EN As could only be expected, Akira Toriyama introduces a new threat, even more powerful than all the previous ones: Moro, a sorcerer who at first glance seems to have some connection to Babidi, but in reality does not, although he is clearly inspired by that character.
Vegeta, on the other hand, is almost unrecognizable due to how naturally he now cooperates with Son Goku.

Moro, what a chilling and bad**s name for a new antagonist but the way this insane fight just took place on the new planet namek I’m not fully sure if he’ll be fully around much longer… but who knows whenever one of those wishing dragons gets involved. Also Buu finally coming back to do epic combat after all this time was phenomenal and without spoiling that last chapter really surprises you with the explanation of his off her known name.

This was such a cool volume and I loved it, seeing Goku and Vegeta fight moro whose grown so powerful and like how they battle and their rescue by Merus and then Boo coming in and their battle was just epic, and I loved it. There is a part where it gets ridiculous their battle i.e. but maybe thats what makes this standout and like the title says, the wishes that Moro wished for.. that will make the future volumes much more interesting to read and the fights will be epic even further and I can't wait to read it!!

This was such a great book as we continue their battle against moro but then he outclasses them and the difference in their abilities is shown and how he sucks them dry but then somehow also absorbing life energy, the whole volume passes on by fast as its an epic battle between Moro and Vegeta and Goku and then something happens where they are knocked out, they recover meanwhile Moro is recovering the dragon balls and as things will happen, Merus comes in to the rescue and attacks him and as it seems like he is gonna go down, lord of lords in Boo form comes and pins him down and then dragon ball wishing through Porunga happens and he gains all his magic power back and some other wish, and things get from bad to worse! This manga is getting good now! Also seems like the next battle is gonna be even more insane and intense, the story while fell off in the middle picked back up great and the writing is building upto the big plot finally!

This is a complete filler of a book. The art work is great and there is a lot of action in the book. As is pestering and one shot punch kills. What this book reminds me of is the DB episodes where the characters spend the whole episode charging up destroying everything in the background, then saying tricked you this is not my full power and sound the same next episode.
I did not get an answer to any of the questions I had from the previous volume regarding this story arc and characters the fights wendy down pretty much as I expected. I am hoping the next volume is worth the setup.

A total filler of a volume, with unending fight going predictably through the same motions, powerups and lack of resolution. It reminds me... actually, it doesn't remind me of any particular battle from DB or DBZ - it gets the doubtful distinction of collecting the most boring elements of all.
I had hopes for Moro, and it sure seems he's there to stay for a while longer, but that weird arrangement of having Vegeta fight him for the whole volume takes any tension from the battle. Lots of exposition, most of which is actually needed, but could've been delivered in a less-DB anime and more-DB manga way, ie. quicker, sharper, and more to the point.
Once again, the Namekians get the short straw, with their planet AGAIN destined for destruction and their people AGAIN destined for death. It's certainly lucky they can rebuild their population from one living specimen, then!

This feels more classic DBZ style storytelling, and I was 100% with it.
Moro vs Vegeta opens the volume. This is a clear one sided battle until Moro decides to show his true hand. This puts both Vegeta and Goku in a new predicament as they aren't used to fighting someone with "magic". Then the second half deals with a dragonball chase, weaken heroes, and a surprise twist at the end that puts everyone in danger.
This is probably one of the stronger volumes in the series. Giving us a brand new foe that doesn't feel like a rehash. The brutal way he wins fights and what he does makes Moro a actual interesting enemy. Vegeta's growth as a character is nice to see. We have a galactic policeman who's actually pretty badass too.
Overall, I'm all here for the Moro arc, this is great.

The battle against Moro is devastating as Buu becomes the key to defeating him. With some important exposition, the story leads to an exciting battle to come.

