Slow burn erotica? Yes Please! I’ve got no idea if authors Quin and Perin invented it, but they’ve certainly perfected it.
Bundled into one complete edition, Wanderlust starts off with a bang. The first half of the story focuses on the incredible connection building between Juste and Chase. Quin and Perin truly capture their scorching chemistry, not to mention the thoroughly delicious sex these authors write so well.
Over their week together both men gradually come to realize how special their connection is. Sadly, neither are in a place where they can pursue a relationship. Juste lives in a community where a same-sex couple won’t be tolerated, and Chase has powerful personal issues he needs time to work through.
Six years later Chase returns, full of self confidence and ready to embrace a future with his ideal lover. However, the years have changed Juste as well. While once completely engaged, this bright and vivid man has withdrawn, resigning himself to a lonely life.
The second half of Wanderlust explores how the men react as Chase gently inserts himself back into Juste’s life. It’s incredibly moving to watch the transformation Juste makes as he comes to realize that love and happiness are possible in his future.
Beautifully written, Quin and Perin cleverly alternate between both men’s points-of-view. Continually checking in with each of them provides interesting insight, and adds an additional layer of intimacy as we watch them processes events as they happen.
A blend of tender romance and stunningly erotic sex, Wanderlust is a unique and powerful story which I highly recommend!
a copy of Wanderlust: Complete Bundle was provided by the authors for the purpose of my review
Hm I think this book was okay…I just somehow expected more. Yes it’s a erotica there’s a lot of fucking (hot sexy fucking), but I didn’t feel it…maybe because I didn’t really connected with the characters. I also didn’t quite enjoyed the whole time skip thing and the drama afterwards, wasn’t a bit too much for me. But since I liked the first half and the slow burn was well done, i gonna give it 3⭐️
Juste is a lonesome man and owner of a pub. Chase, traveling, comes in for a drink. Somehow he ends up in Juste’s house and makes himself useful, in exchange for food and a place to sleep.
The temperature increases with the minute, the sexual tension is heavy. When they collapse together it’s everything they both wanted. Fun for the time being. Exploring every possible position and fantasy and then move on. And so it went.
Omg, I almost saw the sun shining on the pink mushrooms head, that’s how vividly it’s al written. The open-mouthed kisses and lapping tongues, gosh I was drooling. When they finished it was like I had run a marathon, I was exhausted and satisfied.
🐾
Soooo, there was the second part... It wouldn’t be a QP read if I didn’t get overwhelmed by all the emotions. My heart ghawd, it cramped at times. I love it that they can bring me to my knees not only because of the dripping heat but also of all the deep emotions.
After all these years Juste isn’t the same anymore. There is a lot of sadness and distrust. Chase desperately tries to dig up the feisty, passionate man he used to know. Watching them from the sideline, see the hurt, was painful. Chase has to convince Juste of his feelings and why it had to go how it did.
The alternating views were awesome done. We get to know how both, hungry, craving, men feel and what they want. The unspoken emotions, the other would never know about, the fear, the hope, the trust, all palpable.
The strength of this writer couple is the vividly way of illustrating a story, vigorous, with the right weight and words at the right time, fast-paced and sharp. Views from various angles, it’s almost as if we are a drone, circling around the men, zooming in and out, different perspectives. It’s all excellent done. I’ve read all their work and there is only one word to describe them ‘Unique’ Or four words if you want ‘One of a kind’
This book contains two parts. Yesterday and six years later. I read the first part that ended abruptly and was kinda pissed at the authors.LOL. Then they're listened to me (and everyone else) to continue the journey of Chase and Juste. Six years later, Chase came back to the small town where Juste live but not really living. Juste lost something, he missed the feeling when he's with Chase. But now Chase came back, what he wants from Juste? Just a fling like before, or more?
Wanderlust is more than an erotic story the authors claimed it. There's more feeling, rejection, frustration, love, hate and passion. Chase need to confince Juste that he wanted a future with him.
I enjoyed Wanderlust more than I expected. And finished it in one sitting. Can't get enough of these duo and their stories! Recommended!
