I made all the vegetarian recipes in this cookbook and overall really liked it. The recipes seemed creative, thoughtful and well tested. The sunset salad was so delicious. The beet burgers were fantastic when made with Impossible instead of cow. The Thai salad was easy to make in the food processor. The cookies did not work out for me but I didn’t follow the recipe so that is on me. The only fail was the jalapeño hush puppies. Had to throw those out. Easy to make and texture was great but the flavor was spit out awful. Methinks a full Tbsp of onion powder was all wrong. Maybe my onion powder is of poor quality but it just ruined the recipe. I’ll make again and omit the onion and garlic powder and create another spice option. Overall, creative recipes and I avoided the meat, coconut oil and coconut sugar recipes. All wellness influencers must be sponsored by coconut sugar companies because that is their go to sweetener and I refuse to buy it. I’m not convinced it is healthier and we know meat and coconut oil aren’t healthy.

the premise of building healthy habits with people is awesome; the haughty recipes are not. when i got to the section labeled "fancy food" i was baffled because the previous 200-ish pages had already been exactly that.

I own a lot of cookbooks and this one is definitely one of my favorites. One of my favorite parts about it is how every recipe is set up to make two servings which is perfect whether you just live with one other person or alone cause you don’t feel like you’re wasting food by making so much.

You can tell through every recipe and description that Liz is very passionate about health and food which also comes across through the ingredients and taste of all the recipes. I’ve probably made around 50% of the recipes in here which says a lot and every recipe in here has some unique spin on it, is approachable and tastes delicious. Some of favorites are the chicken pot pie, the meatballs with mashed parsnip, zucchini noodle pad see ew, falafel flatbread, actually delicious green detox soup and so many more.

All in all I highly recommend this book if you want approachable delicious healthy recipes.

Since the New Year we have completely transformed our eating (& drinking) habits, and this cookbook was a huge help in the process. We have made multiple recipes, and a few of our faves are: Way More Veggies Bolegnese, Go-To Chilaquiles, Crispy Roasted BBQ-Chip Chickpeas, General Tso's Cauliflower & the Harissa Chicken. Super tasty guide to eating better in order to feel better! We made only minor adjustments with seasonings, but the recipes are flexible in that way. Liz Moody is a delight in this light hearted cookbook...I've even started following her on Instagram & she responds!! She is super personable & REAL! She offers a refreshing & less restrictive take on living a healthier lifestyle. THANK YOU!

Always love great food photography in cookbooks.
I liked her philosophy of eating healthier with others - food is so much a community and culture-building thing. It's always more fun making and enjoying food with others. It's nice how the recipes can be divvied up if you're cooking in person with a partner, but I also quite often am cooking just for myself so I love 2 serving sized recipes.
I also liked how she emphasized throughout that it's more about balance, it's not about eliminating or restricting something "unhealthy" if it's something you enjoy:
"What you do regularly matters far more than what you do occasionally."

I originally found Liz on Instagram and fell in love with her authenticity and vulnerability, which then led me to buy her cookbook, Healthier Together. I love Liz’s approach to food. She makes healthy food taste delicious and I appreciate that she does not restrict foods and instead incorporates tons of veggies and healthier alternatives. All of the recipes that I’ve tried so far are easy to follow along and so delicious. Highly recommend if you want some new and creative recipe ideas!

These recipes are DELICIOUS. I love the layout of the book too, instead of specific meals (appetizers, main, etc.) it’s broken into quick & cheap, adventurous, comfort foods, etc so you can pick a recipe based on the time and ingredients you have, and what sounds good to you in the moment. I also love that no matter which recipe you choose, it will fuel your body. Can’t recommend it enough!

I really enjoy her philosophy and focus on quality of ingredients and their benefits for overall health. I also enjoy following her on social media, she has a very positive and forward thinking approach to healthier eating without sacrifice.

I made the "Way More Veggies Bolognese." The recipe was simple and SO delicious. Chopping the veggies was the most difficult part -- my knife skills are awful. I also made "The Best Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookie" and I still can't believe they're gluten free. They taste amazing! I'm going to slowly make my way through this cook book. It's definitely my go-to right now.

Love Liz & this cookbook. I've probably made 50% of the recipes in here, which is a record for me and a cookbook! I modify them a lot because I don't care about being grain or dairy free, and I don't have access to a wide variety of flour options, but they taste great regardless.

I’ve gone through no small number of cookbooks recently and this one used up all the bookmarks I had. Some of her combinations I had never encountered before and was excited to add to my collection: Parsnip Steaks, Falafel Flatbread, a vegetarian English Skillet Bake!

I love this book whether I’m cooking with my partner or on my own! It’s beautiful to look at and I’ve had success with the recipes. Favorites include: broccoli rice tabbouleh, the Mexican enchilada bake, healthyish orange chicken, and the chicken tikka masala. Yum yum!

I adore Liz Moody (her Healthier Together Podcast is a must) and this book does not disappoint! Liz focuses on flavor and function (as in does an ingredient help your body function). I’ve tried several recipes all great (I especially recommend the cheddar chive biscuits) and I’m eager to try more.

Liz’s writing is so lovely (yes, I know that she is/was a food writer). The recipes are really approachable and not too challenging! I love how the book is organized (like better than take out ) and that it’s servings for 2! The cast iron pizza has my heart soaring for more!

There were some irresistible-looking recipes in this book - especially in the dessert and snack categories - that I'm planning to try. Great to have these mostly gluten- and dairy-free recipes that look and taste delicious. No need to feel deprived. And they looked fairly easy to put together so wouldn't be intimidating for a beginner.

The concept of cooking together is nice - whether it be with your spouse, roommate, friend, or even a parent. This makes cooking fun and the author asserts that eating together probably encourages you to eat healthier if you're eating with a partner. I thought author Liz Moody emphasized the healthy aspects of certain foods and spices more than I cared about, but it didn't detract from the book at all.

We have loved everything we have tried from Moody's cookbook. These are the sort of recipes you would find when eating at your local coop, so if that isn't your jam this might not be for you.

I highly recommend the Turmeric-Tahini Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Spiced Sweet Potato Lentils, Broccoli Rice Tabbouleh with Lemon & Dill, and the Kombucha-Miso Massaged Kale Salad with Spicy Quinoa.
