Leon’s trusted very few people in his life…but that’s starting to change.

Finally understanding why love and attraction were always confusing for him has changed Leon’s life in more ways than he can count, but the biggest has been how he sees Morgan. They’ve gone from barely being friends to so much more but trust requires honesty, and Leon knows it’s time to start opening up about his past.

Leon’s trust is worth more than any declaration of love for Morgan.

Morgan knows how special he is to Leon and he doesn’t need the words to prove that to him…but he also knows that learning more about his boyfriend will take their relationship to a whole new level. However, when finding out more about Leon means visiting his family for the first time, Morgan is starting to realize he should be more careful about what he wishes for.

Really nice story. I'm glad to see Leon finally comfortable in his physical responses to Morgan. Plus for Morgan to get what he needs both in his role as a little as well as Leon's lover. This is an intricate tale, and I'm not surprised M.A. Innes took two novels to get to this point with this couple. Hopefully we'll get another story about them soon, but if not we can be sure to find Leon and Morgan popping up somewhere else.

I love Morgan and Leon! They might be my favorite characters from this author, and that's certainly saying something, since I adore nearly everyone who comes out of her head! The care that they each take with each other makes my heart happy. I love how the different parts of their relationship develop as they grow closer, being friends and lovers at the same time. I adore Nana, of course, and she's undoubtedly the only reason that Leon has any ability to interact with people appropriately. I love when Shaw/M.A.'s characters show up in other books, and this was the perfect place for Ford to give Leon advice, but it was nice in a way that Cody didn't hijack the book, since Morgan already has enough to deal with having Destin trying to take over encourage his relationship with Leon! I can't wait to see when these two pop up in someone else's story!

Learning to Love is a fantastic age play romance by MA Innes. The second book in The Education of the Heart series, it picks up where Learning to Trust left off. And, omg, I love it!

Leon and Morgan are a professor and student in an age play relationship together. They're trying to navigate their way through their new lifestyle. As well, they are working on their D/s aspect, with some fun master scenes.

Leon and Morgan are truly wonderful together. Each brings out the best in the another. The trust and connection is wonderful. The love between them is all consuming and wonderfully developed.

And of course, there's lot of heat!

The writing is fabulous as usual. Nobody writes age play any better than MA Innes. You might find a few equals, but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone better. And, as MA often does, appearances from past characters are included which just ups the fun.

Learning to Love is sweet, sweet, and more sweet. MA Innes perfectly sums up their relationship as a full time Daddy/part time boyfriend one. If you love age play romances, this one is a must read. Granted, all of MA Innes' books are must reads.

WOW! I loved this book even more than the first one! I loved getting to see their relationship grow but also getting to see the characters develop and become more themselves! This book had everything I could have asked for! It has the honest conversations that are so necessary to the relationship, it had plenty of sexy scenes and it’s so clear to see the love that they share for each other, but each character also found the family that they have so desperately craved for most of their life! I love the way that Leon takes care of Morgan, but that he also is very aware and conscientious to make sure that he isn’t controlling Morgan in ways that he doesn’t want! And I love that Morgan is patient with Leon as he figures out who he is and what he wants their relationship to look like but also helps Leon to realize that he is a much better person than he thinks and works to make Leon see that! I absolutely love the scene where Leon gives Morgan his new bear because it shows both of those things and shows the love that they have for each other. Leon gets so worried that he’s done something wrong when Morgan starts crying but he doesn’t know how to fix it because he doesn’t know what’s wrong and so he comforts Morgan until he is able to talk, but it’s Leon’s fear that Morgan can hear in his voice that makes him able to talk again and show Leon how perfect he is to Morgan! I think that scene was pure perfection for me and talking about perfection the end could not have been more perfect for me. I love that Leon shows that he will always take care of Morgan by dealing with the Stan issue without any hesitation other to make sure Morgan was ok with him taking care of it. And I love that Leon ultimately decides that he wants everything sexually with Morgan that he can possibly have no matter what his sexual identity might be. The last chapter was just perfect and the perfect ending to their part of this series! I’m sure that we will get more of their story in the other books in this series or so I hope and k honestly can’t wait to keep reading this series if these first two books were any indication of how this series would go!!!

Leon has up to now trusted very few people in his life but it is changing and finally understanding why love and attraction were always confusing to him has changed his life in more ways than he can count. The biggest change for him is how he sees Morgan as they have gone from barely being friends to so much more but that trust needs honesty and Leon knows it is time for him to open up about his past. Leon's trust is worth more than a declaration of love for Morgan who knows how special he is to Leonbut he also knows that learning more about his boyfriend will take their relationship to a whole new level. To find out more about Leon then Morgan will have to go visit his family for the first time and that might not be as fun as it might appear.

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the series where Leon finally put everything in the right place in his head and heart so that he could fully commit to Morgan and be there for him when he had to be reminded of the attack on him that meant he had to change roommates at the start of the series. I loved Morgan - you just want to give him a hug and tell him to hold his teddy, use his binkie and everything will be ok (just mind his Daddy). Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains mature MM content in a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.