Part one was hot and steamy, part two is the happy ever after romance readers yearn for. Although, in true Quin Perin style, there is enough heat to melt butter here too.
Six years later Juste is older, sadder and a lot lonelier. He's got more time on his hands after hiring staff at the bar, but he's still closeted and just...living.
When Chase unexpectedly shows up one night, it's obvious he wants to pick up where they left off, but Juste doesn't want him to settle. Chase plans on showing him he's back and not going anywhere.
I loved that Juste wanted more for Chase. It showed just what kind of a man he was, but Chase wasn't about to let him go again. They were both pining during those years they missed and although I personally hate a long period of separation for MC's, this worked. They both needed the space and time to make their story that much more powerful.
I loved the beginning, I loved the ending and I melted at the heat in between. Solid read with equal parts heat and sweet.
I read this book when it was quite a bit shorter and missing the thrilling conclusion. I have to say I am much happier with the ending now. Juste and Chase met by chance when Chase was passing through a small town and stopped at Juste's bar. The two men grow closer over the short time Chase is in town but then Chase leaves. He's a self proclaimed wanderer. The book picks back up 6 years later when Chase comes back to the small town to find the man he left behind. Juste and Chase finally get their hard won happy ending after 6 long years and several life changes. I recommend this book because it's a simple tale of love and happiness.
The guys continue the story of Chase and Juste. They were separated for 6 years. Hurt and love get in the way and the boys fight to protect what they have. It is steamy, but more, its a love story that captures you and you cant wait to find out if they will make it? Once again QuinPerin have brought us a great story! I will always read them! Thanks guys!💕
Finally what started 6 years before is culminated here. And a deeply emotional and beautiful ending it is. Justi has been living in a vacuum for those 6 years longing for Chase to return but doubting he has anything to entice Chase to stay IF he does return. Chase is coming back BUT he must tie up the loose ends of his life first. Each emotionally returned/reconnected. Each saved the other beautifully. As an aside I got this bundle through Prolific Works for my very honest review.
Juste Chase are back, hotter and better! The cowboy and the stud will melt your kindle with their hot and passionate encounters...
We follow the story from the beginning, that ordinary moment when Chase enters Juste's bar, seeking a place to stay after some time wandering around, and how things change from there. They develop a connection that starts as a friendship and turns into something more exciting; their bond grows, the spark is there, and eventually they give in to the desire and start a friends with benefits kind of thing. But Chase is running from something, trying to discover who he really is, and even though he wants to stay, he knows he can’t, at least not right now. And Juste understands that… They go separate ways, each following their paths and… six years later, things are about to change. They are reunited, the spark still there, but they’ll have to see if will be enough to make up for all that time apart. Both men had their reasons, Chase specially, and is up to him to prove he can be the man Juste needs…
To me Wanderlust is one of those books that is perfect for a quiet afternoon reading; this had the right amount of angst and hurt/comfort - nothing exaggerated or over the top - and I liked the way the authors handled the insecurities and feelings of the couple during both parts of the book. It amazes me how well this story flows. I read in a sitting, couldn’t drop it! And like all the other books: the hot sexy times are insanely good! Well written, just the way I love it!
Thank heaven they listened to our pleas to give Chase Juste the closure they deserve!!! I gotta say, that HFN at the end of #1 left me wanting sooo much more of these boys, and when QuinPerin announced the continuation of the story I was beyond excited! It's no secret this duo is one of my favorite MM writers, and their ability to turn even the sweetest of tropes into a steamy and hot story is definitely something out of this world!
Chase wandered the country working odd jobs and avoiding settling down. Juste lived in the same town he was born in, even lived in his childhood home left to him upon his parents death. Two people living very different lives, collide when Chase stumbles into Juste's country bar. A spark of interest starts a slow burning romance that continues for 1 long week and then resumes 6 years later.
Juste doesn't trust that Chase will stay with him: I smiled, my hand going from his chin to the back of his neck. Now it was time. Now I would do it. My nerves went haywire as I ghosted my parted lips over his; I felt him tense up, fingers stiff, ready to shove me off. "I'm not going anywhere," I breathed against his lips.
