An Agent for Rosalie

Rate this book
Her father was gunned down by a ruthless gang. Enraged, Rosalie Addis leaves behind everything she knows, including her fiancé, to become a bounty hunter. She rounds up the members of the gang, one-by-one, until only the elusive leader remains. Hell-bent on vengeance, her heart is not prepared when her betrothed, Paden Brooks, shows up with the tip she's been waiting for. The only catch is that she must marry him.

Paden Brooks has a plan: convince Rosalie to marry him, train her to become a Pinkerton agent, then never let her go! For four years, he's waited for his beloved to return to him. Finally, when a tip arrives at The Pinkerton Detective Agency, he knows this is his chance to bring her home. However, he quickly discovers Rosalie is not the same girl he knew and loved so long ago. Will that alter his plan?

“Whenever I was about to go into a dangerous situation, I always dreamed about kissing you, and it gave me the strength to press forward.” -Rosalie

Beers knocked it out of the park! Not only is this story a fun quick read into the suspense and intrigue of Rosalie’s espionage, but once again, an endearing love story between two estranged childhood sweethearts. Paden, (as is every single male role Beers ever writes) is charming, stalwart, and manly and never gives up going after what he loves-his woman!

This is a great addition to the Pinkerton series! Laura Beers not only always provides a fun storyline full on intrigue, but she is fantastic at the character development, making you feel all they are feeling! I love Paden's undeniable love for Rosalie. And I love that Rosalie is a strong independent woman, that allows herself to be taken care of too!! Wonderful read!

How have I not started this series yet?! I was hooked at female bounty hunter and couldn’t put it down after the way she got her latest bounty. There was no denying that they still loved each other, but her thrust for vengeance stands in the way. I loved how they worked together and understood each other. Even when they didn’t agree on things.

Rosalie was letting hate take over her life and didn’t know it. He came back into her life when she needed him most. I loved that she could handle a gun the way she did and that she was so quick on her feet.

Paden never stopped loving her and was willing to take the risk when he found her. He saw the real her and wasn’t going to give up. I loved when he got her to realize she couldn’t run anymore.

The author sent me this for a review, and these are my honest opinions: I love the Pinkerton series. This had action, loss, and love. Rosalie is hurting from a family loss and is willing to go to extremes to find the killer. Paden a childhood friend and sweetheart is in love with Rosalie and helping her by becoming a Pinkerton agent along with him. They both had great chemistry with one another, which is definitely a plus for me. Story flowed well, and kept my interest. I will definitely be reading more from Laura Beers.

A great read with lots of depth. I really enjoyed the characters especially Rosalie. Rosalie is a strong independent woman who can outwit and out shoot just about anyone she comes up against. I really liked her sass and courage. Paden learns that Rosalie is a force not to be reckoned with, yet she is still a beautiful woman who needs to be loved. This story has lots of action and romance. I really enjoyed the plot and would have to say it’s one of my favorite Pinkerton books yet.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

An Agent for Rosalie captured my attention from page one! Paden and Rosalie have a history together and their chemistry is amazing. I enjoy romance but really love mystery and intrigue to be part of the story line. This book does not disappoint. There were twists and turns that kept me guessing. As these two Pinkerton agents hunt down the man who killed Rosalie's father, the wild west action gets going! Well written, well edited...a clean romance. All of these are important to me. And a happily ever after is a must! You will enjoy Laura Beers latest story.

When her father was killed Rosalie took off to catch the gang four years ago. By doing that she also left Paden, the man she was going to marry. Meanwhile he has become a Pinkerton Agent and still wants to marry her, and he has the key to catch the last one, the gang leader. He came up with a plan but is his Rosalie still the woman he loves or has these four years changed her too much?
Really entertaining story, the getting to know and forcing to work together is fun to read. Enjoyed the banter.

Loved the characters' dynamics

This installment of the Pinkerton Matchmaker series was hilarious and suspenseful. The author's writing style drew me into the story right from the beginning. The main characters had an interesting dynamic between them and the case Rosie and Braden were involved in was plausible and their sleuthing skills believable. I hated to put the book down and wished the book was longer. I highly recommend this book and anything else Laura Beers writes. I am never disappointed by her writing!

Can love compete against vengeance?

Rosie has been alone chasing vengeance for so long that she has forgotten who she was, what it was like to tease with Paden and how much she looked forward to a future and family together. As they investigate it all comes flooding back, making her question her actions, has she allowed vengeance to steel her future and ruin her life? Or will she finally choose Paden and love?
I really enjoyed this book, one of the best of the series, which I read on Kindle Unlimited.

Laura Beers has crafted an intriguing story filled with suspense and romance. Despite being separated by time, distance and a quest for vengeance, Rosalie and Paden are given a second chance at an HEA together. I was hooked from the first sentence to the last sentence rooting for them. An Agent for Rosalie is a wonderful addition to the Pinkerton Matchmaker series. I highly recommend reading An Agent for Rosalie.

Paden and Rosalie

Rosalie's father was killed by a brazen gang of outlaws and she has hinted them for four years as a bounty hunter. Paden was her fiance and after her father was murdered he became a Pinkerton agent. They are now married, as is required by new lady agents, and Paden is her trainer. Will they be able to locate and arrest the remainder of the outlaw gang and rekindle the love they had before?

I thoroughly enjoyed Rosalie, her determination, her skill, her fearlessness, her spunk. She was great! It was a good and adventurous read. A bit let down by the ending, but I guess it was the only way to get the HEA expected.

I loved that Rosalie was a bounty hunter,, so unlike the previous books, she was more skilled than her husband in many ways! I was skeptical of all the other characters though! They all seemed to be hiding something! And why did the deputy only have one name? Is Charlie his first or last name?
