Born in Vienna in 1954, she studied at the local Applied Arts Academy from 1971 to 1974. Since the publication of her first illustrated book in 1977, she has worked as a freelance picture book illustrator specializing in fairy tales.
I did not like when it said that the hunter cut open the wolf's stomach. That part seemed a bit too much to imagine for a little kid. The illustrations were not interesting. The colors that are used are very light and do not really emphasize anything. The text is on the left side with the page being all white and the picture is on the right side through out the book. The way Little Red Cap is outlined, does not make her stand out. Overall, the story is easy to read and it teaches kids to listen to what their mother says.
