Hot Alien #3

Alien Appetite

Rate this book

These aliens just might be insatiable!

Tessa is beginning to regret her impulsive decision to sneak onto an alien spaceship. She’d wanted to keep her best friend safe and enjoy a nice interstellar getaway free of charge. But everything goes to hell when an unknown race of aliens crashes her space vacation and kidnaps her along with a group of terrified Krinar females. They seem more like robots than aliens, with bodies covered in an impenetrable layer of thick cold metal, yet their shape is still manly.

One of the aliens in particular seems to be very interested in her. She’d tell him she was “flattered, but no thanks,” if she thought he could understand her words. The only sounds he makes are like clicks and glass breaking, which means they have a lot more than a language barrier standing between them. So much for her useless high school Spanish class! He seems to want her, but what if he wants to use his weapon hands to skewer her? Or is he motivated by hunger of an entirely different nature?

If the latter proves true she really, really hopes he doesn’t want to hold hands, because that looks about as dangerous as making out with Edward Scissorhands.

Received this Book From Author For Honest Review
I Give this book 3ish Stars

This book has a Language Barrier, if you don’t like those than this book isn’t for you. I on the other hand, Love Them Very Much.
If your going in for hot scenes and a Language barrier for kink, this is your book.
But if your going in for the language barrier being a main focus, seeing the interesting way it might get technical in being solved in some form, than this isn’t one of the best ones.

Romance: 3
Heat: 3ish
Drama: 3.5
Suspense: 3.5
Dark(?): No
HEA(?): Yes.
Language Barrier Technicality(?): 2.5ish or 3 out of 5,
Language Barrier Main Use(?) is Pretty Much to Be Funny/ A Set Up for Comedy.

This is one of those books that short isn’t always best, and this story does feel rushed.
This book definitely feels rushed in the way of Tessa’s story (which IS this book), i know that there is a storyline(s) weaving through it and normally that wouldn’t typically bother me. But I did find it very distracting cause it definitely took away from Tessa’s Story Quite a bit, to where the book seemed to be rushed and pushed to the side in some section as if the author didn’t know what to write, so instead chose to focus on someone else.
That’s the problem with language barrier Romances, it just honestly can’t be rushed and you at least gotta show some effort on both ends, in means of trying to actually communicate. But that wasn’t even put into the book, Mainly it was Tess saying aloud the way their words came out and the author made it funny, I was the first few times but the longer I read the more it became apparent there was not going to be an effort to even try a proper convo. But finally at the VERY end, we got a high hope glimpse, Then the end.
There wasn’t much Tessa & Bocc’dar as I would’ve like cause I would’ve loved to know more of him especially. Him & Tess, spent majority of the book apart, and when they were together it was implied and that’s a shame.
The detailing was vague in a way, I also didn’t like seeing so much of the bedroom (and no I’m NOT talking about sex, literally that’s where Tessa’s always put or going to)
Sarah got much better convo scenes, Heck she even got better in-depth sex scenes too, than Tessa did. To me that shows who was favored more, and who didn’t really matter.
This was a let down for me cause the Main character for this book is Not the Main Character in actuality and that let the story for THIS book to suffer.

Would I read more from this Author? Possibly.

You need to read the previous books to understand this one.

And after all the mess Tessa made about saving her friend Sarah from her romance with a krinar, now it's Tessa herself in danger...

Or not.

In the previous book we read that Tessa and six other Krinars females, from the geological research team, were taken from the ship by an alien race of robots.
Unlike what they would think, they did not abuse women.
Even without understanding their language , Tessa could tell that the robots didn't want to hurt them, and in fact, the look that one of them, always with a trident weapon in his hand, gave her was one of desire, not of anyone thinking of killing her.

And even though she was the weakest race of all there (not a krinar or having nanocytes in its body), Tessa was the one who bravely fought to get rid of the robots - even though she didn't have the physical strength to do so.

Soon, she found herself being the target of a tournament. The robots fought to death in an arena, and as far as she could understand, she was the prize.

In the end, the warrior with the trident won and took her to what would be his home.
She was not placed in a dungeon, but in a room as comfortable as possible.
And surprisingly, she discovers that beneath that metallic outfit there was a gorgeous humanoid... very interested in having sex with her.

