This was different from most wolf shifter books I have read, but not bad at all! I enjoyed the roller coaster that was Hunter. His emotions were all over the place, rightfully so after what he had gone through! Ava is a force to be reckoned with.

Alfheim pack Alpha Hunter looses his mate leaving him as a single father struggling to manage both parts of his life as they demand.
Ava, a surgeon from Seattle, has an encounter with a rogue wolf and is forced to stay in the Alphas home until she is cleared to return to her life and career.
Hunter is arrogant and difficult but Ava seems to be drawn to him regardless.

A Fantastic Read! Get your Do Not Disturb sign out because you won't want to put it down!
I don't normally read novellas as I really love longer novels that take me a while to read but this book really grabbed my attention from page 1! Lauren Dawes really has a truly wonderful talent that makes you want to pick up her books and just relax and read! Hunter & Ava's story will draw you in and like I said above Put out your Do Not Disturb sign because once you start you'll want to keep turning the pages to see what will happen!

Hunter may be a short read, but it still packs a punch... drama, romance, and an incredibly stubborn alpha.
What could possibly go wrong?
Lots!
Hunter is so determined his mate was the only woman for him, he does everything he can to push Ava away. Even after his mother puts the woman right under his nose, he still lashes out in anger and frustration. The times we're in Hunter's head, it's like being on a roller coaster with his emotions swinging from one extreme to another as he fights himself and his need for Ava.
A turned wolf, Ava only wanted one thing, to gain control so she could return to her life. She never expected to fall for a growly alpha. Despite her strength of character and her determination, she has her weak moments.
If you like drama, alphas who fight their own instincts, and a happily-ever-after, pick up your copy of Hunter today... you won't be able to put it down.
