War brought him to Afghanistan, but for James Stone, it is a chance to help those trapped between the conflict. But in a land where every decision holds powerful and deadly consequences, a single act of kindness will cost him more than he ever thought possible.
Western armies sweep through the country fighting a brutal and unpredictable enemy that thrives on chaos and destruction, no matter the cost. As the monsters of Afghanistan step out of the shadows, a simple mission quickly descends into a terrifying fight for survival for Stone and his outnumbered companions. At each turn, the Taliban are always one step ahead. But is their ruthless tenacity the result of decades spent learning the land, or does an unforeseen ally guide their hand?
One thing is clear. If Stone wants to live to see his family again, he cannot give up. Because his enemies are relentless, and they take no prisoners.
The Killing Business is the latest in the five star James Stone series, and the start of a brand new trilogy that takes Stone back to where it all began. Witness the descent that turned Stone from an honest journalist, to Britain’s Most Wanted Fugitive.
If you’ve not read a James Stone book before, there has never been a better time than with The Killing Business. You won’t regret it.
Another fast-paced, action packed James Stone thriller. I loved this interesting adventure story... James Stone never gives up until he gets all the answers. If you enjoy Mark Dawson or the Jack Reacher books, you will love Robert Clark's The Killing Business. I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
This book is certainly different to anything i have read before James as a journalist joins a group of army personal led by Sgt Peacock in Afganistan and are involved in Taliban attacks . Wont say too much as i don't want to give the plot away . Very fast paced read and well written ,would highly recommend, sure you will enjoy .
