I started reading this series with book number 1. I’ve really enjoyed most all the books in the series so far. I would say that I’ve rated all the books in the series at 4-5 stars. The only one is this one and the Jamaican story. The Jamaican one has been my least favorite so far and I would place this one second to last. It’s kinda tough to like a story if the characters aren’t very likable. Other than that, I love the regular characters and the writers tales.

I love the character, Miami Jones. I have read the whole series and I’ve never been disappointed. This one didn’t disappoint either. It’s a light-hearted story of PI, Miami Jones, hired to find out who’s threatening the #1 draft pick of the WNBA. Miami’s private life is always interesting. I recommend.

Wise and witty

By now, Miami’s friends are my friends, his wit makes me smile, and his wisdom makes me want to remember it. HIs escapades are a little too quick and easy, but getting there is half the fun. Seems like by Miami Jones has learned a lot of lessons of life And willingly passes them on without judgment. Most enjoyable reading.

Book 11 in the series

Miami, Ron, and the rest of the team become involved with a WNBA basketball player when Ronzoni, of all people, hires Miami to find out who is threatening the player. Lots of suspects and only a few clues to start. A great story.

Great!

The only reason I don’t give this 5 stars is that I predicted the guilty one for the first time. Maybe, I’m just getting used to A.J.’s thinking or just got lucky. It was still great and I loved being right for a change!

An interesting twist

I liked this Miami Jones novel, as it allowed for Miami's character to start to mature personally. Miami had some challenges professionally but he finally figured out the solution.

Relaxed, funny, and insightful

I love the Miami Jones, private investigator series! It truly is about the people reassociate, and the families we make outside of birth and DNA. Pay it forward everyone.

Miami

Another fast read starring Miami Jones. Can’t wait to read the next one. So relaxing and entertaining and suspenseful. The series will be fun to read in the winter when it’s cold out and snowing or whatever. I can read these and dream about Florida.

"Pay it forward!"

MJ is more philosophical in this story. He advises all around him and in the end accepts his own advice. This storyline reveals the greed of those who won't work for success.

Miami gets kind of preachy in this one, including some whitesplaining. He does, however, realize some important things by the end.

Miami needs no introduction. He is hired to basically be a body guard for a young basketball player. She is being pressed to sign a WNBA contract and the hangers on are coming out of the woodwork. None of them seem to know that, even top professional women players don't get a pittance compared to their male counter parts. If you know Miami, you know that nothing is as easy as it looks. Her parents are being threatened if she doesn't sign the contract, and most of the people that are supposed to be looking out for her, are just looking out for themselves. Miami has very little time to separate the wheat from the weeds. Another totally enjoyable Miami Jones adventure!

ANOTHER AWESOME Miami Jones book!!

Miami Jones is a Private Investigator who isn't shy about taking on cases, that others won't. A young, female basketball player, Tania is trying to go Professional and things aren't going so well in the right direction.
Ronzoni, a Palm Beach Police Detective, hires Miami to find out who's pushing and pulling things around.
From Palm Beach to Miami, with Miami Jones, remembering his own life of going from College baseball player, to Professional Ball player. A MUST READ!!

This was another great Miami Jones novel from A.J. Stewart. Miami is hired by Detective Ronzoni to watch over a young gal who’s selected in the draft for the WNBA and is getting threats. In this one, Miami has lots of possibilities as to who’s behind them. In the end, he cleverly figures it out, does a little soul searching himself, along with helping guide a few of the young people. You even see another side to Ronzoni. Who knew? As always, I did enjoy Miami, his dry wit, and his ever evolving relationship with Danielle.

Basic Miami Jones novel from Stewart. There are several trails in the mystery, most of them false but they leave the reader something to contemplate while enjoying the plot.

Stewart also has Jones moralizing with several of the characters involved, including himself.

As with most of Stewart's MJ novels, this one is a stand alone (other than the relationship with Danielle) and doesn't require reading the previous 10.
