Ich liebe diesen Manga, auch wenn es für mich sehr schwer gewesen ist, (über) die Misshandlungsszenen zu lesen/zu sehen (besonders in Band 1 und auch nicht nur die Gewalt, die Hayashida Yumi antut, sondern auch die, die Hayashida in seinem Job erfährt). Nichtsdestotrotz bin ich froh, dass wir in diesem Genre eine Geschichte haben, die sich ernsthaft mit Gewalt in Beziehungen auseinandersetzt. Ich fand es interessant Hayashidas Seite zu sehen und zu verstehen, wie er mit der Tatsache leben muss, dass er Yumi misshandelt hat. Shuna ist an Hayashidas Seite und liebt ihn trotz der Last, die auf Hayashida liegt .
Wie immer in Ogeretsu Tanakas Geschichten beeindrucken mich die Zeichnungen ungemein. Die Gefühle, die durch sie übertragen werden sind spürbar. Die Zeichnungen sind niederschmetternd in den traurigen und brutalen Szenen und so voller Wärme in den sanften Szenen, sodass ich von ihrer Ernsthaftigkeit und Aufrichtigkeit immer vollkommen überwältigt bin. Auch wenn ich die oft sehr expliziten Erotikszenen aufgrund der starken Geschichte drumherum fast zweitranging finde, gefallen mir diese sehr gut.
Meiner Meinung nach hält der Manga eine gute Balance zwischen Traurigkeit, dem Umgang mit den Schuldgefühlen sowie dem Schmerz und der Liebe, Akzeptanz und letztendlich Hoffnung. Die Geschichte wirkt nicht aufgebauscht und fühlt sich trotz der Schwere des Themas gut an.

I love this manga, even though it has been very hard for me to read about/see the abuse scenes (especially in volume 1, and also not only the violence Hayashida inflicts on Yumi, but also the violence Hayashida experiences in his job). Nonetheless, I'm glad we have a story in this genre that deals with violence in relationships seriously. I think it’s interesting to see Hayashida's side and to understand how he has to live with the fact that he abused Yumi. As always in Ogeretsu Tanaka's stories, the art impresses me immensely. The feelings that are conveyed through the drawings are palpable. They are devastating in the sad and brutal scenes and so full of warmth in the gentle scenes that I am always completely overwhelmed by their seriousness and sincerity. Although the often very explicit erotic scenes almost feel secondary to me because of the strong story around them, I always like them very much.
In my opinion, the manga keeps a good balance between sadness, dealing with feelings of guilt as well as pain and love, acceptance, and hope. The story doesn't feel bloated and feels good despite the heaviness of the subject matter.

Aufmachung
Oh well. Der Zeichenstil ist ganz große Liebe. Die Charaktere sind recht detailliert gezeichnet. Allerdings schwingt auch etwas leicht skizzenhaften mit. Die Charaktere sind sowohl speziell als auch wunderschön. Mein einziges 'Problem' sind die expliziten Szenen, die zwar glücklicherweise unzensiert sind (steht ja auch empfohlen ab 18 hintendrauf, ne), jedoch ist mir in den Gesichtern irgendwie immer zu viel Schnodder und Sabber. (Was ich aber super ignorieren konnte, denn die Story macht das wett.)
Tanaka schafft es nicht nur in unheimlich viel in den Sub Text in diese Geschichte zu packen sondern ebenso eine breite Palette an Emotionen zu übertragen.
Fazit
Gänsehaut beim Lesen war hier an der Tagesordnung. Vieles hat mich innerlich zerrissen und sehr berührt. Die Mangaka setzt sich hier einfach mit so vielen Themen auseinander und schafft es, trotz anhaltend schwerer Stimmung immer mehr Licht ins dunkel zu bringen. Zudem bleibt viel unausgesprochen, was jedoch hervorragend durch den SuB Text transportiert wird.
Eigentlich kann ich das alles gar nicht in Worte fassen, diese Geschichte ist einfach überwältigend und ich wünsche mir noch viel mehr tiefgründige BL Titel mit genauso gut konzipierten Charakteren, die so deutliche Entwicklungen durchlaufen, wie in dieser Story.