Juste found no confidence in Chase's words: Pancakes didn't necessarily make up for blue balls, but they were a start.
Chase wasn't about to give up. He would prove to Juste that they were good together: "Gonna come for me, cowboy?" he murmured, lips against my hair. "Hm? Gonna give it all to me? Lemme milk you, baby. I'll make you feel so good."
And the emotional connection caught on fire and was consumed in a blaze: I heaved a sigh and reached over to pull his lips against mine. A slow, lingering kiss. No tongue. I cupped the back of his head when Juste's hand came up to my forearm and he suddenly parted his lips. Well...I wasn't gonna pass up the offer. The kiss grew deeper and more fervent by the second. Sort of hungry and urgent once again. Juste moaned against my lips, his scent so strong and familiar, making my brain cells shut off one by one. I couldn't fight the urge to climb on top of him, to let him feel my weight, bracket him in between my forearms and just rut my hips against his-
Yes!! Finally the story of Chase and Juste continues! I was so disappointed when Chase left for new horizons in the first part of the story. There was so obviously something there! But I guess he just wasn’t ready yet to reach out for happiness. The timing was off… until it wasn’t anymore!
Quin & Perin are the absolute best at mixing delicious smutty heat with those softer, more heartfelt emotions, which is exactly what they did with these two guys. Part 1 of Wanderlust starts out as a mellow, though steamy read where bartender Juste strikes up a very unlikely friendship with Chase, a stranger passing by Juste’s hometown. Juste is lonely, going through the motions and hiding in plain sight, afraid to come out of the closet. He finds a connection with Chase that lights up his life and heart, but sadly it doesn’t last and Chase, haunted by demons of his own, ends up leaving.
In this eagerly awaited bundle, at last, we get to see these two men come together, acting on the scary, big feelings that have taken ahold of their hearts. Juste doesn’t make it easy for Chase, rightly so I feel. Juste understandably harbors some resentment and is hesitant to risk his heart, seeing no way forward for them as a couple. But he’s in luck! Chase is determined and very much in love. I really enjoyed seeing things work out for them this time around.
Loved the epilogue and the sneak peek we got at another intriguing couple!
This was more than a little hot novella it was about comfort and mending whatnot didn’t know was broken. Juste has been on his own way too long in a small town with not a lot of opportunity he just bids his time until his next trip to the city. That is until chase wonders into his bar looking tired and hungry. Maybe even a little broken . The chemistry between them is a force to be reckoned with. I loved how this story progressed and I was so happy with the way it ended. I’m greedy though and would love more of these guys x
Part 2:
I loved Juste and Chase so when I heard they were getting another story I was delighted.
This is set six years from where the first one ended and it’s like Noah’s changed but yet everything has. Juste has been on his own for the best part of six years no one ever measuring up to Chase. Chase has sown his wild oats but has become the man that’s now worthy of Juste. He just need to make him realize that he didn’t leave because he wanted to he left to make him the man he needed to be for Juste.
This was one of the least steamy ones I’ve read by these guys but that didn’t matter a bit. This was more love story and I loved it from start to finish.
When two lonely souls connect, beautiful things happen. Juste is the local barkeep in a small town. Chase is a traveler, worn out and tired looking for a hot meal and a place to crash.
The Southern July heat has nothing on this all man duo. Juste and Chase find an easy companionship with a burning desire for each other. Finding comfort in each other, both know it is only for a short while. Chase feels the pull of the road and knows that he needs to heed that call. And after a week of lust, comfort and friendship he leaves.
Six lonely years have gone by for Juste. His life is simple and nothing for him has changed. The bar, his home with the peeling paint and the occasional trip out of town to fulfill his needs are allowing him to exist. Until one day the screen door creaks open to find Chase, handsome as ever standing there.
Chase is expecting open arms and a warm body to lay with, but Juste is angry and hurt and holds back. Although these two lonely souls belong together they try and fight it.
The heart wants what the heart wants. Chase promises that he is in it for the long haul. Together they exude manliness and raw chemistry. The cowboy and the stud together forever.