Leon and Morgan started their relationship in Learning to Trust. That book had me ready to see more of this young couple, so I was excited to jump into this one. It was fantastic!
Leon grew so much during the timespan of these books. He took charge as Morgan's dom and daddy, and it was glorious. HIs growing confidence didn't diminish his deep concern for Morgan at all, and it was sweet to see the care he took with his boy. Leon wanted to make sure Morgan experienced all the things he'd fantasized about, and he enjoyed the experiences just as much. The love between these two was beautiful.
There were moments of stress, lots of humor, and so much wonderful heat in this story. I loved every moment. This duet of books tells a sexy kinky tale of love and connection. I am happy to recommend it, and I'm once again thrilled that this author brings her men back as secondary characters in books about other lovers. I know we will revisit Leon and Morgan, which is perfect, because I don't want to let them go.

Shaw Montgomery/ M A Innes have daddies down to perfection. Their names make a book an automatic purchase for me.
Leon is no longer the Ostrich Daddy that he was in the first book. Still not totally secure in the idea that he's a good daddy, he sets out to do his best by Morgan. Morgan blossoms under his care.
Morgan is as caring and supportive of Leon. He's not ignorant of his daddy's insecurities. He just knows that Leon is what he wants and needs.
Leon is a demisexual character. If you'd asked him at the beginning of book one, he might have said Ace. But as his relationship with Morgan develops, so does his heart.
This is a sweet and sensitive book. Shaw Montgomery, no matter what name they use, offers the best daddies and littles, doms and subs. And of course, there are cameos from previous books!

MA Innes is one of the best in the genre

MA Innes has given us one of her best stories that I have read. And I have read them all. In the past I have felt that some MA Innes/Shaw Montgomery books end too early. We get an HEA but I sometimes have felt that wanted more of the characters after the"I love you's. I want to read about what happened after that.

This book is everything I could hope for. I love these characters, the sweet hotness. Holy Hotness.
This book is one that I will read over and over again.
MA Innes has out done herself.
This book is part 2/ book 2 for Leon and Morgan and you should also read Destin's book first too for background and serious enjoyment of another great book.

Blooming Relationship

Leon and Morgan's story continues (must read Learning to Trust - well recommend the whole series to truly appreciate Leon). Leon growth as a Daddy and a Dom is so wonderfully written that you can just see him bloom before your eyes. Love that he truly had a don't care attitude about anyone's opinion, all he cared about was making Morgan happy. Morgan was so sweet but with a devious side that made his Daddy squirm at times, lol. There was laughter, tenderness, hotness (oh boy!), so much growth and full of love. And Nana...lmao...what an awesome visit. And all the cameos from the other books just makes you feel part of the gang cause you know everyone. Well except for the "weird" neighbor, which I hope I'll get to know real soon.

When things have gone wrong, changes can help.

When Morgan gets a new roommate to help recover from a previous crazy roommate that the school should have removed sooner, Leon is the perfect match for Morgan's needs as Destin's crazy antics pull the pair together for the healing that they both need.

The off campus apartment allows more privacy and opportunities to build on the Daddy/Little pairing that Leon did not know he was developing as Morgan used his Little and submissive talents to build on Leon's need to be controlling and caring to Morgan.

Destin weaves his love of Little life and submissive service to his Dom and his Daddy as they try to protect them all from the past mistreatment from the wrong roommates.

This was what I wanted. I get so attached to M. A. Innes’s characters and I needed Leon and Morgan’s relationship to progress. What I especially like about this is how they both were learning, mainly about themselves. People grow and learn every day and it never stops. Going on this journey with them touched so many emotions. Man I’m still worried about Leon’s parents interfering. They definitely don’t give off the warm fuzzies that’s for sure. I’d love to meet Nana. Now that’s a girl I can relate to lol. Once again M. A. Innes has given us what we always want. More!!! Something tells me this won’t be the last we see of these guys.

Leon and Morgan!!

I adore Leon and Morgan and this was a great follow up to their first book.Learning more about Leon’s upbringing helped explain how he became so uptight and why having Destin as a roommate was integral to Leon growing into the perfect Daddy, dom, and boyfriend for Morgan. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of the gang in future books and possibly visit from Nana!

So freaking sweet, adorable, awesome, lovely

I loved this book. I locked this series. León was perfect. The perfect daddy for Morgan. Everything was amazing in this series it was almost slow burn, but it wasn’t there was so much wonderful things going on that it couldn’t be slow burn, but it has that flavor of romance. So good. Highly recommend.

A sweet ending

Of a sweet book. Who knows what you need ...sometimes you don't know what you need. But when you meet your other half they help you figure out what you needed. And a HEA never gets old

Outstanding

The wonderful loving relationship that continues to develop in this sequel to Learning to Trust is the highlight of this story. The fact that the characters are so well written and that there is a nice level of heat to it are bonuses.

I love the second story in this duet even more than the first story. Leon is coming into his own as he navigates what he means to be Morgan’s daddy. On Morgan’s part he is willing to embrace more of little side. They are a perfect match. The audio version was well done.

Love this book.

You need to read the first book to understand this one. That being said this book was great and I love the happy ending.

Ostrich Daddy might be my favorite thing ever. This book was super sweet and I’m going go have to go back and read about Destin, Ray, and Avery. I love the overlap in books.

First read: November 25-26, 2020
Second read: April 1, 2023
Third read: December 14, 2023
Fourth read: February 6, 2025

This second book of The Education of the Heart series was well written with great characters. Like a lot of M.A. Innes' books, this one took place in the same fictional town, connected to the same fictional university, and had some different cameo appearances by some of the characters from his other books. This interconnectedness is truly one of my favorite things about Innes' writing, as it's always entertaining to see old faces again in a fresh story. Anyway, I enjoyed this novel a lot.
