Over the years, I have written a number of short stories and novellas to accompany the Cassandra Palmer novels. These were gifted to my readers on my web page, where they remain. But some people wanted them revised and gathered together into a single anthology, which is how this collection came about.
I should note here that do not include the Lia de Croissets shorts, which were written for anthologies and over which I do not have the rights to self-publish. I have, however, included the Pritkin POV scene from Tempt the Stars, which is also on my web page, as it was as much a short story as a missing scene. I hope you will enjoy.
"The Gauntlet", "The Queen's Witch", "The House at Cobb End", "Shitty Beer" "A Family Affair", Shadowland" "Pritkin's POV from Tempt the Stars" "The Day of the Dead" "Black Friday."
Karen Chance is the author of two New York Times bestselling series, plus a number of novellas and short stories, all set in the Cassandra Palmer universe. A full-time writer since 2008, she was previously a university history teacher, which comes in handy when writing the time-travel aspect of Cassie’s crazy adventures. She loves Las Vegas, the main setting for her novels, but currently lives in Florida near her family home. Visit her website or connect with her on Facebook here.
I really enjoyed this fun collection of short stories set in the Cassie Palmer universe. There are Pritkin POV stories that add another perspective to great scenes from previous books as well as entirely new bits and pieces that weave in between the books. There are funny moments that wouldn't qualify as their own independent work but add to the already loved characters. I very much enjoyed this collection!
Fast-paced and passionate supplementary short stories
While there were a few editing errors left in, overall this was a fun and brief trip into Cassie Palmer's world. Except in these stories we're mostly in John Pritkin's head. Fans of the series will love these bonus adventures and multiple easter eggs along the way.
so I read this because of my addiction to this series. I loved the added context to Cassie going to hell and Pritkins time there. Man, I can't wait till the next book
Several short stories involving mostly support characters from the Cassie Palmer series. It was nice seeing many of the characters in lead roles. Quite entertaining.
Some if the stories are really good and some are not. In one of them Cassie is stuck in a timeloop. That story is also pretty long. That is a really good one and worth it.
