An Agent For Genevieve is book #62 in the Pinkerton Matchmaker Series. This story is a rather humorous tale as it deals with the upper class of society having to deal with the commoners but, also has it's fair share of mayhem. Genevieve came from a family of siblings that were left to care for the farm they grew up on after the death of their parents. Since Genevieve was the eldest she had taken over raising the other children and they were at the age they could care for themselves and her brother was about to marry a upper society girl and bring her to be a farmer's wife. Genevieve had given up at 23 on getting married as she was older than most girls that married. She decided she needed a change and running into Trace on the boardwalk in Denver outside the Pinkerton agency was the start. That day she went home to get her belongings and be a Pinkerton agent wife to Trace. Their first case was to find Andrea, a girl that Gen, as Trace started calling her, knew from the upper class society. They said she was missing and hired the Pinkerton agency to find her. Trace had no idea how much Gen would come in handy as a Pinkerton agent. The case was as confusing as could be and it was a mystery to both Gen and Trace as to when they found Andrea what would be the outcome.. But, as fate would have it the story takes a complete 180 degree turn and they are caught in the middle fighting for not only Andrea's life but, their own lives.

Sweet Historical Romance

I started by reading A Match for Sarah. It turns out that that series is a spinoff of this series, and Nick, Sarah's match, is the brother of Gen. Both siblings were pretty prominent in this story, and before Sarah was even walking down the aisle, this book was referenced enough, I had to read it first!
I loved the uniqueness of this story! I applaud how this series has lasted so long, with such incredible creativity! This story was easy to understand, but way outside my creativity level! I enjoyed every minute of it!

When spinster Genevieve 's brother gets married, she decides its time for her to move on. What better way than to become a lady Pinkerton? Little did she know, the stipulation she must get married. Their case is to find the daughter of a prominent Denver family. This book throws in the usual getting to know each other and trust issues. Also throw in Gen's brother becoming part of the case to make it more difficult for the newlyweds. Will he blow their cover or help them out?

Loved this one.

Actually, I have loved every exciting Pinkerton matches and their exciting lives, but I loved how Gen was with her agent husband Trace, how she managed to unnerve him and take charge, but still delivered. I also loved how her brother managed to join them and turned out to be a big help. I hope he joins up too and finds his love also. Great story, fun and exciting. Perfect ending to.

A puzzle, within a puzzle

Trace and Gen have a feisty relationship, but seem to quickly come to an understanding that works for both of them...most of the time! Their case has many twists and turns, shadows and double crosses so they need to work together and stay alert if they both want to survive. Gen surprises Trace at every turn and in turn Trace is everything Gen never thought she needed....a great addition to the series, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

I really enjoyed this story. I felt as if Genevieve was a close friend, she was so easy to like. The plot was fun and had me laughing at the witty banter between Genevieve and Trace. Great action with the agents and bad guys, especially loved that part of story. Fantastic story!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

A woman looking for a little spice

What is a woman to do when you can't stay home anymore but have nowhere really to go..... An advertisement for Pinkerton agents, now that might be an adventure.... A handsome man, what a bonus! And so the story goes..... But wait, there is more! But you have to read it to enjoy it like I did.

Funny and lighthearted

Even though a very serious assignment of a missing person, I found it funny and lighthearted. Trace and Genevieve were matched perfectly. - Babs

Genevieve has spent years caring for her siblings after their parents died. But now her brother is getting married and she doesn't want to stay at the farm. It's time for her own adventures, like her older brother must be seeking since he left home yesterday.
Trace has gone through 2 "wife" partners. The first one died in the line of duty and the other was a witch of a woman. Will Genevieve be a better partner? Will it be just for this case or will they get along good enough to keep their partnership? Or will it grow to something more?
Their case should be simple; convince a runaway rich girl to come home. But is there more to her leaving home?
This is a clean, sweet romance. I really liked it. Trace and Gen were a good match but I liked how she kept him on his toes.
