Short review on the series:

Stalking Jack the Ripper is a four-book mystery series that follows Audrey Rose Wadsworth, a daughter of a Lord in 1888 London, who loves forensic science. As she teamed up with her intelligent yet annoying classmate, Thomas Cresswell, to solve murder cases, they embark on a thrilling journey that promises chaos, death, and love.

This is my first mystery series and I think it’s great for introducing readers to the genre. It’s a bit spooky but not too scary, with sweet romance and the right amount of thrill that keeps you turning the pages. I also love how openly this series addresses the issue of death. Through the horror of those innocent deaths, it reminds us how precious and special every life is and what it means to truly live. The growth of both MCs throughout the series is also very inspiring. Stalking Jack the Ripper series will always have a special place in my heart. I highly recommend it.

Review on this ebook bundle:

I’m totally in love with this ebook bundle! I grabbed this bundle at a great kindle deal and I’m so glad I did. I love how you can literary read this series back to back. (I have to find ridiculous reasons to stop reading lol) The formatting is tidy and consistent, so it’s pretty easy to read. Being able to access all my highlights and bookmarks without switching from book to book is another great bonus, which is so handy for reading a mystery series.

One thing you ought to know (which I didn’t know) before buying this bundle is that this edition doesn’t include any bonus contents.

What are the bonus contents? For book 1, there is a novella, Meeting Thomas Cresswell, that can be found in paperbacks and certain ebooks (but not in this one) which you can buy on kindle. The same goes for book 2, with letters between Thomas Cresswell (the male MC in the series) and his sister. As for book 3, as far as I know, it’s only available in some exclusive physical copies.

So, if you tend to be emotionally invested in MCs, you would probably want to read those bonus content very much. You might want to consider buying all the novella and ebooks separately (be sure they include the bonus!), or you can buy the paperbacks afterward, as I did.

Honestly it's just an amazing saga, at first I dive deep, of course some parts of it are less entertaining, but the relationship between Aundrey Rose and Thomas is just a delight, honestly the cases were really a challenge and not easy to resolve at all. love them all!

Amazing story detailing the hunt for infamous killer Jack the Ripper. I learned quite a lot as it was very informative. It got a little dull in the middle, but at the end it was exciting again. I feel like my mind knew before me because I told myself I hope her brother isn’t the killer, I like him he’s caring. Then this book laughed at me and told me yes Nathanial is the killer! Audrey’s relationship with Thomas is developed at a realistic pace. I like how flirtatious he is and how she responds or her lack of response for that matter. I can’t wait to begin the next book in the series and see what happens in Romania.

The series follows Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell as they investigate multiple murders, with each book investigating a different murderer and taking place in a different location. Throughout the series Audrey Rose and Thomas also navigate the intricacies and propriety of upper class society in the Victorian Era.

Kerri Maniscalco combines all the best parts of historical fiction, murder mystery, thriller, romance and young adult fiction to create an incredibly entertaining series. Each book has a combination of fact and fiction, and appear incredibly well researched, all of which allows for an immersive story. The plots follow a typical “whodunnit” structure which keeps the reader hooked until the end of the books.

I have absolutely adored reading this series. I loved Audrey Rose and Thomas as main characters, I really enjoyed their banter throughout the books. I also thought the side characters were brilliant and received plenty of page time. I thought the books were incredibly well written and the plots of each kept me engaged for the entirety of each book. I also loved the inclusion of diagrams, images and letters throughout each of the books, as this added to feeling immersed in the world created by these books.

I would highly recommend this series but please be warned as there were at times graphic descriptions of the murders which some people could find triggering.

My Rating: 4 stars

My thoughts:

This series is absolutely stunning and incredible to binge-read. As much as I enjoy watching invetigating bodies, I love Kerri Maniscalco's Jack the Ripper series. Each book has a distinct story that I certainly love, and every deduction that Audrey Rose and Thomas made is absorbed and really manipulated to every situation. I love how technical they are, how well it is written, and imagining it like in movies; it’s so damn amazing. Despite all the murders, the love grows, and it gives off this light feeling throughout the book. I didn’t find it hard to focus on the love story and the murders; it easily blended them well, and it’s all written beautifully.
.
Connections to every murder and the places are well executed. Going back to the first book, there are already hints; I actually didn’t notice them quickly, and revealing them in the last book gave me this adrenaline to remember them and make them connect to murders. It’s amazingly written, and I love every story that she wrote; everything is like a crime scene, and I’m in love with it.
.
I’m super happy that I finally got a chance to read this series. It’s so good to binge read it, especially since they’re connected, and finally, I met Audrey Rose and Thomas, and I love knowing their adventures. I highly recommend this series if you love crime and solving murders. This is something you want to check out.

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 stelline

Absolutely love this series. Following the characters and the clues was so much fun. I was able to guess the "killers" in the first and third book, or so I thought. The twists and turns she added were amazing. The character growth is slow, but fits with the era, for the most part. There are a few spots, especially in the last book that move slowly, but it is worth the wait. I am an adult and a true crime fan, and the amount of research she put into Jack the Ripper and H. H. Holmes is amazing. I do like the clean ending, but I think H. H. Holmes capture happened differently. Im going off a vague memory of a pod cast though.

“At some point, we're all someone's hero and another's villain. It's all a matter of perspective.”

(spoiler a continuación)

Fantastic twist on the popular topic of Jack the Ripper and other known topics. The author used aspects of Sherlock Holms to put the pieces together in this captivating series. It truly takes the tradition and throws it out the window. This set is a great young adult book set for those into crime and mild suspense.

Truly a phenomenal series. The author did a remarkable job of seamlessly intertwining historical facts and events with her fiction characters. It’s both dark and warm, deep and refreshingly light. A great read throughout.

This is 1 of my favorite book series of all time & it’s really nice to have all the ebooks in 1 collection. My only complaint is that the 4 extra “Meeting Thomas Cresswell” chapters from the mass market copy of “Stalking Jack The Ripper” are not included in the collection.

I loved this murder mystery. Yes, it was YA but I still loved it. It was set in Victorian era. But it was a good read. Read the whole series during the summer. Thomas was a true gentleman. He was amazing. He was like Sherlock Holmes but better.
