Number Neighbor—A social media game in which a person texts the phone number one digit higher or lower than their own.
After watching, stalking, obsessing over Ivy—the raven-haired beauty with eyes as green as the clinging vine she’s named after—it’s the perfect opportunity for Owen to finally speak to the woman he’s claimed as his from afar.
Gymnophobia—The fear of nudity. For Ivy, it stems from the thought of being vulnerable, whether it be physically or emotionally. It’s caused her to be alone, intimately unavailable, and the only way she feels safe is attraction she feels from a distance.
But then she receives her number neighbor’s unexpected text.
Will being open with the stranger help build her confidence enough to finally take charge of her life and go after what she wants? Or should she be worried about the man who suddenly popped into her world, the timing seeming too good to be true?
After all, in this game, one never knows who will be on the other end of the line.
2.5 'Let me show you what my love and obsession can be like' stars.
“I’m not a sane person when it comes to you, Ivy. You make me fucking crazy. You've turned me into the type of man a woman should fear.”
*****
“How dare you! You stalked me. You lied to me. You abused your power!” she spits out. “Admit it. You love that I was so crazy over you that I infiltrated every part of your life. Make no mistake—I own you and can do whatever I want with you. I will never stop watching you and possessing you, Ivy.”
*****
“I’ve stalked before. Other women have caught my very brief attention, but once I watched them, learned a few things about them, I grew bored. You’re the only one I’ve ever stalked for more than a week,” I tell her.
I read one number neighbor book but this one BLEW ME AWAY!! yes I enjoyed this one so much. It was semi dark and steamy and fun.
dirty and darkish and lorddd those text messages were funny and cute and sassy and I just loved it. Ivy and Owen were a good stalker story. It wasn't to dark just enough. Ivy is so sweet and innocent with a touch of sass when she's talking to her number neighbor.. plus Owen was a good OTT stalker alpha like the plans he made to make sure he was Ivys Number Neighbor was gold. I also love the twist of him being jealous of well i wont say but you won't regret this delicious read.

Ugh... 100% sure I need some sort of help 😏 because for the life of me I can’t find anything romantic about a guy who’s a peeping Tom and masturbate outside the window while watching the heroine naked in the privacy of her own house. This guy violated the heroine’s privacy. This is not ok. And also some other shit how He worn OWs out, how animal he is because he fucks them hard and fast. But no worries everything is more than ok because he stalks and violates the heroine’s privacy because “she’s his woman” (she really wasn’t)
Number Neighbour.. what an interesting game.. the person gotta text either one digit higher or lower (of your own number) and the other party is basically your Number Neighbour. so what happens when Ivy gets a reply from her Number Neighbour? and is the person just her number neighbour, or..?
this book is rather short but the concept here is very different from the usual stalking trope. Mr Stalker here is INTENSE. his obsession for Ivy runs so deep that you'll think he's crazy. he'll go to great lengths just to have a glimpse of his lovely Ivy. it's 100% OTT but damn, who would deny someone like that (or not). when Mr Stalker finally claim Ivy as his, things get real hot 🔥🔥 4 stars!
This is definitely one of the most chaotic stalker reads I’ve read in awhile. Owen / Hunter was beyond obsessed and beyond your average stalker towards Ivy. I couldn’t decipher whether I loved just how crazy and addicted Owen was with Ivy or not but overall, I enjoyed this short story.
Seriously, this book is exactly what I needed in my life. It is way too short, I needed WAY MORE. Like, an entire week of binge reading worth of pages. I LOVE these two characters, their world, their connection, their chemistry.
Owen is the perfect man. He is everything I love in a character. Driven, devoted beyond sanity, obsessed, unyielding... And holy SMOKES the exam room scene... oh... my... god... There are SO many amazing scenes in this one.
What else can I say? This book is so incredibly amazing. It is definitely one of my all time favourites, and I'll definitely be re-reading yearly! K.D, please please please write more exactly like this one! <3
The half a star is because I was intrigued by the initial plot... this would have made an interesting thriller with the secret identity/stalker stuff. And the twist was actually pretty good, I didn’t see it coming, another reason why this would have made a better thriller.
The romance just made me incredibly uncomfortable because there is nothing romantic about stalking, manipulation and this level of unhealthy possessiveness. There’s sexy alpha and then there is unhealthy controlling psychopath and Owen was definitely closer to the latter.
Even the creepiness aside, I wasn’t convinced by the connection between Ivy and Owen, it was way too insta-lovey and there was no connection between them beyond the physical, even for a novella where my expectations for that kind of thing are pretty low.
I picked this up because I love romances where texting/letters/email is a major part of the plot and I was kind of expecting this to be a cute story about a couple that meets because they’re number neighbours. I’ve definitely learnt my lesson about reading blurbs more carefully in the future!
Did you ever use one of those driver sim games that teaches you how to drive or a road race course in the arcade? (The ones you sit in with vibration, lol)
So, you start reading Number Neighbor/You start driving. You are moving along. Pretty lady, Stalker, story…story…story and then BOOM! A BIRD FLIES INTO THE WINDSHIELD! They throw a wrench into the engine and completely throw you off your game and you have to keep driving/reading.
After you calm yourself down, you keep driving…..All of a sudden, the scene gets so hot that your engine overheats, you actually check and make sure you didn’t set yourself on fire!
Let’s just say there are many of these birds, wrenches and engine warning light you have to look at before coming to the finish line. As you finish, Sated, you feel like you just went five bedroom sessions with Momoa. Woah baby.
Completely worth your time. Just make sure you’re wearing dry panties and your engine is in top condition before starting page one.
This book was a stalker's dream book, but still a mess. 😁
I don't know how to rate this, truly. I haven't read a full-on stalker book before. The number neighbour aspect was intriguing and I do feel like there is enough potential for a full-length spicy romance with this premise!
