This is a pretty good starter on Mexican dishes, if one is curious. There are 120 dishes with pictures for all, and each dish grouping has an introduction. Occasionally there are tips and variations. Some cooking steps have their own pictures, and at the start is some history, central ingredients, and some information on meals and some snacks. Had to look of what purslance and cream of tartar meant *lol*
I'm not a fan of avocado, coriander, or seafood... still found plenty of recipes I would like to try. True, some recipes felt less accessible, with how peppers were prepared, or I wasn't interested in whole chickens. But it was balanced with easier ones that didn't even mean I would have to look for some special ingredients in the shops.
Not listing recipes here, but there was at least four in each group that was attractive. Some were already familiar names, some were nice surprises. Left me feeling a bit hungry! So, basic good stuff to start a journey in this cuisine.
Great recipes for fantastic Mexican foods. Some of them are still too involved for my patience level, but there are great recipes for some very common and popular Mexican dishes, from appetizers to main dishes and even a few desserts.
