Nothing I like more than reading a biography of a writer whose work I love. This one didn't disappoint. I'll always remember the brothers' egg suppers.
Hamilton is an interesting figure and his life very obviously fed into his literary work so seeing snippets of his letters and the intertwining of fact and fiction was highly interesting. But overall French’s writing style fell a little flat for me.
