The climax and ending to the Coronzon arc took many unexpected turns, with Hamazura temporarily betraying everyone to bring Dion Fortune back to life, Anna Sprengel unexpectedly appearing to manipulate the events, the reveal that Aiwass only brought Lilith back as a pure soul so that she could be sacrificed to defeat Coronzon, Accelerator's fight with Nepthys where he grew platinum wings and created an entirely new magic tree with the help of Qliphah Puzzle 545 and the Misaka Network, and the final showdown between Crowley and Coronzon. It all fit together very well. Every part of it had emotional weight.
This is the 3rd thing I have given an 11/10, maybe I rate things too highly, but it should show how much I love this series.

You may want to highlight what you want about a war, but when it comes to human individualism that attracts selfishness, what would be the result of that in a deadly and macro battle that is war? The answer is unpredictable, as is everything that will happen in it... Having established that, we are willing to betray our morals, paradigms and even ourselves in search of a conclusion influenced by despair. Perhaps that's why so many contracts and alliances between enemies have been made throughout this volume. Toaru is the type of series that, as much as it preaches the gift of forgiveness and the second attempt, as much as it tends to seem surreal, it's the logical configurations and that touch human complexity that make this series very well crafted.

The main problem in trying to portray the state of war is the narrative, since it is in a world state, so without much political and social depth, it ends up becoming something very shallow. Kamachii understands this and constantly explores these points, which often turns out to be tedious, but it is these complex little games that make the game of chess well done, as it is at the expense of thinking and waiting that tactical moves are actually made. . Returning to the metaphor, let's say that the flow of information here becomes a game of chess, where each move causes a visible piece to move, while the invisible future of the pieces appears in the player's strategy. It's something well done and makes paying attention to the information really worthwhile.

Leaving for a bit personal comments, I think up to this point many are angry with Hamazura, but I understand his actions so far... It could have been the simplest empathy that served as a fire for him to feed his selfish desires and see him holding back between right and wrong like an animal ready to die was very profound to see.

AND......

Dammit dammit dammit! So some hints about IT and Touman himself have finally arrived? I was a little annoyed about how Touma complained about his ignorance of IT, but didn't ask the silver girl in front of him (actually, there are a few reasons that stopped him, so I decided not to be annoyed by it, as it still does sense). It reminds me of what WW3 was like when IT really came out. Exploring this in NT right in the final arc was a lot of fun, especially with some terms shifted from NT18 that make for a very pleasurable mental explosion, which is a great request for a masochist like me who loves to bang my head on certain mysteries.

As a closing comment, the ending disappointed me a little... We had some good plot twists and such, but Touma's little participation here irritated me and the narrative regarding his appearance was not as good or philosophical as in the previous book. At least following the magic system was very interesting, even though writing becomes a bit tedious when repeating information for a long time. In fact, the way the Aeons were configured in each volume, and how the magical mysticism expanded, made the magical content of this volume insane!. Unlike the previous volume that the three heroes symbolized the world, with Hamazura wanting to run away from it, Accelerator trying to fight him and Touma saving the world, here I really couldn't understand the meaning, but I'll leave this interpretation to others. I ended up expecting a little more from the final volume than the quality actually delivered, but maybe it was just some misinterpretation on my part that prevented me from enjoying the volume more or I'm just right, which is very unlikely.

(I expect great things from NT22R, which is hidden around here on goodreads)

EDIT: Fuck, one of the best volumes so far, only losing to NT9, by very little. Very complex, so much so that it took me a while to understand the philosophy of the Aeons for what it was like to be forever, just as Aleister yearned for a family, Aeon of motherhood, Aeon of fatherhood, and the Aeon of inconvenience, all with a very complex philosophy aimed at Aleister Crowley . Touma at the end of this volume gets a great twist about his insanity and despair over the events and final death, proving once again the ABSURD complexity of his character.