These authors sure know how to pen a steamy and sensual story. Chase is a lost soul running from his life and suffering in a self-imposed prison of his own making. Juste is an independent tavern owner, lonely and pining for a way to live his life in the open. This is Chase and Juste's story.
"Time stuttered to a halt, an explosion bursting through my brain, so powerful it took my breath away."
"Tight like a bowstring, I shuddered all over, my skin tingling and searing hot."
"Hungry, desperate kisses, roaming tongues...and now it was over. I had to blink away the cobwebs in my mind, had to take a deep breath to calm myself."
Oh this book has totally made my heart melt. I just adore Juste he was such a sweetheart. Now Chase I wanted to smack up the side of his head because everything could have been just perfect but he totally redeemed himself by coming back for Juste. Now I’ve got to say it wouldn’t be a Quin Perin book without some absolutely scorching hot sex scenes and true to form I wasn’t disappointed, it was off the charts scorching hot. I loved these guys and I’m so so glad that they got their happy ending together.
I love Q&P's edgy, sexy writing and this one certainly fit right in. It almost lost me at one point, but then it picked right back up and hit me right in the feels. I think it could have been a bit more developed, but considering it was a role play, it was pulled off well. And despite the warning see the beginning about editing issues, they were few and far between.
A great bundle that has both part 1, the steamy affair, and part 2, their HEA six years later. Both parts are wonderfully written and keep you glued to its pages to see what happens to Chase and Juste next. I was rooting for these two from the beginning, their chemistry is incredible and when they get together it is truly explosive. These two men meet by chance but they develop into so much more years later and it is glorious to see. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I love this story, something about these characters you can’t help but just love. Part 1 is where they first meet and get to know each other and part 2 is six years later. An emotional read that I really enjoyed
This was a beautiful slow-burn romance between a wanderer and a bar owner in a small Southern town and I loved it.
Chase comes to town and stops at a local bar looking for a hot meal and someplace to lay his head. This is NOT that town. Juste offers him a hot meal and afterwards, his guest room. Each is wondering about the other's sexuality. Juste invites him to stay for a while and Chase makes it clear, he'll earn his room and board. Finally, deciding to test the waters, Juste goes in for a kiss (it's scorching) and doesn't get a black eye for his forwardness. Instead, he finds a kindred spirit. They connect, laugh and like each other. Chase has ghosts that he needs to exercise, Juste knows that Chase' time with him is limited, but it doesn't make thinking about him leaving any easier.
After a particular intimate encounter, Chase is feeling overwhelmed and doesn't want to examine why, he just knows that he needs to move on and Juste can feel him pulling away. When Chase suddenly announces he's leaving in the morning, Juste wishes him well and gives him his phone number, content with his memories of their special week together.
Though, they've talked off and on, over the years—those conversations become few and far. Until eventually Juste believes it was just fantasy experience until Chase walks back into Juste life like he just left yesterday, instead of six years ago. Juste feels some type of way, like Chase is only back because he's settling for him. Chase has his work cut out for him to convince Juste that he wants an forever kind of love—with him. Highly Recommended: Read It!
Was the story cue for this book, ‘If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they were meant to be yours’...unless it hurt so f**king badly when they took off, you don’t trust them to not do it again. And, it’s always worse for the one who stays behind. The one who leaves has a purpose, a journey. The one who has been left feels it all, and, like Juste, it will show on your face, your body, your soul. When I started this book I jumped in without a blurb. From the cover I thought it was two men who shared a journey. After I got the idea where this was heading, I kept reading because this writer(s) sex scenes are so well written. They, and another mm writer, are masters of erotica within a well written story, in my opinion. There was a moment, a scene, in the second part that also made me glad that I kept reading after the being left part. Chase is trying to love on Juste who won’t accept it. Their voices are raised and Chase is asking why won’t Juste just come be with Chase, let Chase in. As much as I agreed with Juste about being self protective and not getting back together, I was in the conflict wondering if Juste should just give in to love and why wasn’t he? Then Juste shouted at Chase, “Cause I don’t f**king know how!” Those words were so profound. You want to do something, to feel, to forgive, but you don’t know how. The scene continued and was an emotional payoff for both MCs. Parts of this book took me on a journey.
