Porny, porny, porny.
Of the three short stories, "Spring Break Fever" was the first and by far my favorite. Extremely steamy, freaking *HOT*, to be honest, ending with the potential for at least some type of continuing relationship. 4 stars.
"Business Class" was also good, but the steam wasn't quite on par with the first story for me; however, it did also end with the potential for "more" for the MC's. 3.5 stars.
The third story, "You", Jesus, I hated, hated, HATED that story, as the author wrote it with the reader actually *being* the primary MC, which I found annoying as hell.
"You" are doing this, "you" are doing that. All in present tense, too. GAH! Just... no. 2 stars, at best.
I'd rate the entirety of the book at around 3.25 stars and recommend the first two stories, if you're looking for some titillating smut between your normal, longer reads.

The third one is like an outlier. It feels more like a study/research of the author in a different writing style and less like a complete story.

At the risk of sounding like a time traveler from the 1940s...hubba hubba! Tal Bauer brought the sexy.
I rarely read erotica, but I'm the type of fangirl to happily read Tal Bauer's to-do list. So here I am.
Aptly titled, His First Time consists of three erotic short stories featuring gay sex virgins. It is smoking, steaming, piping hot. The sex is raw and uninhibited. I found certain snippets unintentionally amusing, but when you compare genitalia to beer cans, I have the maturity of a 13-year-old.
Underlying the smoking, steaming, piping hotness? Genuine emotions. Bauer is a compelling storyteller, and his protagonists articulate such desperation and such relief when they cease denying a fundamental part of themselves. Anyone who has experienced a similar awakening will find these stories affecting.
Although there are no fully-formed romances, there are promises and possibilities of more. It pleased me since I'm aboard the "feelings make sex hotter" train. And I so wouldn'tshriek in delight mind if Bauer revisited these guys in the future.

So Tal Bauer decided to do something completely different: three erotic novellas dealing with a first time, a trope which always turns my crank!
All in all the three stories are hot and pretty erotic. And I enjoyed them. With about 78 pages they are the perfect in-between 'quickie'.
In Spring Break Fever we get a High School kid who has his first on a holiday.
Business Class deals with a supposedly straight guy 'turned' by a good-looking stranger.
You is about the first time of a guy who has been waiting for this for quite a while.
However, I did have some niggles.
.) Vocabulary: the use of 'python', 'monster', 'beast', 'beer-can' dick for a large cock felt a teeny bit off and weird and cringy.
.) In two out of the three stories the guys topping have extra huge cocks. (1/3 would have done me fine! It felt a bit 'repetitive')
.) It did bother me that a lot of bare-backing was going on. These guys have random hook-ups and don't know each other.
.) Admittedly I really have no idea about it, however, it felt a bit unrealistic that all these guys, bottoming for the first time, are total troopers and take those huge cocks just like pros.
.) Insta-lust turns into insta-romance in all three stories.
.) The last story is told in the very strange 2nd person (you) and in Present Tense. Never read anything in that form. I found it odd and I didn't really connect with that story at all.
.) Finally: There is a lot of screaming. LOL. (This may not have been a bad thing!)
So, not sure what to make of this all in all. Yes, the guys were hot, despite the above reservations, but I guess I'm not massively into erotica. This is good fun, so go for it!

I had a feeling Bauer would be as good with Erotica as he is with Romance. Yeah, I was still missing the Romance he does so well, but even without it he was able to bring the heat, passion, and intensity in this first time sexual encounters. From two who have been craving it their whole life to one who hadn't realized until that moment he had attracted to men - or maybe, this one particular man.
Very rarely does just pure erotica do it for me, but if it's written well, I very much enjoy it, and this was written well. Tal Bauer is way too good an author to have released this. Why do I think that? Because I got invested in each and every character and their story...and that sucked because these were all short stories. His writing is such that the characters each have a story, no matter how small they’re written, and that’s what makes you connect. And makes you want more. Sure these were hot and sexy. And some bits were downright porny, but it was definitely top shelf, classy porn. I mean who can complain when each short story comes with a happy ending...and a happy ending.
