So, I haven't been having a great reading year so far. I am trying to focus on keeping my grades up, so I haven't been able to read a lot. But I am almost finished my exams, I have my last one tomorrow (I know I should be studying) but I wanted to write a quick review while taking my study break. I am almost done this semester and I am excited for next semester because I will have a lot more free time to read! I am excited because I have a book reading buddy, and we do buddy reads! I just wanted to give a quick update before I write this review, but yea :)
This manga series is amazing, I can't wait to read more. It is about a girl named Mai who loves to talk about ghost stories. One day, she walks into an abandoned house and accidentally breaks a camera, along with injuring a man. In order to repay the boss of the man who was injured, Mai is forced to work as a ghost hunter. She comes to love this job, making new friends, forming new relationships and learning more about herself.
I am almost caught up to where I was in the anime. I can't believe that I am still reading this series, I usually finish manga series in two days at the most. But I never get a lot of time nowadays, so I try to squish it in between my study breaks. It was fun and worth it, I loved this volume. It isn't as amazing as the other volumes but I still loved it. I love how the crew is always reunited, the chemistry between the characters and the pacing.
I hope that the next volume will give me more answers to the questions I have about Mai! I can't wait to read the next volume! I'll be off to study more, and be back when I am finished my exams and start reading again!

Kresba se mi moc nelíbila, ale dalo se na to dívat.
Příběh celkem ušel, tedy až na ten konec. Konec mě opravdu zklamal, očekávala jsem něco úplně jiného. Asi by mělo být dobře, že mě autorka dokázala překvapit, ale v tomhle případě bych byla radši, kdyby se to odehrávalo spíše podle mých představ.
Hodně lituji, že jsem si přečetla mangu, protože to anime mám poměrně ráda. Sice moc nemusím otevřené konce, ale aspoň bych si nepokazil názor na celé tohle dílo.
Manga nebyla vůbec strašidelná, což mě jako ani moc nevadilo, ale anime mě, když jsem to poprvé viděla, hrozně vyděsilo. Takže mě trošičku mrzelo, že tady se tak nestalo.
Žádný z charakterů mi nepřirostl k srdci, ani jsem si nějaký nijak zvlášť neoblíbila.
Obálky se mi vůbec nelíbí, dokonce se mi zdá, že na posledních dvou obálkách vypadá Maiu hůř jak obvykle.

This case was less intense than the previous one. It also involves a curse again, though this time it was centered around a family and dates back to various generations. Another thing different this time, Naru was hurt early on so the team will have to deal with the ghosts all by themselves.

I love this Vol. But why did they decide to end the anime here? Sure, you get a little bit of who Namu is, but the Mango goes into it so much more. Yes, this is a great arc... I just wish the anime went farther.

The previous case (in the bloodstained mystery mansion) is my favorite just for the setting, but this whole case is a very close second. I love the complete VOLUME of ghosts in this location. There are just so many that it feels utterly overwhelming for everyone. Love the slow creeping dread in this one. 5/5

A young girl is brought to the office. Some kind of mark has been placed on her, and it's evil. A woman explains about a cursed how, how people have died there, and how some mediums that came in to investigate also died there. Birds and dogs have also died there.
The behavior of some of the children from the house has been changing. One of them even becomes violent. Ayako tries to do an exorcism on the one that became violent and some kind of animal spirit can be seen rising from his body. Naru ends up possessed by the entity.
Mai has another one of her frightening visions/dreams. She spots a cave with a shrine inside and spirits making their way in from outside. Later, when she is awake, she and the others investigate and find things are just as she dreamed.
One of the young kids seems to be possessed.

Naru's down. Monk continues to be awesome by stepping up. Masako needs to give Mai some credit since she knows her abilities are trust worthy as well. On the flip side, Mai needs to trust in her own abilities more. She knows her dreams always mean something so why does she question herself every time?? Ayako has some shady stuff going on and I don't remember how it will resolve.
Overall, good volume.
PS:
Lin is so right about the hazard pay. lol. Give my man a raise. I don't care how well-compensated he is, the job demands more.

One of the most horryfying ghost story i ever read.
By an accident, Mai got side job at SPR, an office specify in ghost haunting. One by one client came with more and more horryfying case to solve, from after-school ghost story until curse from god.
