CE Murphy began writing around age six, when she submitted three poems to a school publication. The teacher producing the magazine selected (inevitably) the one she thought was by far the worst, but also told her–a six year old kid–to keep writing, which she has. She has also held the usual grab-bag of jobs usually seen in an authorial biography, including public library volunteer (at ages 9 and 10; it’s clear she was doomed to a career involving books), archival assistant, cannery worker, and web designer. Writing books is better.

She was born and raised in Alaska, and now lives with her family in her ancestral homeland of Ireland.

She also writes paranormal romance as Murphy Lawless and cozy mysteries as Catie Murphy.

This was just EXACTLY what I needed to read this evening with a fried brain from too much editing.

As far as I'm concerned, it's absolutely show canon, and I will FIGHT anyone who says it isn't.

I did NOT realize what I was getting into even after I saw the cover! Sure, the car looked like an Impala but I didn’t know it was the Impala. So, imagine my surprise when I read about two agents coming to meet Joanne Walker. After I got over the shock, I started to really dig the crossover even if the story wasn’t all that. I also liked reading about how the guys looked from the inside when Jo turned her shaman gaze at them. It’s plain to see the author is a long-time fan of the show because of the details that made it into the story, such as Sam’s innate magical abilities and Dean’s unhealthy attachment to Baby.

So, if you’re a fan of both these series and have been missing them, give this short a try. Best of all, it’s available to read here for free!

Short story ‘fan fiction’ crossover with hints of the ‘Supernatural’ TV series. It’s found on the author’s website and takes place immediately after ‘Demon Hunts’ and wraps up a storyline from ‘Walking Dead’.

After getting drunk at her BF’s birthday party and ‘partially’ recovering from the resultant hangover, Jo heads over to the local garage to do some work on Petite. She ends up helping a ghost-hunting team of brothers investigate a rash of totaled cars.

Kind of slow paced with not much action.

Fave scene: floor hockey.

While recovering from a hangover from New Years Eve, Jo is at the garage working on Petite when the two guys from wendigo hunt show up. They tell her they had to stash their car because classic vehicles has been damaged in the last few month. Jo figures it is connected to her and Petite and tags along. Read what they find and how it is resolved.