New Material continues...
Moro shows just how bad of a villain he will end up being here. First fighting Vegeta, and then Goku, Moro is able to able to eat their ki blasts, suck life force from the planet AND them, eventually preventing Super Saiyan transformation AND Instant Transmission. With a final leech of energy from both powerful Saiyans, Moro loses some of his feebleness.
Moro then moves on to collecting the Namekian Dragon Balls, indicating he has a wish. Buu wakes from his nap and goes to take on Moro, holding his own and really beating him down bad, tapping into the Lord of Lords persona he has inside. When Buu is about to finish him off, Moro's henchman Cranberry is able to use one of the wishes to restore Moro's full magical power to him. He then escapes Buu, kills his henchman, and makes a third wish that we don't get to see. Buu fully adopts the face and persona of Lord of Lords, heals the Saiyans and they head off to try and stop Moro from eating New Namek.
This new enemy is so tough...I'm thinking at least 3 if not 4 more Volumes. They are going to have to climb higher than ever before to beat him!
Looking forward to Volume 11!

It's Dragon Ball
Same formula, bit of fanservice, looking forward to the anime. Moro is a bit different but the plot isn't too crazily unique which is a shame, but an expected shame. Majin Buu finally gets his fat pink ass in the ring though so that was good

The best part of this volume was Vegeta reflecting on how awful he used to be and how far he's come.
It's just tiring to see new villains doing the same old. I'm glad they kept Buu as an indestructible force though...even though we know Moro is gonna smoke him and Goku will eventually save the day. It's getting old quick.

Kind of don't like how the shading for SSG and SSB makes the hair colors look basically the same. And with SSB being more or less "perfected" the only way to discern between both forms is to see whether or not Goku or Vegeta have pupils. With pupils, SSG. Without, SSB. It's been too long since I've read Volume 9, so I mistook Vegeta for SSB in the beginning of this volume. He soon activates the chunky toothpaste aura and there are a couple panels showing him closing his eyes and then opening them to show his missing pupils (which we assume means blue irises). But then, with Blue being perfected, the chunky aura bits aren't present with Vegeta is just standing around, and it seems he doesn't often have the chunks when he's exerting himself.
Anyway, I'm digging Moro's rape-based Genki-Dama ripoff. That is, he draws energy from New Namek and its inhabitants without their consent, unlike Son Goku asking for help with his super-move. I also enjoy the technique Moro uses before this, concentrating the planet's energy to summon tendrils of what I assume is meant to be soft dirt or something. And the wall of fire he summons so he can throw Namekians into it! This dude would be fun as hell for FighterZ. Definitely a more interesting skill-set than most previous Dragon Ball villains. And I also like how he impales three people with his hand, like some kind of JoJo villain.
Toyotarou gives us more development for Vegeta as a hero, with the Saiyan prince asking the Namekian guy if he still bears a grudge for Vegeta's past slaughter on Old Namek ages ago. Toyo really wants to make Vegeta a better character than Goku, and I don't mind at all.
Also, hoooooly fuck, Boo finally gets to fight! His decapitation fakeout on page 149 is hilarious.
These chucklefucks keep censoring Popo's lips.

This is, honestly speaking, my first venture into manga. The only manga I have encountered is reading snippets from the One Piece manga, Dragon Ball and Naruto to see the difference of style and artwork.
And I am surprised. This is a very well constructed manga, and the story arc is one of the most riveting yet in the often disappointing Dragon Ball Super. The story is better paced, villains are more intriguing, and the overall narrative feels like it has a bigger and grander scope without relying on the increase in power levels. Moro as a villain has a very unique fighting style different from the rest of the villains from the Dragon Ball history.
However, as a manga, the panels are sometimes huddled together and feels almost claustrophobic. If you look at One Piece or Toriyama's Dragon Ball, the sometimes a single panel takes the entire page to demonstrate a major blow to the opponent. Neither Oda nor Toriyama put panels uncomfortably close, or so small that the features of the drawings are difficult to see. Even Naruto has distinct panels in which all features are easily distinguishable. I guess Toyotaro has a long way to go.
However, credit where it is due. Toyotaro's design of Moro is so incredibly unique. Same goes for Meerus as well. These characters are beautifully designed, and I love them.
Overall, I have very high hopes from this arc.

