My problem with this series is I really don't like the main characters. I get it that it's a YA series but up till the very last book I still feel like slapping Agatha, Tedros and to a lesser extent Sophie. They are whiny, prideful, rash, and basically dashing around like headless chickens and doing stupid irritating childish things that put others at danger. Maybe only in the last few chapters of the final book do we hear something remotely intelligent and respectable coming from A and T. From start to end I found it hard to feel invested in these characters. I only lasted till the end to see how it would end....and I wasn't impressed.

The plot comes with tons of loopholes which I won't bother going into. The saving grace is there are pretty cool Nevers and secondary characters like Hester, Dot, Anadil, Hort, Merlin etc. At least they bother to think and use their talents instead of running around like bimbos...yes Tedros is basically a male blond bimbo.

BTW, these 3 books read like 1 big book instead of 3 separate stories, i.e. each book ends with a cliffhanger instead of a proper resolution.

If you want something that doesn't require much brain cells this may be entertaining. Otherwise just pass on it. You aren't missing much.

School of Good and Evil - A World without Princes
This had been the second book of the series, so far the story is about two girls, Agatha and Sophie, they both got kidnapped and brought to the School of Good and Evil. Sophie was put into Evil school meanwhile Agatha was put into school of Good. They thought they've been put into the wrong school, but the headmaster insist. The girls wanted to go home and tried to escape multiple times but failed. Sophie found her prince ,Tedros, Sophie have to choose between her friendship and a relationship.
Whether she will go home to Galvadon with Agatha or stay at the school with Tedros. Sophie decided to stay at school with Tedros, Agatha try every way to make her best friend stay with her rather than the prince. Suddenly a Dean appear, Evelyn. Suddenly Sophie started getting these symptoms like warts and her teeth starts. to fall out. She started to turn evil and tried to attack Agatha, Agatha fell in love with Tedros, he fell in love with Agatha and teamed up together to escape Sophie. Sophie was heart broken, she insist these symptoms aren't hers.
She was tricked to kiss the school master, he turned young again and is here to be Sophie's true love.

I'd give it 4.5 stars. It was satisfying to read the end and know that Aggie and Sophia 's friendship remans strong throughout the entire story. It was also nice to see that Tedros grows into a wiser person but one line was very telling in the story. The line where Tedros is trying to come up with a plan and thinks, "What would Agatha do?". It shows the power of one person's affect n another. The author also showed that Agatha had a tendency to take over and he called her out on it, making Agatha question why she was always rushing to come up with a plan. He showed that she felt that she wasn't worth anything unless she was in that role. Very interesting point as many of us are defined by what we do/part we play in our roles with our friends.

I recently reread this series and I just realized that there is so much violence (surprising cause I didn't remember it that way). The story is honestly great, I like how it shows a dark twist on fantasies but I loved very few characters, as they mostly felt flat to me. I understood how they were to be perceived but they didn't really prove to be that way. I absolutely detested tedros, still do. Sophie has my soul in her hand and that's it I just rambled, but nice plot but I kind of lost all my enthusiasm for this series at the end of book 3, the story felt complete unsatisfying yet complete but I want to finish it for finishings sake but what the hell is up with the Netflix show, did they not even read the book?

Overall a good book. I only read the first one but I find it entertaining and cleverly written. I got a bit annoyed with the characters and half the time I wanted to slap them and other times give them a hug, but that doesn't mean they're bad! I get attached to fictional characters, so don't listen to me about the characters!
Its a great book that I recommend.

Personally, I did not think that the writing itself was great in this book, however, the reason I got so hooked into it was because of its amazingly imaginative plot, that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the 1st book to the 6th. The school for good and evil 3, is a continuation of the tale of Agatha and Sophie. The two best friends were admitted into the School of Good and evil, however Agatha, the daughter of a witch, gets put into the Good side, and Sophie, the village beauty, is put into Evil. As the books go on, it is evident that there was no mistake in the selection of sides, as Sophie increasingly resents Agatha, and plots against her. I was sucked into all this cleverly thought out world, and although the word choice and writing left something to be desired, this Fantasy novel was good. I would definitely recommend it to someone who enjoys a simple and easy read full of fantasy.
