Stephenie Meyer is the author of the bestselling Twilight series, The Host, and The Chemist. Twilight was one of 2005's most talked about novels and within weeks of its release the book debuted at #5 on The New York Times bestseller list. Among its many accolades, Twilight was named an "ALA Top Ten Books for Young Adults," an Amazon.com "Best Book of the Decade So Far," and a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year.
Meyer graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English Literature. She lives in Arizona with her husband and three sons.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't do it even after the first 70 pages of the first book...I'm not willing to continue, it is not for me. The main character annoys me too much. I gifted the series to my local little library and I hope it has found another home where it is appreciated.
I'm still waiting to be swept up by an 100 year old vampire til this day. I love their relationship at times, but I feel Edward can forget he is the boyfriend NOT THE DAD! It was really cute story if you love paranormal romance.
My forever comfort books, only books I ever read both in Spanish and English ❤️ not the best writing, or best plot, but definitely has a place in my heart forever.
In middle school, I effing loved the Twilight saga. Now.. I wonder what was going on in Stephanie Meyers head when she wrote this. The amount of weird incest plays, and oddly Mormon beliefs smeared quickly onto pages doesn't translate well. The perfect book for the tween mind, but not for someone with a frontal lobe that has developed. Forever #TeamEdward though!
Edward Cullen??? Sir… if dramatic obsession was a personality, it would be YOU. The staring, the intensity, the “I haven’t slept in 100 years but I’ll watch you breathe” energy???
And I’m supposed to act NORMAL?? Absolutely not.
Jacob?? Running around all warm, shirtless, emotionally available-ish… Like okay?? Competing HARD for attention 👀
And Bella??? GIRL.
You really said: “Why choose… when I can emotionally multitask?” 💅
Miss ma’am was out here juggling vampire thirst and werewolf heat like it’s a full-time job.
At some point I stopped asking “who will she pick?” and started thinking…
“Why are we limiting ourselves here??” 😏
Because let’s be honest — This wasn’t a love triangle. This was tension, temptation, and terrible decision-making wrapped in one chaotic package 🔥
Do I judge it? Yes. Did I eat it up anyway? ALSO YES 😭
The angst?? Delicious. The longing?? Unbearable. The chemistry?? Questionable but addictive.
Genres (aka what this chaos really is): 🧛 Obsession-core romance 🔥 Love triangle (and then some 👀) 😮💨 Tension you can CUT with a knife 💔 Dramatic “I’ll die without you” energy 🌲 Moody fantasy thirst trap ✨ Zero logic, full vibes
Verdict: Toxic? Maybe. Entertaining? ABSOLUTELY.
No thoughts. Just vibes… and poor decision-making 😌
The Twilight series will always have a special place in my heart because they were the first-ever books I read for me, and not for school. I have reread these books around four times each. I remember when I was reading them for the first time I was addicted. I could not put it down. Now I know the plot isn't the greatest, but I still love them. Basically, Bella falls in love with Edward, a one-hundred-year-old vampire. She later gets conflicting feelings for Jacob, a werewolf, and Edward's enemy. She ultimately chooses Edward in the end. Along the way, they have to face James, Victoria, and the Volturi. I recomend these books to generally people who like fiction, fantasy, and romance books.

so i live for jacob pre-werewolf transformation. i also grew up on the books and movies. definitely feeds into every teen fantasies and desires, giving wattpad vibes and we all know it, but like thats the point. its a dirty pleasure. HOWEVER, i will never forgive stephanie myers for ruining jacobs character, as well as the whole weird resume thing

read this whole series in a week while i was grounded because i was crazy. loved this, felt the month by month with the song come to life in the book and i felt it hard. don’t play about bella and edward 💯💯💯💯 books way better than the movie they did them extremely dirty.
To be fair I haven’t read this series for YEARS, however it was instrumental to me awakening as a reader and even after all of these years I love the series.
I remember being at the eye of my seat and very invested in the story, and running to get the next books as they were finished! However it would not quite be “GOD TIER” for me so four stars!
Unlike most I saw the movies before I read these and really, I mean what can I say, its Twilight. The books have so much more and very descriptive and the movies for me just made for a smoother read. x0x0x0
Yes, I know this book is full of unhealthy relationship tropes, crazy plotlines, etc. BUT I reread it as a teenage girl CONSTANTLY. It is a cultural touchstone. Therefore, it has to be rated 5 stars.
I was a lot younger when I fell in love with the books, and I read it before I watched the movies. It's to this day still a lot better, and I fell in love with it all over again I would reread it anytime
I did not read the last 2 because they are with different people than the first four. But I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!! The 2 is boring, like REALLY boring. But just keep reading, because the 3rd one is better and the last one is REALLY GOOD!! ;) DEFINITELY READ!!!
The books were AMAZING! I read these every-time I’m in need to escape, it’s so easy to be immersed in the universe of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen *winks*
Wonderful books from my childhood that leave me feeling nostalgic every time I pick them up. I think these books are essential when it comes to romance/YA.