April 27, 2024Obsessed with a naked monster é una delle tante serie che nel tempo sono rimaste sepolte in libreria, ed é assurdo perché io ADORO la Tanaka. Era perciò decisamente arrivato il momento di recuperarla e con @pot abbiamo riletto tutta la saga!
Con questa rilettura riconfermo la mia opinione sui primi due volumi; il primo volume si tiene in piedi soltanto grazie a Yumi, Mayama é un personaggio assolutamente dimenticabile e anche la dinamica della loro relazione sa un po’ di poco. Assolutamente dimenticabile é anche la prima mini storia presente nel secondo volume, senza infamia e senza lode.
La storia di Ran e Shuna invece fa assolutamente centro, già con “Il mostro svanisce” in “The proper way to write love”; la storia tra loro due però non poteva chiudersi così velocemente, c’erano tanti, troppi aspetti rimasti da analizzare e proprio per questo ho amato “Obsessed with a naked monster”.
Ran non può lasciarsi il passato alle spalle, é distrutto dai sensi di colpa e spaventato dalla possibilità di ripetere gli stessi errori in futuro, non riesci a muoversi, bloccato nella gabbia che lui stesso a costruito.
Shuna é innamorato ed ingenuo, cerca di lottare contro il passato di Ran ma pian piano si renderà conto di non poter davvero comprendere quello che é successo, di non poter togliere lui quel peso dalle spalle di Ran, ma si scopre pronto a sostenerlo quando finalmente riuscirà ad iniziare un percorso di perdono.
Infine c’è Yumi, nonostante non compaia molto nei due volumi ha un peso enorme durante tutta la narrazione, perché la sua relazione con Ran é stata importante, nel bene e nel male. Devo dire poi che le sue scene sono tutte azzeccatissime, il gesto finale che ha nei confronti di Ran é stato davvero la ciliegina sulla torta.
Piccola nota: il volumetto “il cardo” che si trovava allegato con il primo numero di Obsessed é davvero una chicca, regalandoci uno scorcio del passato di Ran.
Insomma, Happy of the end stava per scalzare Daisy Jealousy come mio titolo preferito della Tanaka, ma ora sono ancora più confusa 🤔😂

Por fin culminó está historia que ME FASCINA.
Esta, junto con Yarichin, son mis historias favoritas de Tanaka sensei.
Amo que mencionaran a Machu Picchu 😜, aunque me da la impresión que anteriormente, ya se ha mencionado Perú y ya se sabe el gusto de la mangaka por el español... O me confundí (?
Sinceramente, espero que haya otro tomo de esta pareja que me encanta y que su amor es tan ahhhhh. No sé cómo explicarlo, considerando el pasado de Hayashida... Además, no me llena el hecho de saber que cada uno vive en una ciudad distinta... Tengo fe 😘.
La traducción de panini me hizo doler la cabeza pues en este tomo por lo menos, hay DEMASIADOS modismos españoles... Pero en fin, es lo que hay y es lo que toca.

El mejor final para una saga dura donde se habla de maltrato y de bullying, pero que nos recuerda que hay segundas oportunidades y que la vida sigue. La redención de Hayashida a lo largo de "The proper way to write love" hasta aquí ha sido sublime. Ver que es consciente de lo que hizo, de que podría volver a hacerlo... Que no perdona que hiciera daño a Yumi, no se justifica ( ni la autora lo pretende) sino que se vuelve a enamorar y decide que, por qué no, también merece felicidad. Nunca borrará el pasado, pero con Shuna quiere un futuro. Y Shuna... Maravilloso también. Me ha dado pena que acabara la saga, pero ha sido de lo mejor que he leído.

Meh, il primo è stato migliore. Capisco che sia più realistica una situazione così, ma di mio avrei apprezzato di più una chiacchierata, un confronto, magari anche un ultimo litigio/scazzo brutto tra Hayashida e Shuna. Invece nulla.
Va bene, la Tanaka rimane comunque una brava, ma questo seguito poteva essere migliore, ecco.

Quando pensi che non c'è più nulla che ti può sorprendere ecco "Tanaka la zozza" che osa ancora di più. Mitica!
Comunque, mi aspettavo qualcosa di più intenso come arco di redenzione di Hayashida, ma ha il suo perché. Bella l'idea del finale.
Mi sono persa il volume extra "Il cardo". L'ho comprato e non lo trovo, ci tenevo così tanto a leggerlo! Speriamo!