Fireeeeeeeeeerere, read this as I Finished the anime and wanted to know what happens next. Also first time reading manga and from what I’ve seen, the art is sexy ash and the action from this volume was TT. Got depressed when I finished the volume so ordered the next one prime next day delivery shit had me hoooked. I really liked how action was immediate, although kinda predictable, there wasn’t a long break from the Tournament of Power which was nice , the introduction of the lords of lords was great too and the return of namek is great too. Can’t wait to read the rest

Absolutely fantastic. Now that the anime content is covered the series can finally grow into its own. From Moros magic to Boo actually doing something of significance for the first time since the Boo saga every single page brings something exciting and shocking. Some of the best action and best Vegeta scenes are found in this volume as well as some pretty good world building.

On poursuit l’un des meilleurs mangas ever! Le coup de cœur est frôlé.
Le lecteur se retrouve aux prises avec un des super vilains (Oui j’emprunte ce terme aux comics!) les plus redoutables qu’Akira Toriyama lui-même ait pu jamais inventer! Il mange ses proies pour se booster, un peu comme Majin Boo en son temps…
Saviez vous que dans l’arc de Boo sur Dragon Ball Z, le mangaka faisait exprès d’écrire « n’importe quoi »? Eh oui! Car il ne voulait pas continuer la série mais y était « forcé » par son éditeur ou quelque chose dans ce style. Toriyama renoue donc avec cet aspect fantaisiste et couronné de succès de sa carrière en créant ce nouveau personnage, inspiré plus ou moins de Majin. Qui combat d’ailleurs dans ce tome !! : -)
P’tit Son (Son Goku) et Végéta se font défoncer à un point tel qu’on ne l’avait plus vu depuis… Freezer… (Sauf peut-être face à Broly!)
Quant à Moro (l’antagoniste) de Bélier charismatique (mon signe!) il devient Bélier beau gosse, recouvrant, avec ses forces, sa jeunesse … Comme ça c’est cadeau x)…

PS : le nouveau personnage « Merus » est – à notre grande surprise – assez puissant pour tenir tête seul à Moro.

Le lecteur se retrouve aux prises avec un des super vilains (Oui j’emprunte ce terme aux comics!) les plus redoutables qu’Akira Toriyama lui-même ait pu jamais inventer! Il mange ses proies pour se booster, un peu comme Majin Boo en son temps…
Saviez vous que dans l’arc de Boo sur Dragon Ball Z, le mangaka faisait exprès d’écrire « n’importe quoi »? Eh oui! Car il ne voulait pas continuer la série mais y était « forcé » par son éditeur ou quelque chose dans ce style. Toriyama renoue donc avec cet aspect fantaisiste et couronné de succès de sa carrière en créant ce nouveau personnage, inspiré plus ou moins de Majin. Qui combat d’ailleurs dans ce tome !! : -)
P’tit Son (Son Goku) et Végéta se font défoncer à un point tel qu’on ne l’avait plus vu depuis… Freezer… (Sauf peut-être face à Broly!)
Quant à Moro (l’antagoniste) de Bélier charismatique (mon signe!) il devient Bélier beau gosse, recouvrant, avec ses forces, sa jeunesse … Comme ça c’est cadeau x)…
« Kakarotto, si jamais tu survis à ce combat, redonne immédiatement à cette planète son apparence initiale. »

It has been some time since I read the previous volumes, that’s why I skimmed through Vol. 9 again to get back into the story and reread the introduction of the Moro arc. This volume continues evidently that story, and with it we learn even more about this new villain. I have to say that Moro really is an interesting villain in the DB Super series. His special magical abilities give him an edge that the DB heroes need to overcome. For now they haven’t succeeded in this. It makes the story all the more interesting and not a rehash from previous villains.
At the end of the previous volume it was Vegeta taking on Moro. It's clear Vegeta is the stronger one of the two, but specifically due to his magic Moro can finally overcome Vegeta and his attacks. He also takes care of Goku and leaves both of them on the brick of death. After this he can move forward with his plans: collect the Dragon Balls.
The Namekians try to oppose Moro, but they are even less of a fight than Goku and Vegeta were, it's a massacre. He finally succeeds in gathering six of the Dragon Balls and identifies the location of the final one. It's at this point that the Galactic Patrol intervenes with Merus. He has brought Buu with him to take on Moro. Buu succeeds in giving Moro a true beating, but when he wants to finish him off the sky turns dark. Cranberry, Moro's accomplice, has gathered the final Dragon Ball and summened Porunga.
With finally the three wishes granted and Moro's main goal achieved, restoration off all his abilities, he has no longer the need to fight his opponents and leaves to absorb the remaining energy of Namek. The DB heroes go after him.
Conclusion:
Very good volume I thought, from start to finish. A lot of fights against an interesting new villain. I'd like to see more off this in the coming volumes.

