We finally bring things full circle with the fourth novella in this series, which indirectly asks the question if linking all four novels together would imply the title of the story if presented as a single book might be "Heir Honor"? I kid.
Things start off a little weird as we are introduced to new POV characters within the Collective instead of continuing to follow our "main" characters from the past few novellas. But Stackpole manages to get us deep into things soon enough including some disturbing brainwashing being done to one of the characters, but that's the way these things go.
When all the familiar faces come back into play, it all falls together and really makes sense. Ivan does in fact have a plan for reclaiming his world despite the time table moving up given the capture of his sister by Collective forces. One could argue that things came together a little too conveniently, but it still works for the story format.
A decent conclusion to the Battletech novella series. The plot was rather predictable, but the sudden twists at the end seemed out of left field. The politics of revolution and counter revolution were more interesting than the Battletech combat.
