Danni Roan, born in rural western Pennsylvania, has always loved the country life. Her first work published under her real name, Paula Liddle-Beem, is a collection of folk essays about childhood in the lush, green mountains of PA. Being a teacher of English and English as a Second Language for the past twelve years has only inspired Danni’s love of writing Western Historical Fiction. After receiving her Masters of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language she determined to indulge her passion for fiction writing. Teaching both in the USA and abroad has exposed Danni to a wide range of people from all walks of life and she tries to capture that unique character in her work.
I just absolutely loved this book from the themed cabin concepts at the beginning to the finished products described in the epilogue and the first chapter of the sequel. Looking forward to the sequel to this. Another great hit Danni!
A simple ornament arrives. A small paintbrush. Gifter is Mr. Claus. What can this have to do with Jamie's new task of getting her Grandmothers old Inn back into shape and into a paying business again. Jamie has gone to school in the Hospitality industry and has big plans for this venture. Her plans include restoring the old Inn and each of the cottages that spread out behind it. Her idea is a different theme for each cottage. They hire a painter to bring this idea to life. A morning collision has Carlos falling off his ladder, and red, white and blue paint from the Fourth of July cottage spilling over the walkway and Jamie. Can first meetings bring lasting joy for these two? There is definitely attraction there. Stemming from both sides. This delightful story abounds with adventure and happiness. You will enjoy the story and the series, The Ornamental Matchmakers. I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.
Such a sweet tale of hope and new beginnings! Carlos has spent the last 10 years with his life on hold but one collision with Jamie and his befuddled heart and head full of dreams have him wondering if there could be more to life than work. Carlos will steal your heart with his quiet words and his searching, hopeful eyes will have your heart melting. Jamie is like a breath of fresh air, she loves her home and has numerous exciting ideas to give the family business new life, meeting Carlos gives her heart new life too. A beautiful romance full of hope, memories and poignant moments, I loved it! I read this and the rest of the series on Kindle Unlimited.
Sometimes young people stay so busy caring for others they don't have time to care for others they miss ❤. Mrs. 🎅to the rescue as she plots a summertime magic. The renovation of an in with themed cabins is central to the plot. The attraction heats up between two talented individuals to sizzle. 🔥You won't want to miss this newest sweet and clean romance in the Ornamental matchmaker series.
Danni Roan is a new author to this avid reader. The Ornamental Match Maker series is a fun holiday read. Danni Roan's short paragraphs with lots of dialog moves the plot along. Enough of the back story is included. Some mystery - who leaves the ornaments, which lead to romance. Delightful summer read with its Michigan resort setting.
Another wonderful addition to the Ornamental Match Maker series. I can't wait to read more from this author and the others in the series. Jamie has big plans for helping her Grandmother fix up the Inn and cabins. Carlos loves his job as a painter and has help from his brother and sister. Follow these two on their journey to romance and love.
A great story filled with wonderful characters. I enjoyed the the story with the cute themed cottages and how descriptive the author was. The romance was fun and had me smiling throughout the book. Such a great book about love, family and legacies.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
This is a fun story that ends too soon. It does come together well; I was just wishing for a bit more. Adding a few paragraphs before the epilogue would be great. The two siblings and babysitting scene added a lot to the story. Gram added lots of humor too. A clean fun story set in the Great Lakes region.
I highly recommend this delightful Christmas story that I could hardly put down until I finished it. You can't help but fall in love with all the characters and want to go for a holiday stay at this lovely Old Inn in the Christmas cottage of course.

I loved the storyline and the ideas of the themes cottages as part of the Inn. The kindness of the in keepers through the years that came back to them. The thoughtfulness of Rose and Anita and their adventure, oh my. A fun, sweet, clean read.
Carlos- painter Jamie- hospitality for her grandmother's inn and helping redesign/facelift the resort I enjoyed reading this engaging story that is well written with charismatic characters. Their story has a wonderful HEA.
I love how this story describes the old inn and the themed cottages. You wish to reserve a cottage for one or two weeks after reading the details. This book is so much fun. I think Carlos and Jamie make a beautiful couple, and I admire Carlos for teaching his siblings a strong work ethic and for always being there for them. Danni Roan did a fantastic job
This is a sweet story! Carlos and Jamie met while Jamie was renovating her grandmother's inn and cottages. With their combined visions, they transformed the place into something truly special, falling in love along the way!