VOLUME 10: CHAPTER 45-48
Arc 5: Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga
Moro absorbed the life energy from Planet Namek and its peaople along with Goku and Vegeta. Both of them cannot turn into Super Saiyan and cannot escape using teleportation. Goku and Vegeta were defeated by Moro. Moro hunts down the Dragon Ball from village to village. After 3 days, Goku and Vegeta wakes up. They were healed by Esca, Namekian who have healing power. Moro managed to collect 6 Dragon Balls. The final Dragon Ball is in Esca's possession. Moro head to Esca's place. Goku and Vegeta went out to face Moro again. Suddenly, Galactic Patrol ship appears. Merus managed to caught Moro and restrained his movement. Buu come down and fight Moro. Moro absorption power cannot work against Buu. Buu get the upperhand in the battle. As he is going to seal Moro, Porunga was summoned. Cranberry, ex Frieza's trooper, who help Moro forced Esca to summon Porunga and make a wish. First wish, Cranberry wants Porunga to heal him. Second wish, Porunga restore Moro magic power. Moro instantly went to Cranberry and kill him. Moro make the third wish and escape. Lord of Lords take over Buu's body and heal Esca and restored Goku and Vegeta power.

9/10 Moro quickly made light work out of goku and vegeta by draining them out of their powers and then going on the hunt for the dragon balls after they got knocked out. Thankfully and namekian saved them and healed them as much as they could too keep them alive. They sensed Moro coming in their direction, it seems Moro can now sense dragon balls locations. The freeze force member cranberry who is helping Moro summoned the dragon while Moro fought off goku and vegeta again. He asked for Moro’s full magic back and cranberry asked for his own body to heal, before cranberry made his promised wish to go to a hidden planet, Moro killed him and stole the wish but we don’t get to hear or see the wish. It is still unknown what Moro’s third wish is. Buu was beating Moro using the great lord of lords memories and powers (buu consumed him in the past and he took down Moro the first time) , then the great lord of lords temporarily takes over buu’s body until Moro is dealt with. Moro disappeared and it seems he is trying to eat the planet and the z fighters are beneath him now.

Dragon Ball Super jest jakie jest – raz lepiej, raz gorzej. Jednak na pewno nie mogę narzekać na antagonistów w tej serii, bo ci potrafią pokazać więcej niż surową siłę i kolejne formy. Po Zamasu, który stracił rozum przyszła pora na Moro. Pewną starą kozę, której nie na darmo boi się Galaktyczny Patrol…
Moro tak naprawdę na początku wcale nie jest silny. Ma jednak kilka sztuczek w zanadrzu, plus jest cholernie sprytny… połączenie, które rozkłada Goku i Vegetę na łopatki w przeciągu kilku chwil! I jestem naprawdę zadowolona. Nie dlatego, że Goku z Vegetą dostali po ryjach, ale dlatego, że Moro jest wyzwaniem, które będzie wymagało więcej niż samej siły. No i w końcu też potencjał Buu został wykorzystany. Znaczy nie samego Buu… ale sposób jego walki jest odświeżający po saiyańskim mordobiciu. Buu to dziwak o dziwacznych mocach. Jego pojedynek z Moro chyba był dla mnie najlepszym momentem w całym tomie. Był głupkowaty, ale to właśnie urok Buu – niepozorny, dziwny grubasek o niewyobrażalnej sile.