The story was very unbelievable. It started fun, with Ivy's fear of nudity being conquered and Hunter's possessiveness and flirty texting. Nevertheless, when it finally came to Ivy's exam it went haywire and was very nonsensical. Ivy figuring out the hidden identity of Owen and her reaction after were completly unrealistic. Nevertheless, the ending was adorable in a way! 🙈
There was quite a lot of smut, not very polished. Dirty talk and praise, but nothing that would make me tingle and the main act was not that exciting.
This book made me interested in the number neighbor trope and I hope to see it in more books or maybe write it myself! 👀
This book was so wrong and so good at the same time :D the stalking in real life it's horrible but this is a book, and it was really good loved it, all insta possessive and everything , i liked it, i wished was longer.
Ohhhhhhh boy. Is the house on fire right now because *fans self*. What a taboo little treat. I love the psycho stalkers and Owen definitely fits. This was nothing like I thought it’d be and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is a very quick, dark, and twisted love story. I do not want to say to much because it's only 150 pages. But listen you want something VERY sexy, quick, and taboo please pick this up! I highly recommend it.
This is a basically a shorter version of another stalker book I’ve read recently. It was interesting, but I’m not sure if it was my fave. Some of the stuff Owen said felt a little awkward at times.
I’m not sure if it was meant to be a shocker, but the minute that Ivy mentioned Dr. Sage and how she liked him but he never noticed her, I immediately knew that he was her stalker. Maybe it’s just my intuition from reading so many of these books, huh?
The number neighbor thing was intriguing, but I wanted that to be how they met, not that Owen paid some guy to give up his number so that he could message Ivy and blame it on some social media game. Whatevs.
3.5⭐️ because I love obsessive stalkers but it just didn’t hit the right spot.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I’m honestly still blushing! That was hot, a little intense but I loved it! This is my second book by KD Robichaux and the first one by CC Monroe and I think I might be hooked! Sweet innocent heroines and possessive alpha hero’s are always my favourite trope 😊 I can’t wait to read more, now excuse me while I jump in the snow to cool off lol!
“Baby, when you're mine, I don’t take that lightly. I’ll possess you. I’ll own every inch of this body. You’ll do what I say, and you'll be mine to do whatever I want. You’ll become a part of me. Are you really ready for that?”
Owen be crazy with it and his thinking process had me screaming. Ivy was so cute and she lowkey loved his crazy ass. You KNOW she did.
This is a fun and quick read. You will laugh and you will probably sit there and think "Do I like this? Do I hate this?"
Ummm WOW!! what can I say.. this book was phenomenally good!!
Number Neighbor—A social media game in which a person texts the phone number one digit higher or lower than their own. <-- sounds kinda crazy but hey.. why not.. So what happens when sweet Ivy gets a call from her Number Neighbor?
Owen has been obsessed with Ivy.. watching, stalking, and when the opportunity to finally speak to the woman he’s claimed as his from the get go comes to pass.. he jumps on it.
Ivy knows what she wants.. and that is her boss.. but she cant just go to him and throw herself at him can she? So when Ivy gets her Number Neighbor and his name is Hunter.. can he pull her out of her shell.. get her to go after what she wants?
thanks for the amazing read!!
This was a very fast paced and extremely good book! It will keep you on the edge of your seat!!
Owen’s been watching Ivy for a while. He decides to go ahead and begin their relationship by introducing himself as her cell phone number neighbor. Ivy’s intrigued and carries on their conversation, in which they mostly discuss sexuality and relationships. But Owen wants more, and he’s willing to play dirty to get it. Though the deception might mean losing Ivy in the end...
I liked this lots. Nearly a five-star read from me, because I liked the obsessed stalker trope and his dirty talk. Thought the ending could’ve been a little better with regards to how certain truths unravelled. Also, he’s stalked other women. Apparently it was short-term, but still. What a buzzkill.
I will forever be amazed at what CC Monroe and KD robichaux when they bring there minds together and write.
Yet another book you cant tell there are two different authors.
Oh Number Neighbor!! How I loved reading you!!
What would you do to be with the one your soul craves. Well you stalk her of course. Owen and Ivy both obsessed with each other without the other knowing.
This book is very fast paced but amazing.
There was something about Owen that I loved. A Man that went after what he wanted!!
A hot little story! It was a fast paced and quick read. I liked the premise of the number neighbor and Ivy's relationship with Hunter. I wish the story had moved a bit slower and that Ivy wasn't so quick to forgive. If you can suspend reality for a little while and like a little crazy - this is definitely for you! :)
When these two authors get together to write a book you can expect the unexpected. Number Neighbor is a fast-paced read that is fun, hot, and a little crazy with it's twists and turns that the story takes. When you think you know what is going on just be ready to be surprised because KD Robichaux and CC Monroe do their best to keep the surprises coming.
Omg omg omg!!!!! This steamy read was fantastic!!!!! It sucks you in from page one and before you know it you’ve finished the book. I literally could NOT put it down and honestly didn’t want to! KD Robichaux and CC Monroe did an amazing job with this stalking alpha male. The story and chemistry between Ivy and Owen was off the chart!
#virgin-h#ottH#doctor#shortbook#stalker-hThis book was crazy hot. He was over the top obsessed and the crazy thing is so was she. She has had a crush on her boss since forever and thinks he doesn’t notice her. Little does she know he more than notices her and goes to crazy lengths to get them together.
This is my first book by this author and I loved it! To start off I loved the Greys Anatomy reference that was made. But the story was well written and I loved the characters. I look forward to reading more from this author.
this book was honestly just a whole vibe of weird. like, that's it. i kept reading, thinking maybe it would get better, but nope—just more awkward, uncomfortable moments that made me question my life choices.