Bocc-d'ar was a Ro-heem.
This race had suffered a massive attack some time ago, where all the females were killed.
When he and his team arrived in Sagren, a planet they were cultivating, they were surprised by an unknown ship, and even more so when they discovered that there were females.
Females should always be protected, and if those invading beings were unable to protect them, the Ro-heem would.

But one of the women was very different, not only in physical form (she was shorter, weaker and softer than the others), but she also fought like a warrior who would not surrender. And she was the one he chose.
But to have his right assured that she would be his mate, he would have to fight for her.

Ja-Karr happened and Bocc was the winner. He then took Tessa (whom he calls Tsss) to his palace. He was one of the rulers of the five Ro-heem kingdoms in Meturgia.

Tessa met a new being, the Dar-fnar (a kind of flying dragon).
Tessa's attraction to Bocc was huge, but she had to flee to save the other krinars.
However, Tessa's attempt to escape proved unsuccessful because she was unaware of the dangers surrounding the place.
With no way to escape, she - and her captor - entered into a routine of passion, sex and attempted communication (the Ro-heem didn't have the technology like krinar, where they had a translator chip).
Over the days, Tessa was making new discoveries about the people who were her new home, as well as some enemies they had.
Even more and more attracted - and in love with Bocc - Tessa knew she needed to help her krinar friends - and maybe return to Earth with Sarah.

But she turned to be the reason of a war and soon she would have the decision to take which side to defend and honor...

Tessa got aboard a Krinar spaceship for an adventure – one she never expected. She was not allowed to explore the new planet Sagren with the team because she was a frail human, so she was kept back with her new women friends in the geological research team when her Earth friend Sarah left with her Krinar husband, Vorek, to explore the terrain. All went well until another set of aliens attacked. With everyone frozen in panic, Tessa takes charge and has the one male show them to a hiding place. Now Tessa is hiding out with her six female Krinar roommates in the narrow space between two walls, hoping the alien attackers don’t find them. The aliens communicate in metallic clicks, scraping, and chattering, but nothing she can figure out. She had everyone load up on water in the cafeteria, but they were running out and would die without water. Dry throats made them cough and the enemy would hear them. So Tessa left the wall to get more water.

Squeezing back into the wall, one of the glass water bottles falls and breaks on the floor and she cuts her hand trying to grab the shards! They hear the creatures coming so cannot hide the mess. Suddenly something pounds against the wall and it starts to crack away, leaving her to face the aliens – metal ROBOTS! She is pulled out of the wall when the one who seems to be leader sees her bleeding hand and throws her over his shoulder. He puts her on a table and cares for her bleeding hand. The aliens pull the rest of them out of the wall and they are treated well, allowed to get food and water. But the Krinar are waiting for Vorek and the expedition team to return and rescue them since they haven’t communicated with them for days now.

They suddenly hear gunfire in the dome and the metal men are all excited and yelling. They tie them all, but when they hit Lund, the male Krinar, in the head, Tessa jumps up and fights. The leader stops the fight and each of the metal men picks up a female and runs outside of the Dome and to a black spaceship. There are at least 100 of these metal men – there is no way they’ll ever escape that many. The smaller shuttles take them to a larger ship and they are transported away from Sagren. When one of the aliens tries to help Tessa not lose her balance, she screams not to touch her. That triggers the leader, who has shown strong interest in Tessa from the start, to fight with him and stab him with his trident to protect her. To her shock, Tessa sees blood seeping out of the alien body! Robots don’t bleed, so what are these aliens?

Back on Sagren, there are now 5 pregnant women! Something about the planet is allowing the Krinar women to conceive. The Council and Elders want them all back on Krina immediately. With Vorek and the others being forbidden to follow after the captives, what will happen to them?

What I enjoyed about this story is that the reader is not aware of what’s going on, so the experience is almost “live” as we wait for whatever is going to happen. It is a very effective way to keep up the tension and, with the aliens not able to communicate with the captives, the reader is also kept in the dark about what is being asked and the alien reaction when they can’t comply. From the start, the reader sees Tessa emerge as a leader, willing to subdue her own fears for the good of the group. She takes the lead and tries to keep them safe. They are now on their own with no rescue planned – do the robotic men mean them harm? Or is there something else waiting for them?

