[spoilers here n there, so skip this if you're planning on reading, which I'd never recommend] first of all, the reason why I started this novel is coz of number of edits I have been seeing abt this and the way it appeared in so many urdu must read books list, so I thought why not give it a go!
I haven't finish this yet, not even sure abt if I'll finish it either, anyways some thoughts as I read...
one more thing, idk abt it, BUT if this novel came out after Jannat ke pattey, then I'm 10 hundred percent sure this is a very amateurly made copy of JKP! wanna know the similar things?

Kidnapping - ✔
multiple identities of one person - ✔
All info on undercover agents (so many similar points even in this its hard to refuse) ✔
one dumb cousin who wants to marry her - ✔
Girl being modern (acc. to them) and then coming back (still haven't come back totally tho)- ✔
- so manyy, but you get the point.

✔ The heroine is the most dumbest female lead I have ever come across, period! man she's just soo annoying!
for eg: (there are tons, but lets go with one for now) so there is this situation where a bomb blast has happened, many underground agents are on brink of exposing their identity, criminals on loose, high alert situation, everybody is trying to move to a safe place and here comes our female, standing on the door with her hands wide saying "hum aap ko kahi nahi janege dege" to hero (who's a major) goshhh, like asdghjfgk! i don't even know how to react to this, it's so DUMB!
not only this, the gurl has no self respect whatsoever (cmo'n writer don't try to justify this by saying mohabbat har kisi ko aisa hi bana deti hai, NO! love doesn't give you right to cross somebody else's boundaries, and basically harass them by telling that you love them n why can't they love you EVERY DAMN TIME YOU SEE THEM, I mean it's so frustrating and uncomfortable to even read, let alone the feeling of the person who's facing this) by the way, all this while is not happening under normal circumstances, - minor spoiler - this girl 'coz of her stupid mistakes and non sensible moves has got kidnapped (not to mention she stole a zamarrud necklace from some drug dealer mafia) and while the hero has rescued her n kept at safe place, all she can do while staying there is telling him every time why can't he love her, and she doesn't want this n that to eat, totally disrespecting him each n everytime!

✔ The romance is more on cringey side, it's toxic one sided love till now ! tbh, at this point if they both don't meet in end I'll be more relieved, lol it's that bad till now!

✔ The dialogues are so choppy and unrealistic!

makes me wonder why am I even continuing this.... If you're for a strong or even sensible female lead, do yourself a favor and skip this!

I started this book and didn’t develop any interest in it but later on as the story continues further my mind blown with every plot. Although the girl’s character (Neelam Abrar) seemed a bit irritating to me, but Major Aas Aalam was really interesting character. You will enjoy his character. This novel tells you about the struggle of Pakistan army and ISI. The way our army and agents fight for the sake of their country, their patriotism, everything in this novel will make you feel proud of your country, your Army…

Oh god. This novel had me feeling embarrassed for about 90% of the pages😖. The story was okay, the ending was good, but there were loopholes everywhere. The sudden change in Major As Alam's feelings was weird; it didn't feel like something he already had but was just hiding😒. Neelam's obsession was just embarrassing; it could've been portrayed as a dignified sort of love, but she chose to act like that. Overall, the entire novel was a big no for me.😑

This novel felt like teenage characters cosplaying as adults with serious responsibilities and failing badly. I got second hand embarassment😭

I read it finally. I started reading it out of my love and curiosity for intelligence activities.
Neelum's character was so disappointing for me throughout the novel. No personality grooming even after getting trained by the army. Her character was so childish can't bear her. Major Aas was treating her right but she was not getting to the point where she was wrong. She was on the mission and in the middle of the mission she stopped sharing the sensitive information related to the enemy just to tease the mission's head for not accepting her love.
Not all stories need love and romance. I found it unnecessary in it. If this novel was just related to spy and intelligence activities it will be good but that love of Neelum for Major Aas was so forcefully included that it felt imposed and there was no need for it. My hate for neelum has a sudden increase after reading the scene where she was forcing Major Aas to marry him for the sake of proof. Like she was threatening him by not giving him the proof against the biggest enemy of their own country. Like what rubbish is this. Who can even tolerate such character. Behn ko self respect chuu ky bhi nhi guzri.

