close to her. She is strong and fiercely independent. Theo is her complete opposite. When it comes to love, Theo wants it all. His perfect match, his soul mate, the one that fate intended. But, Katherine doesn’t believe in any of that. Love is a word she doesn’t understand, but if Theo has it his way, she’ll soon discover that being in love is the best possible thing. It won’t be easy conceiving Katherine that there is more to their relationship than the life they’ve created. But, Theo has the patience of a saint and won’t back down from what he wants….
Well Suited was everything that I was looking for and then some. I couldn’t put this book down and even wild horses couldn’t stop me from devouring Theo and Katherine’s story. Their story filled with so much emotion, you could just feel it oozing off the pages. By the time I got to chapter 28, I was a mess. My eyes couldn’t stop tearing up and didn’t stop until I reached the very end. Theo & Katherine were just so perfect for one another and I loved every single second of their story. Staci Hart has certainly outdone herself with Well Suited. I laughed. I swooned. I raged. I teared up. I am so full of emotion and am just loving every single second of it. It was such a joy to get lost in these characters. To see them grow and change as the story went on. To see them fall in love and fight for what they wanted. The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for Theo and Katherine, but the journey was so worth it.
Well Suited is the last book in the Red Lipstick Coalition series and it feels like the ending to my favorite show (which is also coming) What is life? 😭 For I digress! The Red Lipstick Coalition series 💄 features four brilliant yet very different women brought together by friendship and a tube of red lipstick that makes them bold. The conclusion of the series comes with Katherine and Theodore's book.
Beginning with a dance, Katherine is immediately attracted to Theodore and his pheromones as she cannot resist smelling him like a cupcake sniffer 🤣.
Katherine is endearing and pragmatic. She's just... Different. Intelligent and quirky. Theo makes her reckless. Thoughtless. Daring! She feels like she has no control when she's with him while he sees Katherine's true potential all along.
Theo is the protector. He's the one who takes care of everyone. He doesn't do relationships, however, it only took one night for him to fall for Katherine. He loves calling her Kate because he knows it will annoy her, but also because her fight lessens the more he does call her that.
Together these two were magical. Their chemistry was off the charts. Theo loves to hear her ramble off random facts and trivia, and Kate knows she doesn't need to feel embarrassed or watch what she says around him. Two opposites who started their relationship backwards. Their one night of passion leads to Katherine being pregnant and she's absolutely terrified, while Theo embraces it. With time Kate loosens up and let's go of most of her rules. From there, things definitely get interesting.
Staci Hart gives readers a glance of all the beloved characters. She's an author I've been reading for a few years now and is an amazing human being who is beyond talented. Well Suited is a wonderful end to an unforgettable series! Sweet, sexy, witty and with the perfect touch of angst Staci is known to give us. I highly recommend this series!