Tessa snuck on the spacecraft in the previous book to help protect her best friend from her Krinar boyfriend/husband. She's regretting it now. As she's coming back with supplies to her friends, she drops a bottle of water that shatters right before the wall closes up behind her. Unfortunately, she cut her hand so there are drops of blood which lets the alien invaders of their habitat know just where they are all hiding. They break thru the wall & one of them grabs her & tends to her wound. When those that were doing research outside the habitat break back in & start to fight this metal alien species, the aliens grab up the women & kidnap them. They take them back to their planet as their species has very few women to help them continue as a species. Tessa is the first one to be on the "block" to be won in a vicious battle for the strongest & only survivor to claim her as his. Bocc-d’ar is the one that wins her, but he knew from the first moment he saw her that she was HIS! She learns along the way, that he is not made of metal, but is a sexy alien. There's a communication barrier as neither can speak the other's language, but the one language they do speak is the one in the bedroom. Tessa tries to get back to her friends only to be faced with life or death situations & Bocc-d’ar has to come to the rescue.

This is book 3 in this series, and it's a great series. You can't help but root for the underdog (or in this case, the alien) to win the girl & live HEA. The characters are great & you have a lot of fun as you read about Tessa's antics. Pick up this series. You won't regret it.

Alien Appetite by Josie Walker is the third book in this series which is written in the Krinar world. In this book, Tessa who has stowed away on the Krinar alien ship her best friend was leaving earth on discovers that space travel is not that exciting after all. This all changes when another group of aliens descend on the Krinar ship and kidnap all the women including Tessa. They are carried away and placed on another alien spaceship and taken to another alien world far away in another galaxy. This is the beginning of a space adventure full of excitement, suspense, and lots of awesome sexy scenes with a very hot alien barbarian that Tessa can’t seem to resist. If you love sexy alien men that show their women lots of attention in and out of the bedroom then you will love this book. Plus, this book is a wonderfully fun addition to the Krinar books. Alien Appetite is an amazing suspense filled adventure.

This third book in the series is well done. Individuals from the first two stories have a few chapters of their own and may have seemed superfluous if you didn’t read the previous books. Tessa seems to always be sorry for her impulsive choices. I was hoping at least once she would reason things out. Even though they don’t understand each other, the H is the more sympathetic of the two. There is certainly an ending that leaves an opening for another book but it is an HEA. This is an interesting view of what happens when different cultures clash.

This book was so much fun! I'll be honest I didn't like Tessa in the second book but in this one she was awesome! I loved the new alien species and her alien suitor he was just so yum. The violence was a little more graphic than i'd like which means it definitely got a reaction out of me. I'm still wondering what happened to the other ladies that were kidnapped with Tessa will they get their own story? There were a lot of loose ends in this book that I wish I had gotten answers too but all things considered it was a good read.

When college student Tessa became a stowaway on a Krinar space mission, she didn’t know that there were other aliens out there. That is, until she’s kidnapped by the Roheem aliens and claimed as a mate by the sexy and gorgeous Bocc-d’ar. Tessa needs to escape but thinks a little fun with Bocc-d’ar can’t hurt. What happens when Tessa finds out her new world is full of dangers that only Bocc-d’ar can keep her safe from?

Alien Appetite is an action-packed, suspenseful and steamy story that mixes science fiction with fantasy

This was a decent follow-up for the series. It basically follows Tessa going from one abduction to another and getting sold. She watches a "clash of the titans" fight between these aliens and when it is all said and done, she sees that they are not as grotesque as she thought.Bocc-d’ar is the hot, sexy alien that she is the prize for and she thinks that having a little fun before she makes a break for it can't hurt....can it?

All Tessa wanted when she sneaked aboard the Krinar spaceship was to keep her best friend safe and have an adventure. But when aliens attack and kidnap her and a group of Krinar females, she begins to regret her impulsive behavior. One of the aliens seems to have a special interest in her. Could he be attracted to her, and what does that mean for her future? Entertaining and spicy, Alien Appetite will take you on an enchanting journey to a faraway planet! Tessa and her alien come from different worlds but fate unites them! Can't wait for more stories about the Krinar females!

This is very different than the usual Krinar books it is more centered on a different group of aliens. I actually found them very endearing. There are a couple of passages that were extremely funny. Those were to do with language differences between species. You will recognise them when you come to them in the story lol. great book!
