By 24 years of age, Selena Quintanilla was considered the ‘Queen of Tejano Music’ and well on her way to becoming one of the most famous musical performers of all time. Her incredible talent and unique Latin style had a profound and lasting impact on the music industry. Learn how this young tenacious woman built a legacy of music, fashion, and family.
Note: This was a book I was reading in Spanish. There's no way I would've taken so long to read this otherwise.
It was pretty good. One thing I love about Selena - she is an example of how life can start off however and have some fairly rough times in which you bond with people to get through such times, but it can get better. Her life was real, even if she died totally unexpectedly.
And I am so, so, so, so glad Yolanda was imprisoned, and I really am not in favor of her being released, what, three years from now? Because then we'll all be living with a murderer on the loose.
I read this book for my high school Spanish 3 class, and I really enjoyed this book! It was my first time reading a book in Spanish, and this book made me interested in Selena Quintanilla.
