Not what I expected. I kind of thought this author wrote about cheating wives but this one isn't about that. This is about a different kind of lifestyle. The title is both accurate and inaccurate at the same time. Yes, the characters in this book are nudist but that isn't really the whole story. They are also very sexully free. You can be a nudist without being sexually free. Mike is a young man who is going to college for electronics back in the early 2000's. He meets his lab partner in chemistry Emily and they get close together and start going out. He is invited to their Thanksgiving dinner and he accepts. He didn't have the money to go home anyway. She tells him before they leave that her family are nudists. He grew up very conservative and this is a whole new experience for him but he goes with it. He has some trouble when he gets there for a while. He can't help but get an erection. He does keep getting compliments on his package. We get the story of the family. The grandparents were in the hippy era in the 1960's. They liked some of what the hippies were about but not all. They liked the nudist part and the free love but not all the politics. The grandparents lived together and swapped partners all the time. They both got pregnant and had a boy and a girl. They grew up together and went off to college together and ended up falling in love and having a daughter, Emily. What the parents didn't know before this though was that one of the men was sterile. So Emily's parents are actually half siblings. Nothing they could do at this point since she was already pregnant so they just decided to get married. Not sure this was really needed in the story. It was interesting but it didn't really affect the rest of the story. Because of the nakedness and openness with sex, Emily and Mike have sex for the first time. There is a lot of talk about premature ejaculation and working on making it better for Mike. Emily's mother starts coming on to Mike saying she is sexually frustrated and wants to help Mike with his "problem" which will also help her with hers. She is in an open relationship with her husband. He doesn't do anything until he talks to Emily. She tells him to take care of her mother. So they start having sex as well. They go back and forth to school and the family. The story mainly occurs all through school and a little bit after. Mike and Emily get 2 female neighbors that turn into nudists as well. They each go naked into each others apartments. One of them is a virgin and seems to have a crush on Mike. Emily talks Mike into letting the girl give him a BJ so she can "practice" before her date the next day. She also tells him it is okay if he goes down on her as well, just no sex. This goes on for a while until her roomate gets married and she ends up moving in with Mike and Emily. Then they start having sex together. Initially it is just Mike with both girls but later on the girls start doing stuff together. After school Mike and Emily get married and work for her father. They have a child but Mike misses the sexual diversity. They invite their old roommate/lover to come and work at the company and the relationship picks up again. So Mike is having sex with Emily, her mom Lisa, the roommate and every once in a while another mostly lesbian nudist friend of Emily's every month or so. The only time I think the author took things too far is when Mike's conservative parent show up to one of the Thanksgivings naked. That was also the partner swapping night and Mike's parents went along with that. In fact when the group was asked who wanted to be part of the event, Mike's mom who gave him crap about having sex with Emily, raised her hand. Overall this is a story filled with sex and nudity interspersed with everyday life like school and work. Interesting read.

This story didn't need rape!

I had to stop reading at the overwhelming injustice. I imagine the story taking better turns later. I know these things are real. I've been raped numerous times as a child & the majority of my partners were raped, most before puberty. Guess I'm not over it...

Very well-written and nicely descriptive of the dynamics of family nudism and the interactions between family members with different attitudes. I was hesitant about giving this book five stars only because of its length. It is far too long. The last two-thirds of the book fadesto little more than daily diary entries and could easily be edited out.

Interesting and fun

Good writing, though too detailed in places, making those spots drag a bit. The premise is plausible and believable, particularly the 60s references

This story is more about wild sex and less about nudism. The nudist lifestyle is over shadowed by the amount of sex in this book. Overall a good story though.

Don't read it for nudism.
This is a slice of life from students to maried couple with a lot scenes and sex partners. No plots, emotions or introspections.
