I can honestly say I haven't enjoyed a set of books so much in years! From the Lovely Lane Nurses to The Four Streets are possibly the best books to hook you from the first page to the last.
The humour throughout the hardship of living in one of the poorest parts of England in the 1950s, Liverpool makes me laugh so hard. Along with the Irish grit and hard work.
You can read Lovely Lane Nurses first, then go onto The Four Streets, or the other way around. Each book is a separate story, but each do match up with various characters, so make sure you read them in order.
I fell in love with the Lovely Lane series, but am completely hooked with the Four Streets. The characters are so real, and Nadine Dorries doesn't hold back with the real horror stuff.
Well worth reading!
