3.5 stars. This reminded me a lot of The Mysterious Mr. Ross. A seaside town setting with a slightly old fashioned feeling, a teenage girl with male friend sidekick, a mysterious man and a story with a touch of fantasy. I found this a slightly darker story though.

I just sat down and read straight through this book. I am very happy with the storie, it kept me transfixed to the point that I didn't even realise two hours had about passed. Loved it.
