Another fun easy read in the apple orchard mystery series by a Chelsea Thomas. I always enjoy taking a break to hang out with Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny in Pine Grove NY.
Real estate is ALWAYS a risky venture.
But just when Pine Grove’s market starts heating up…
…a dead body makes buyers think twice.
When your real estate agent gets murdered, it’s not a good sign. It’s even worse when that real estate agent gets murdered on your family farm.
Chelsea and Miss May uncover a secret some would die to protect. Others? They’d kill to keep the information safe.
Will the ladies solve the mystery before the killer strikes again?
This was a novella so it was nice short easy read, but I’m counting the days until the next full book comes out.

Chelsea and her aunt, Miss May, are providing the venue for a real estate event. Since Miss May forgot about the booking the duo is lucky to have the barn set up for another event the following week. Refreshments are easy to come by in their bakery. They find they are even less prepared for what comes the next day.
This novella was a great addition to the Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery Series. While fans of the series, like myself, wait for the next book to be released, this quick read gives us a dose of the fabulous characters and setting we’ve come to love. This novella did not disappoint. I recommend this book (and the entire series).
I truly enjoy when an author throws a novella, in between full novels, to tie up loose ends, add more details to a character's personality and/or history, or give hints of what's to come.
In this one, the twin sister of an aggressive real estate agent is murdered, right there in the orchard, near the Jonagold trees...what nerve! Clues are leading to two suspects, a neighbor who is mean, and chews tobacco; and the real estate agent's partner in the business. Did they both conspire together, or someone is misleading the sleuth trio? As usual, the police are clueless, and the chief is too busy trying to find a reason to jail Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny, then to solve an actual crime.
...and what's up with Germany Turtle; in Africa!?!
I enjoyed reading SIX SWEETS UNDER by Chelsea Thomas. The characters are quirky and fun. The dialogue is funny, witty and at times nonsensical. After Gertrude Hunter is found shot to death, Jane Hunter, local realtor wants to hire Miss May, Chelsea and Teeny to find the person who killed her identical twin sister. Police Chief Flanagan threatens to arrest the sleuthing trio if they interfere with the investigation. Twists and turns keep the sleuths hopping from one clue to the next. Enjoy this cozy mystery and see if you solve it before the 3 local sleuths.
If you like small towns, apple orchards, pizza for breakfast and a touch of romance you need to meet Chelsea and Miss May her busybody aunt as they solve a murder in “Six Sweets Under”. This fun cozy mystery will take you on a ride that will leave you hankerin’ for Disco Fries, Hash Brown Lasagna and most of all Apple Pie Truffles! Grab yourself a cup of coffee and take a fun jaunt into Pine Grove NY. I guarantee you will want Chelsea and May for your neighbors. Your grocery list will be a snap too, once you read this delectable small town adventure by Chelsea Thomas!
It'd been a long time since I'd read in this series and I knew I wanted to get back to it, so this book was where I'd left off. I really enjoyed what turned out to be a fun little Thanksgiving story.
I'd almost forgotten how funny Teeny was when she got excited about sleuthing with Miss May and Chelsea. I eventually got a suspicion about what happened as far as the murder went and was partially right. What a great showdown too! Now I'm ready for the next book which I've already got so I hope to be reading it soon.
I received this book as an arc reader. As usual this series is great! I enjoy the main characters, Miss May, Teeny and Chelsea! They are definitely not professional investigators, but they will not give up to find out the truth to solve a murder, especially when it's on their property! I love cozy mysteries, esp ones with baking, humor and interesting people to go along for the ride!

Cute concept and cute story. However, the writing team needs to proofread a bit closer. In the first chapter Chelsea walks downstairs from her bedroom to the kitchen, but a few chapters later she mentions her bedroom is on the first floor. There are a few other discrepancies in the storytelling. Again, cute story but needs more proofreading.
I fund this short mystery story to be delightful. Although, with the small cast of potential bad guys, my suspicions peaked pretty early. Nonetheless, I didn't solve the crime before Miss May laid out all of the details.
I loved this book and look forward to going back to Apple Die. A new series for me to read. The police chief wishes they would leave these crimes to the police but then when would they get solved. These friends have connections and ideas that can get information the cops can't just because they are not cops and so friendly. I hope she never sells that orchard.
Fun read. This is the first book I've read by the authors. I enjoyed reading the book. I thought the characters were fun. They apparently are a murder-solving team. I look forward to reading other books in the series.
Another cute cozy mystery featuring Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny which of course, they solve again! Think the police department needs to put them on retainer instead of telling them to stay out of the investigations! Looking forward to the next book in this series.
Being in real estate can be hard work but it can also be dangerous. Someone is murdered and now it could be even worse. Who is behind it? Can they find who did it? See if they can solve it

Another great book the stories are good and the recipes are good too. There is such a lot happening in this orchard that you dont want to put book down until you finish it.

I enjoyed this book. The characters quickly seemed like people I would want to know (or want to avoid). Now if I could just find some of those truffles.
Chelsea and Miss May are incensed when a local real estate company, Hunter Realty, keeps pushing them to sell the farm. There's no way Miss May is going to sell her family home to anyone even if the market is hot. Chelsea doesn't want to sell either but Jane Hunter doesn't take no for an answer unless it's a no from her twin sister Gertrude. The pair are always fighting while Jane's partner Isabel does all the work. When Gertrude goes missing after an event in the barn, the police naturally suspect Chelsea and Miss May. The amateur sleuths set out to find the body and prove Chief Flanagan wrong.
This one is short but sweet. Chelsea is growing up a lot. She's discovering she has a mind of her own and learning to assert herself. Miss May is as driven as ever, even more so since her family and her farm's reputations are at stake. As usual Teeny is full of ideas from her silly shows but this time she's a little less annoying. The plot kept me reading even though I figured out the twist before Chelsea.
The new characters are unpleasant people. Does Pine Grove have any residents who aren't weird or nasty? Jane is a shark in business and in her personal life. She never lets her sister catch a break and never misses an opportunity to put someone down. Gertrude is more sympathetic but she wants to be more like her sister. Isabel is pretty downtrodden. Could her pent up anger at the way she's treated be a motive for murder?
I love the sound of the white chocolate apple pie truffles and am glad I received a free copy of the Apple Orchard cookbook from the authors. I probably should have made them for Thanksgiving but I forgot since I read this book awhile ago. I'll add it to my notebook for next year.
This is a well-written, fun, short story. Miss May, Chelsea, and Teeny have another murder to solve. A murder in Miss May’s very own apple orchard. Talk about a murder close to home. The zany, outlandish, and sometimes ditzy actions of the trio of amateur sleuths could only be found in the realm of fiction. A highly entertaining and enjoyable easy-to-read story.
I enjoy anything this author writes but this one was perfect. As usual the characters draw you in and make you a part of their world which takes a truly gifted author to make that happen. In this book, Chelsea and Aunt May are back at detecting when you guessed it, another dead body pops up.
