Saki Hiwatari (日渡早紀 in Japanese) is a Japanese shōjo manga artist. Her first work, "Mahōtsukai wa Shitteiru" was published in the weekly shōjo anthology Hana to Yume in 1982.

There was some questionable/gross plot stuff in the first third of the book...Without spoiling I would have preferred that part of the storyline (throughout the series) to have gone in a different direction. Other than that, this volume picks up the pace again with some twists in the modern day part of the story.
