I never really new much about the Secret Service except that it protects the President. I didn't know that it was attached to the Treasury Department, or that it was set up to fight counterfeiters not to protect important people. Though it was written in the 1950s and many thing have happened since then, it was still an interesting read with stories of real events.

Another vintage Scholastic that I seem to recall reading as a kid. I always have enjoyed these types of books that are chock full of true stories. Inside this are exciting tales regarding the men who carry the star shaped badge and stop counterfeiters and protect the president.

I read this when I was in Jr. High School and very much enjoyed learning the range of responsibilities of this agency.

I love these books they are rather short but they are very interesting. They are always written by experts and are well written. The topics are often ones I have not considered before I read them but I always enjoy them!