I read this novel because of the negative reviews, but it was not that bad!!! There was a little resemblance between Namal and this novel. Faris used to like Zumar's hair and nose pin, and so did Aas Alam. Anyways, till the first half of the book, I was not too fond of the character of Neelum, or, you could say, I hated her, but my view changed (not completely) when I read the other half, since there are people like her who exist in real life. Major Aas was just a fine hero for me, and about Minhaj Azhak!!!!!! I'll be honest, and I don't like the fact that I have love-hate feelings for this man. I'm just a little sad for him, like I was for Hashim from Namal, but of course, he deserves the ending. Overall, the ending was satisfying!!! and I'll not forget to mention the poetry; it is so good, especially the Arabic one.

Hey I read this book in 2 to 3 days .
Hmmy is book se Kuch adat pry na pry lkin "mai" ki jgah hum "hum" zaror use krny lgy hyn jis se hmara ghr kafi preshan Hy 😂 Khair hmm ne ye book bht dill se read ki Hy and I really like it hmmy neelum ka kirdar thoraa irritate lga tha cuz hmm to kabhi Pyar me bhi iti tazlel na krway ...
Ab chlty Hy hmary pyary M Az ki trf love and hate ka relation Hy bai is se hmm thory sad bhi Hy is ke anjam prr just like Hashim ( he is to kuchh like Hashim kardar) ....
Major Ass alam hmmy kuchh khass psnd ni bht ajeeb hyn mtlb ita kon drd deta hy apni muhabbat ko hmm bht na Khush hyn is ke raviye se too muchh toxic 😑

As a casual reader, I feel very disappointed when I pick a book once in a blue moon and it turns out to be a huge disappointment. I want my wasted time back (so I can waste it on something less useless).
Author kept reminding us pieces of trash time to time that how amazingly beautiful the female lead is throughout the novel.
Female lead is most annoying and dumb thing I've ever came across in a book. Male lead was domestic abuser. Minhaaj was Hashim Kardaar 2.0.
Still one star is for minhaj❤️

I had so many expectations from this novel , I was expecting a love triangle like bismil , but i couldn’t get attached to minhaj’s character so much , Best the story of tiger and neelam was cute both had problems both were at fault at times.

اچھی بات سے شروع کرتے ہیں،کہانی کا پلاٹ کافی منفرد تھا۔ایک آئی ایس آئی ایجنٹ،ایک عام شہری اور ایک دہشتگرد۔ یہ ایک بہت جاندار کہانی ہوتی اگر اس کےکردار مضبوط ہوتے۔ کہانی کے تینوں ہی مرکزی کردار میری نظر میں بہت کمزور تھے۔ نیلم ابرار کی بات کریں تو اس کردار کی واحد خوبی اس کا خوبصورت ہونا تھی۔ سارے ناول میں اس "نازک وجود" نے بدتمیزی،بےباکی اور بےوقوفی کی ہر حد کو آزمایا۔ کہنے کو محترمہ اتنی نازک ہیں کہ ذرا سی بات پہ ہوش گنوا بیٹھتی ہیں مگر ایک کانٹریکٹ سائن کرنے سے اتنی رستم بن گئیں کہ سالوں کی ٹریننگ چند ماہ میں مکمل کرلی۔ Second hand embarrassment کا مطلب مجھے صحیح معنوں میں اس کردار کو پڑھتے ہوئے سمجھ آیا۔ خیر اس کے بعد میجر عاص عالم،سنجیدہ اور پروفیشنل مگر "اس نے غصے سے ایک ہاتھ کا مکا بنا کر دوسرے ہاتھ پر مارا"۔ اس کے علاوہ ناول کے آخر میں اچانک سے جو محترم کے اندر کا رانجھا بیدار ہو گیا اس کی بھی کچھ خاص سمجھ نہ آئی۔
اور آخر میں منہاج عزضحاک جتنی اس کی ہائپ تھی اتنا بھی اچھا نہیں تھا یہ۔ جتنا ظالم اس کردار کو دکھایا گیا تھا اس کی بیک اسٹوری بالکل بھی مضبوط نہیں تھی جس کی وجہ سے کردار بھی زیادہ اچھا نہیں لگا۔

So bizarre and unrealistic and that’s exactly what made it hilarious! 😭😭Plus, instead of the same cliché plots and lines, it was something new compared to all the Urdu books I've read this year.
Would highly recommend not using logic while reading this!!!!!