Yes!! Finally the story of Chase and Juste continues! I was so disappointed when Chase left for new horizons in the first part of the story. There was so obviously something there! But I guess he just wasn’t ready yet to reach out for happiness. The timing was off… until it wasn’t anymore!

Loved the epilogue and the sneak peek we got at another intriguing couple!
A stranger walks into a bar...and two lives change. Juste, the bar owner, offers Chase, a lone man out on his own, a hot meal and a place to stay. Chase gratefully accepts and does chores & jobs at the house to earn his keep. Their attraction to each other is real, though they don’t know how the other feels/thinks. Once they’re on the same page though, watch out. The chemistry is through the roof. It almost feels like they complete each other in a way, but Chase isn’t ready for that yet. After an amazing an emotional night, he decides its time to move on. Only time will tell how their story ends...
Wanderlust #2
6 years later, Chase is back. He got himself together (and then some), and came back to the only man who gave him the true feels. Though Juste welcomes him back, he’s a bit different. More solitary, walls up, not ready to just jump back where they left off. Chase has his work cut out for him, but he’s not giving up. He knows what & who he wants, and Juste better be prepared. This truly was a wonderful love story
4* Wanderlust by Quin Perin is a standalone story originally released in two parts but is combined here. This story contains a slow burn romance with so much chemistry that is both high heat and intimate at the same time. The second part of the books features a second chance with some hurt/comfort themes thrown in but all of the same chemistry as the first.
Juste owns a bar in a very small town in the South where everyone knows everyone and their business. Chase is just passing through on his way to the next place. When the bar shuts down for the night and Chase has nowhere to go, Juste invites him in. It's only one week together, but they both know they'll never forget the other, even when Chase moves on. So what will happen when Chase comes back 6 years later??
Wanderlust is told from both Juste and Chase's POVs which gives us a great insight in to both of their thought processes. I felt that while both MCs are featured all the way through, Juste was more the main in the first half while Chase had more of the second.
Juste and Chase lead different lives, but they are both lonely. Chase ends up in Juste ‘s and bar and Juste offers him a place to stay. Sparks fly and they share an amazing week together until Chase hits the road again. Six years later Chase shows up on Juste’s door but neither are the same people. Will the sparks still be there? Can Juste open his heart again only for it to get broken when Chase leaves again. Fast-paced read with amazing off the charts hot chemistry. The characters are amazing with so much depth and emotion that really draws you in and takes you on a journey. I loved it!
This sadly took me three days to finish because of course, life getting in the way. It’s definitely going to be a reread at some point so I can thoroughly enjoy it like I was supposed to in the first place. Juste and Chase are incredibly perfect for each other, I was so very upset when 6 years went by with them separated, but alas that is life. Loved the slow burn, of course it was hot, as only Quin and Perin can do. I was so very happy when the boys got that wonderfully deserved ending!
This fantastic, fascinating, grab-you-by-the-feels, powerful, poignant, heartbreaking yet hopeful, emotionally charged, intense, slow burning, and totally awesome hurt/comfort, second chance, friends-to-lovers tale is proof positive that Quin Perin can handle any trope/plot/storyline with talent and style. It had me hooked from the very first page, and I would DEFINITELY recommend one clicking this marvelous gem ASAP!!!
WAnderlust This is one sexy read but I expected nothing less from the Quin Perin duo! Sexy cowboys, plenty of lust, and plenty of angst! This book is so hot it will sizzle the water right off your skin! Juste is adorable in his beefy cowboy way and Chase is exactly what his partner likes to call him: “stud”. And the ending was adorably, perfect! Looking forward to more by this author!
Chase and Juste meet by happenstance when Chase enters Juste's bar. They hit it off very well but Chase is running from his past and moves on a week later. Could they have that much of an attachment in such a short time? It seems like they did, is it easy to forgive the abandonment of 6 years?
